A third and final wave of LEGO Creator 3in1 sets will, amongst many sets, be released on the 1st of June 2024. January 2024 saw a range of brick-built models from animals and mystical creatures to real-life objects such as cameras and roller skates. This was then followed by only two sets in March of 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox and 31158 Sea Animals. June's wave of LEGO Creator 3in1 models will unfortunately follow the same trend with only two brand new sets being released. These are 31151 Terrifying T-Rex and 31153 Modern Beach House. The former of these we'll be covering in today's article of 31151 Terrifying T-Rex which will retail for $59.99 with a total of 626 pieces. Those 626 pieces will be used to create a brick-built T-Rex with moveable parts such as its arms, legs and face. The word 'Terrifying' in the set name implies that the buildable T-Rex will have some added scariness into its expression and build to create a mighty dinosaur to scare all the other prehistoric animals. A small side build of some scenery may also be included along with the T-Rex which will most likely be coloured brown or red. Of course, like every LEGO Creator 3in1 model, two more alternative builds are included along with the main build for that $59.99 price tag. These two builds are usually related to the main original build in someway, so we could possibly be expecting two more dinosaurs such as a Triceratops and a Velociraptor for example. 2024 has already been a busy year for LEGO City as its played a massive part in LEGO's resurgence in Space-themed models. The non-licensed theme saw a whole subtheme of Space branded sets release at the beginning of the year, which will soon be followed by 60439 Space Science Lab releasing on the 1st of April 2024. And exactly a month later another Space-branded LEGO City set will become available... This time it's 60441 Space Explorers Pack which releases on the 1st of May 2024 exclusive to LEGO Stores and LEGO shop@home. The 2024 model includes a total of 426 pieces retailing for an extremely friendly retail price of $29.99. Such an acceptable price-per-piece ratio isn't common for LEGO City suggesting 60441 isn't the usual LEGO City Space-themed playsets which we've seen so far in 2024. 60441 Space Explorers Pack could be a LEGO City Space branded Battle Pack. We've already seen the LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs come across to other LEGO themes including the likes of LEGO NINJAGO earlier this year. 60441 could be a Battle Pack including a range of LEGO Space Minifigures along with different accessories and vehicles as they research and explore new LEGO Planets across the galaxy. A couple of alternative builds may also be included explaining why over 400 pieces are included for only $30. Crystals, mysterious plants and vegetation, along with plenty of Aliens may also be included as a Battle/accessory pack to expand your LEGO City Space world. 60441 Space Explorers Pack Set Name - Space Explorers Pack Set Number - 60441 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 426 Price - $29.99 Release Date - 1st May 2024 Or 60441 Space Explorers Pack could be something completely different, but either way it'll make another great addition to the LEGO Space-themed sets in 2024. Over a year ago LEGO Lord Of The Rings returned with 10316 The Lord Of The Rings: Rivendell being one of the main highlights for LEGO in 2023. Even though it wasn't the start of the return of a fully-fledged theme, many fans were absolutely thrilled that the middle-earth theme was making a comeback in LEGO. But the fun doesn't stop there for LEGO Lord Of The Rings fans as 2024 is set to bring even more brand-new LEGO models... Those of you keen LEGO fans will know that since February 2023 we have been expecting another LEGO Lord Of The Rings set licensed under the 18+ LEGO Icons brand. A survey leaked a brand new LOTR model, along with plenty more 2024 sets, scheduled for a 2024 release if the success rate was high. Clearly, the set went down well and we can now expect a brand new LEGO Lord Of The Rings set from the 1st of June 2024. In particular, 2024's LEGO 18+ Lord Of The Rings set will be 10333 The Lord Of The Rings: Barad-Dûr. The Summer 2024 model will include a total of 5,471 pieces retailing for a high, but also reasonable price of $459.99. Another expensive set for LEGO Lord Of The Rings fans but another highly detailed and Minifigure full model - perfect for play and display. The actual build of Barad-Dur, Sauron's fortress in Mordor, is expected to be around 83 cm high, 44cm wide and 36cm deep with the Eye of Sauron taking up most of the set and being visible at the top of the build. However, a detailed and Easter egg packed interior will also be included with dungeons and armouries for Sauron's army of Orcs along with a throne and a treasure room. Just like 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell and as mentioned earlier, 10333 is Minifigure scale and will be absolutely packed full of new and exclusive characters along with a couple of returning faces. A modular and two Botanical Collection sets are just some of the many sets releasing in 2024 for the LEGO Icons theme. And thanks to the price comparison site brickmerge.de we know of another brand new 18+ LEGO Icons set releasing next year. In particular, this will be another licensed LEGO Space set with strong rumours suggesting it'll be a new brick-built NASA model. It's been a couple of years since the last LEGO NASA set with 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery being the last one for the LEGO Icons theme. This new LEGO NASA set will be under the set number 10341 but with no rumoured price or piece count there's much more to say about the 2024 set. However, with a rumoured release date of April or May 2024, we're likely to get more information as we head into next year. After plenty of rumours, a total of three teasers and leaked images online, we finally have official pictures of the next LEGO Ideas set. On the 4th of April 2024, 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: The Red Dragon's Tale will become the fourth model releasing for the LEGO Ideas theme in 2024. The latest fan-made set will also become the most expensive model of the year for the theme with 3,745 pieces retailing for $359.99. In 2022, LEGO and the LEGO Ideas theme announced another collaboration with Hasbro, this time joining forces with its Dungeons & Dragons brand. Master builders could submit their own Dungeons & Dragons-themed brick-built models on the LEGO Ideas platform with one of these designs becoming an actual set. The contest was announced in October 2022, and it was revealed early last year that Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds emerged as the winner. Since then, the LEGO designers along with BoltBuilds have been hard at work creating the latest 18+ licensed set for the LEGO Ideas theme. And now we're just less than two weeks away from its global release in LEGO stores and online at LEGO shop@home. In February, LEGO first teased the 18+ model with a short video on their social media platforms with a Gelatinous Cube from the D&D franchise. This was then followed by a similar video but this time with a Mimic. And then, only last week, LEGO started a countdown to the official presentation of the LEGO Ideas model which took place earlier today, revealing another mouth-watering D2C set for 2024. At that price point of $360, 3,745 pieces are included making it just over 700 more than the original model. That original submission very much played into the game's main selling points as BoltBricks created a brick-built  idea that includes various pathways with interchangeable doors to always tell a story with different objectives. Luckily, the LEGO designers have replicated the original ideas and further added their own. As you build your own D&D adventure you can search for magic items, discover Easter eggs and navigate around traps, monsters and, of course, the huge red dragon. In the original submission, the giant brick-built dragon was green, but now we have a large bright red dragon which includes red/orange cloth wings. Even though the use of cloth wings for Dragons is arguably worse in quality, it does reduce the price of an already expensive set. One of the various pathways of the D&D model includes the Witches Tower which features a laboratory, an armoury, a well, and a trapdoor to deter unwanted visitors. Another highly detailed building includes the Tavern. Here, many brick-built stories can begin and end especially as it's located right next to the tower and the dungeon lurking with plenty of mysteries. The blue and purple roof of the Tavern can be removed along with plenty of other sections of the Tavern and the tall tower. LEGO has almost made it a more complex modular building with different floors and sections connected with technic pin holes. A stone grey bridge is also connected to the edge of the tower, allowing access to a singular castle turret. Around this area, there's plenty of life and complex builds for vegetation and trees. A couple of dirt and tiled paths can be seen along Minifigures to explore the whole model and, hopefully, avoid any traps. Along with the main buildings and scenery of the 18+ model, three brick-built creatures are included: an Owl bear, a displacer beast and a beholder. Along with the giant Dragon, these are the main monsters of the set which can be displayed throughout the brick-built scene. The beholder in particular is such a unique monster and it's extremely creative the way LEGO have designed it. And 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: The Red Dragon's Tale isn't complete without six brand new exclusive Minifigures. These Minifigures are an Orc rogue, Elf wizard, Dwarf cleric, Halfling fighter, Alax Jadescales the Dragonborn and Ervan Soulfallen the human. Whilst we eagerly await the next LEGO Star Wars UCS set of 75367 UCS Venator Star Destroyer, we have our first information on a 2024 UCS set. In particular, it's the first UCS LEGO Star Wars set of the year releasing on 1st May 2024 in order to celebrate Star Wars Day on 4th May 2024. And next years Star Wars Day UCS will come under the set number 75382 and will be a remake of a TIE Interceptor. 75382 UCS TIE Interceptor will revisit an older UCS set of 2000s 7181 TIE Interceptor. This set was one of the first LEGO UCS sets and so 2024s Ultimate Collector Series version of the TIE Interceptor is likely to be very different. Yet it will still include some of the most unique features of the TIE Interceptor such as it being one of the lightest, fastest and most responsive starfighter in the Star Wars universe. Currently, we don't know the amount of pieces included in 75382 but we do know it will retail for $239.99 when it releases on 1st May 2024. This also indicates that it will be way bigger than 2000s 7181 TIE Interceptor which only included 703 pieces at a much lower price. And if 75382 UCS TIE Interceptor follows on from last year's May the Fourth UCS set then we can expect two Minifigures included with one definitely being a TIE Pilot. Two waves of LEGO Star Wars sets have already been released in 2024 but as with every year, the best sets are still yet to come. That's because five brand new LEGO Star Wars sets will be releasing on 1st May 2024 to celebrate Star Wars Day just a few days later on the 4th of May 2024. Amongst these sets is one that's been circling around the rumour for quite a few months: 75378 Grogu BARC Speeder Escape. The 7+ set is the latest to be based on the third season of Mandalorian which released last year. However, LEGO looks to now be exploring the less spoiler-friendly scenes including the flashback where Grogu, with the help of the Jedi Kelleran Beq, escape from the Jedi Temple. That's the main basis of 75378 which includes a total of 221 pieces retailing for $29.99. A high price tag but that's due to a large number of Minifigures included. In total 75378 will include four Minifigures of Grogu himself along with Jedi Kelleran Beq and two 501st Legion Clone Troopers. Along with an exciting lineup of Minifigures, we of course have the main build of the set which is the BARC Speeder used to escape the Jedi Temple. Due to only 221 pieces included in 75378, this isn't a larger build but it is sufficient enough to create a nice-looking BARC Speeder. Peach's Castle and now King Boo's Haunted Mansion, the LEGO designers really are giving us iconic Super Mario locations in LEGO brick built form. That's right one of the three LEGO Super Mario sets that have been officially revealed as part of the Mario Day celebrations is 71436 King Boo's Haunted Mansion. The brick built Haunted Mansion will retail for $74.99 with a total of 932 pieces. Like 71435 Battle with Roy at Peach's Castle, another King Boo's Haunted Mansion has already made appearance in LEGO form for the LEGO Super Mario theme. Back in January 2022, 71401 Luigi's Mansion Haunt-and-Seek released along with two other Luigi's Mansion themed LEGO models. Together, they created a Haunted Mansion course involving a range of enemies including the first appearance of King Boo in LEGO form. Now the leader of the Boos and ghosts is back with 71436 King Boo's Haunted Mansion. The brick built Haunted Mansion, like the new Peachs Castle, is more of a display model as well as another expansion to the course building system. A lot more of the 932 pieces are used for the walls and inner details of the mansion, which can be fully enclosed, rather than a bunch of random plates going in multiple directions. The Haunted Mansion is filled with mysterious and scary details. The main colours used to create the mansion are a mix of grey, brown, green and purple. The roofs being purple add that bit of colour to a fairly dark LEGO Super Mario playset. The big brown doors create an intimidating entrance along with the black spikes dotted around on the roofs and other parts of the scenery to create this scary look and feel. The interior of the Haunted Mansion is fairly lacklustre apart from two obvious functions: an elevating sofa and a bookcase with a key-reveal function. Mario, Luigi and Peach can all sit on the sofa and interact with the interactive tile to create a spooky floating effect. The sofa does actaully levitate using a smartly made playfeature controlled by the builder themselves. The key can be used to open the treasure chest at the front of the mansion. However, Mario, Luigi and Peach will have to fight off four brick built enemies which are included in 71436 King Boo's Haunted Mansion. These are King Boo, a Yellow Baby Yoshi, a Dry Bones and a scared Boo. Our third and final Mario Day reveal is the biggest of them all of 71437 The Bowser Express Train. Just like the other two LEGO Super Mario sets revealed yesterday, 71437 continues with the course-building system which was first introduced back in 2020. Still no LEGO Super Mario Minifigures but the sets do seem to be inheriting more friendly price-per-piece ratios with sets tailored to both the course building system and general display. 71437 The Bowser Express Train is based on the popular 2013 WII U game Super Mario 3D World which features Bowser's Express Train in one of its many 3D platformer games. The LEGO version will retail for $119.99 with 1,392 pieces making it the biggest LEGO Super Mario set releasing on the 1st of August 2024. The brick-built Bowser train measures 68 cm long and even though no tracks are included, can easily operate like any LEGO train. The detailed train includes the main locomotive/engine cart in the shape of Bowser's face, a cute passenger car where two Goomba's can have a romantic meal together, a cannon car and a hand car. All carriages can easily be connected and unconnected and plenty of interactive tiles along the way for LEGO Mario, Luigi and Peach to interact with. Two brick-built train stations are also included: one in the Mushroom Kingdom and the other in the lava lands of Bowser's lair. Both stations are very small but obviously represent their respective locations with their colour schemes and smaller details. A couple of nice printed signs are also included here signifying Peach's Castle and Bowser's Castle. The $120 set isn't complete without a few brick-built LEGO Super Mario characters. A total of six are included in 71437 of a Hammer Bro, Boom Boom making a reappearance, two Goomba's with fun and fancy hat builds and two Para-Biddybuds. When the LEGO Minions theme first launched back in 2020 amidst a global pandemic, one Minion-themed model in particular stood out. This was 75551 Brick-built Minions and their Lair which includes the iconic and massively loved yellow minions in a brick-built LEGO form. Kevin and Stuart were both included in this brick-built form but the former of these could be transformed into the extremely cute and loveable Bob. 75551 Brick-built Minions was probably the most popular LEGO Minions set released back in 2020 and LEGO will be capitalising on that success with the brand new LEGO Despicable Me 4 theme. One of the four sets releasing on the 1st of May 2024 is 75582 Buildable Minions which will retail for $54.99 with a total of 839 pieces. 2020s 75551 ever so slightly had more pieces than 75582 with a total of 876. This indicates that 75582 Buildable Minions will be an ever so slightly smaller build but with plenty of detail to recreate our favourite yellow characters. LEGO may reduce the size of the brick-built Minions to include more than just two, along with more customisable options like LEGO part packs which have been released in the past. 75582 Buildable Minions along with the two, three or even four buildable Minions will hopefully also include a couple of Minifigures. Similar to 75580 and 75581, the 2024 model will most likely include just Minions as Minifigures but, if the set is believed to be a part pack-like model, hopefully, we'll get around three to four wearing different outfits to the classic blue dungarees. 75582 Buildable Minions Set Name - Buildable Minions Set Number - 75582 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 839 Price - $54.99 Release Date - 1st May 2024 75582 Buildable Minions has an extremely friendly price per piece ratio but what do you think? The fourth and final LEGO Despicable Me 4 set we have left to cover is the biggest, and possibly the best, of them all. In particular, this is the previously rumoured set number of 75583 which will be a brick-built recreation of Gru's House. The villain-turned-good guy's house will include a total of 868 pieces retailing for $99.99 making it the most expansive Minions-based LEGO set yet. Gru's House is an iconic location in the Despicable Me 4 world with the building showcasing Gru's dark and evilness. Compared to all the other houses in the neighbourhood which are painted white, Gru's is a mix of black and dark grey with a dead garden out front. He even spreads some of his evilness to his neighbours by making his dog Kyle wee on the green bushes. 75583 Gru's House will likely be similar to another iconic house which appeared in brick-built form early last year of 43217 Up House. Even though this LEGO Disney set retailed for a lot less at only $59.99, Gru's House will still portray some similar characteristics but just at a big, more spacious scale. The difference in the price will most likely be because Gru's house is naturally bigger, particularly from the front-on angle. LEGO may also have listened to fan complaints and included a much more expansive interior, stretching a few studs further back and including a lot more of the iconic rooms from all four Despicable Me films. Hopefully, the lab, the girls' room, the kitchen, the sitting room and much more are included for $99.99. And the set can't be complete without a few Minifigures. For a $100 price tag, we expect around five Minifigures which will hopefully be Gru, Lucy Margo, Edith and Agnes. LEGO's latest new theme is edging ever closer to release and, thanks to Brick Clicker on YouTube, we have further information about the new line of sets. We previously reported that LEGO Despicable Me 4 will be joining the brick-built world of LEGO in 2024 along with other new licenses such as Animal Crossing and Dungeons & Dragons. The Despicable Me 4 line of sets will be a fully fledged theme with four sets and a polybag all releasing on the 1st of May 2024. Amongst these sets is 75580 Banana Car which will retail for $24.99 with 136 pieces included in the 6+ model. As we expected, the cheapest set of the wave is going to be a fairly lacklustre build, heavily influenced by bigger pieces and moulds. These bigger pieces and moulds will be used to create the curvature of a brick-built banana on wheels. The banana car will unsurprisingly be yellow with an open cockpit allowing space for a singular Minion to drive the car. Whether the vehicle contains four or three wheels is unknown, along with other features such as small engine details and stickers and prints along the fruit-shaped car. As we already mentioned, 75580 Banana Car will be controlled by a singular Minion and this Minion is likely to be the only Minifigure included. As Spring gets ever closer so does the international, long-time celebration of Easter Weekend. Once again, brand new LEGO Easter Promotions will be available to celebrate this time of year all over again in 2024. Reports claim that only two LEGO Gift With Purchases will be available for Easter 2024 of 30668 Easter Bunny with Colourful Eggs and 40682 Spring Garden House. 30668 Easter Bunny with Colourful Eggs is the smaller of the two promos, being a $5 polybag of another cute brick-built rabbit. This time it's a white rabbit with long ears and a cute 1x1 dark pink stud as a nose. The rabbit holds a brick-built carrot in his paws which seems fairly detailed even for a small build with only 68 pieces. Three small Easter eggs on a patch of grass are included as well: one is yellow, another red and the final one is blue. However, the main brick-built Easter promotion for 2024 is 40682 Spring Garden House which, unlike 30668, will be entirely exclusive and only available between the 12 and 31st of March 2024. 30668 also lasts for the same timeframe but is available at a much cheaper threshold of $40 compared to 40682 which is $80. The seasonal set itself is a brick-built house which is designed to look very similar to a large brick-built Easter egg. It is coloured in yellow, blue and pink - very seasonal for spring and Easter. The house is open through the centre allowing easy access and play with the interior which doesn't include much apart from a couple of small plants and a fork. The exterior of the Spring Garden House includes a couple more plants along with a short cobbled section and some grass. Here our two brick-built characters can stand of a yellow chick and a white rabbit.
