- A Message To The Bricks Up Community
Dear Bricks Up fans, builders, and loyal followers, This is easily the most unique article we have ever written here at Bricks Up, and undoubtedly one of the most difficult. Many of you will have noticed our lack of content over the past few weeks. During that time, we have been reflecting on the future of Bricks Up and, after much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to step away from the platform. More than five years have passed since we first came up with the idea for Bricks Up, designed our website, and published what would become the first of thousands of articles. What began as a passion project grew into something far bigger than we could ever have imagined, but the time has now come for us to pursue new opportunities and new adventures. As our lives continue to move in different directions, we can no longer dedicate the time and commitment required to maintain the standard of content that Bricks Up has always aimed to deliver. From daily news coverage and rumours to reviews, features, and opinion pieces, quality has always been our priority. Rather than compromise that standard, we believe it is the right time to bring this chapter to a close. While this decision has not been easy, we are incredibly proud of everything we have achieved over the last five years. Bricks Up allowed us to connect with LEGO fans from around the world, share our passion for the hobby, and build a community that we will always be grateful for. Every article read, comment left, social media interaction, and message sent has helped make this journey something truly special. The LEGO community is stronger and more diverse than ever. There are countless talented creators, websites, YouTubers, podcasters, and social media personalities who continue to celebrate and cover everything happening within the LEGO world. We encourage you to support them, engage with their content, and continue sharing your passion for the hobby we all love. Today marks the end of Bricks Up as an active platform. Over time, our website and social media channels will gradually fade into the background. While that is a sad reality for us, we leave knowing that Bricks Up achieved far more than we ever expected when we first started. Although this may be the end of Bricks Up, it is certainly not the end of our love for LEGO. We will continue building, collecting, and following the hobby that brought us all together in the first place. And who knows what the future might hold. Perhaps one day Bricks Up will return in a new form, ready to contribute something different to the LEGO community once again. Until then, and to borrow a quote from our favourite average construction worker, "See you later, alligator." Thank you for everything. The Bricks Up Team
- LEGO Icons 11382 Hubble Space Telescope Rumoured For August 2026
The LEGO Icons theme is once again heading to space this year, as not only are we getting the LEGO Classic Space-inspired 11374 Pinball Machine, but we're getting a brand new NASA-branded model. In particular, this is 11382 Hubble Space Telescope, which is one of two sets for the Icons theme releasing on the 1st of August 2026. The 18+ model includes a total of 1,552 pieces retailing for $139.99 / €129.99 / £119.99. This piece count suggests that the LEGO Group will once again focus on detail and technical accuracy, just like more recent space sets such as 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System and even LEGO Technic's 42182 NASA Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle - LRV. The real Hubble Space Telescope has been orbiting Earth since 1990 and has captured some of the most recognisable images of the universe, including the famous Pillars of Creation. The telescope is such a famous space exploration equipment that it has, in fact, already been recreated in brick-built LEGO form before, as a side build in 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery. 2026's 11382 Hubble Space Telescope will likely consist of a long cylindrical central body covered in metallic silver and dark grey detailing. The telescope's main tube will probably be the dominant feature of the build, with various panels, vents, access hatches and scientific equipment included as smaller, more intricate brick-built details. Dominating the sides of the build should be two massive, rectangular solar array wings that extend horizontally from the middle of the main body on support frames. These panels will likely be constructed using flat plates with unique printing to mimic the solar cells used to harvest energy in orbit. At the very front of the metallic silver tube could sit a large, circular aperture door attached by a sturdy hinge mechanism, allowing it to swing completely open or snap shut. Opening this front hatch could reveal a literal physical representation of the telescope's interior optics, built with layered, reflective dishes that simulate the primary mirror assembly designed to catch deep-space light. The entire complex Hubble Space Telescope replicated in brick-built LEGO will then be placed on the usual 18+ LEGO Icons black stand. Plenty of posability should feature here, along with the previously mentioned solar wing connections and various opening hatches. A printed display and information plaque will also be attached to this display stand, stating some of the most interesting facts for this 2026 NASA LEGO set. 11382 Hubble Space Telescope Set Name - Hubble Space Telescope Set Number - 11382 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,552 Minifigures - 0 Price - $139.99 / €129.99 / £119.99 Release Date - 1st August 2026 11382 Hubble Space Telescope releases on the 1st of August 2026, but what do you think? Will this NASA display model be landing in your collection, and how do you think it compares to previous LEGO Icons space sets like 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below, and check out all our latest LEGO Icons coverage. If you're as excited as we are about the Hubble Space Telescope joining the LEGO Icons line-up, share this post with a fellow space fan and make sure you're following Bricks Up so you're the first to know when the full official reveal drops! - LEGO Ideas 21369 X-Files Rumoured For August 2026
It's been a while since we last had a LEGO Ideas reveal, with the last official presentation for the theme taking place in March with 21367 Tintin Moon Rocket. But thankfully, following the release of 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse, the 18+ theme is expected to release a total of three sets in August - almost doubling the total number of Ideas sets released so far in 2026. The first of these which we're looking at is 21369 X-Files, originally designed by Brent Waller (WetWired), but will be appearing as an official LEGO set on the 1st of August 2026, having won the 90s Throwback Challenge. The 18+ model includes just 1,478 pieces retailing for $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99, making it the largest and easily the most expensive LEGO Ideas set of the year so far. Based on the original submission entitled The X-Files: The Truth Is Out, the model is split into two main sections stacked vertically. At the bottom is a detailed recreation of FBI agent Fox Mulder's basement office. The room is enclosed on three sides and filled with furniture, filing cabinets, desks, shelves, paperwork, computer equipment and investigation materials. The walls are covered with newspaper clippings, photographs and evidence related to paranormal cases. The office has a cluttered appearance, with many small details packed into the space to recreate the look of Mulder's workspace from the television series. The brick-built basement office, built at Minifigure scale, even includes the famous 'I Want To Believe' poster. Above the office is a forest scene built on a raised landscape. The terrain features various trees, rocks and vegetation arranged around a clearing. Emerging from the forest is a large flying saucer with a smooth, rounded shape, recreating an alien abduction in brick-built LEGO form. The UFO is built as if it's literally about to transfer an alien back into its ship while hovering above the trees to create a dramatic centrepiece for the 18+ model. While the build is expected to be substantially smaller, with over 500 pieces less than the original submission, hopefully, the Minifigure lineup is still just as exciting and worthwhile. Initially, a total of seven LEGO Minifigures were featured from across The X-Files universe. These included Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in their signature FBI outfits, along with Assistant Director Walter Skinner, The Jersey Devil, Syndicate Leader, the villain Eugene Tooms and a grey alien figure. 21369 X-Files Set Name - X-Files Set Number - 21369 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,478 Minifigures - TBC Price - $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 Release Date - 1st August 2026 21369 The X-Files releases on the 1st of August 2026, but what do you think? Does the split design with Mulder’s basement office and the UFO forest scene feel like a strong LEGO Ideas display build, or would you have preferred a different moment from the series? How does this compare to other LEGO Ideas licensed TV sets like Tintin Moon Rocket or Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. - First Leaked Images of LEGO Botanicals 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos | August 2026
Following the launch of three brand new LEGO Botanical sets earlier this week, the theme is quite literally growing even more this summer. In particular, a new LEGO leak has surfaced, thanks to retailer Spar.at, giving us our first look at an unexpected Botanicals set of 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos. The latest 18+ model for one of LEGO's most popular themes includes 372 pieces and retails for $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99. 11512 is expected to be released on the 1st of August 2026 alongside at least one more LEGO Botanicals set, 11507 Petite Flower Bouquet. However, the previously leaked 11513 Dark Flowers may also be making its way to store shelves on this date, too, even though this is currently unconfirmed. 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos is a beautifully designed hanging golden pothos houseplant, complete with cascading vines, a decorative hanging pot and several eye catching duel-moulded leaf elements. The base of the build is a round brick-built white pot, filled with plenty of brown LEGO elements replicating mud and sat on a brown wooden frame. Multiple brick-built vines branch out from the plant pot's centre, built using plenty of vine components and LEGO Technic elements to give a natural, organic droop that mimics gravity. The standout element, however, has to be the heart-shaped LEGO leaves attached to the stem of the Golden Pothos. The leaves are dual moulded, creating a soft green to yellow gradient similar to the pink and white gradient seen in 11510 Magnolia Branches. 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos Set Name - Hanging Golden Pothos Set Number - 11512 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 372 Minifigures - 0 Price - $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 Release Date - 1st August 2026 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos releases on the 1st of August 2026, but what do you think? Will you be adding this cascading houseplant to your LEGO Botanicals collection? How does it compare to previous Botanicals sets? - LEGO Architecture 21065 Sagrada Família Officially Revealed | November 2026
The record has been broken as the brand new largest LEGO set by piece count has been officially revealed today. Taking the crown from 2021's 31203 World Map, 21065 Sagrada Família has been presented, honouring 100 years since the death of the Catalan architect and designer Antoni Gaudí. The third of four sets from the LEGO Architecture theme in 2026 will be released on the 1st of November 2026, delayed from its original July release date. The 18+ model includes an incredible 12,060 pieces, around 400 pieces more than the previously mentioned LEGO Art World Map. The LEGO Sagrada Família also releases for a substantially higher price than the art decor model, with a recommended retail price of $799.99 / €749.99 / £649.99. The build of LEGO Architecture 21065 Sagrada Família is a micro-scale recreation of Barcelona's famous basilica - an iconic religious landmark known around the world. The 18+ model is built in the usual Architecture micro-scale, allowing many of the basilica's defining architectural features to be recreated in brick-built LEGO form. The structure is primarily built using tan, sand, light grey and white elements, closely reflecting the colour of the stone used throughout the real building. At the front of the model is the highly detailed Nativity Façade, one of the most recognisable sections of the basilica. The façade is covered with decorative architectural elements, including columns, arches, towers and intricate sculptural details. Above the façade, several slender spires rise high above the rest of the LEGO building, drawing attention to the cathedral's iconic silhouette. Moving around the exterior, the model showcases the immense scale and complexity of the basilica's architecture. The walls are constructed using a combination of textured surfaces, angled sections and decorative details that help replicate the appearance of carved stone. Large windows are positioned throughout the building, while transparent coloured elements represent the famous stained-glass windows that fill the real cathedral with vibrant light. One of the most striking features of the model is its collection of towering spires. Multiple spires extend from different areas of the structure, each carefully shaped to resemble the tapering towers of the real Sagrada Família. Their varying brick-built heights create a dramatic skyline that dominates the completed November 2026 model, which altogether measures over 24 inches (62 cm) high, 18.5 inches (47 cm) wide and 15 inches (39 cm) deep. The model also incorporates elements of the Passion and Glory façades, ensuring that all major aspects of the landmark are represented. Beneath the cathedral itself sits a detailed display base that represents the surrounding streets and grounds. Trees, pathways and landscaping elements provide context for the structure and help convey its position within the city of Barcelona. 21065 Sagrada Família Set Name - Sagrada Família Set Number - 21065 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 12,060 Minifigures - 0 Price - $799.99 / €749.99 / £649.99 - Shop Now at LEGO Release Date - 1st November 2026 21065 Sagrada Família releases on the 1st of November 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO Editions Oscar Piastri & Lando Norris Formula 1 Helmets Officially Revealed | June 2026
Formula 1 returns this weekend with an action-packed month ahead as the global sport starts its European tour. And what better place to start than Monaco, an iconic street circuit known for its history and twisty turns, which is also the place of our latest LEGO Formula 1 official presentation. In particular, the LEGO Group have revealed a further two brick-built F1 helmets to add to the previous Ferrari helmets of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc released last month. This time, however, 43017 and 43023 are based on the reigning constructors' champions, McLaren's driver lineup of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. The LEGO helmets also celebrate the team's 1000th Grand Prix this weekend with exclusive designs. 43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet The latest LEGO Editions F1 helmet line is heading down under with 43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet. Rather than Piastri's colourful mix of red, black, yellow and light blue, the 14+ model opts for a special two-part design which will be exclusively worn for McLaren's 1000th race at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. The two-part design features various shades of blue with clean lines and panels on one side and the iconic McLaren papaya colouring on the other side. We can find McLaren logos and sponsors dotted throughout the brick-built model, along with Oscar's OP logo. The whole helmet is then attached to a classic black stand with space to display an exclusive, casual Oscar Piastri LEGO Minifigure. Set Name - McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet Set Number - 43017 Age Range - 14+ Piece Count - 793 Minifigures - 1 (Oscar Piastri) Price - $89.99 / €89.99 / £79.99 - Shop Now at LEGO Release Date - 3rd June 2026 43023 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet And then we have the reigning world champion with the launch of 43023 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet on the 1st of June 2026. Just like his teammates, Norris' LEGO helmet is also based on McLaren's current 100th grand prix celebrations with another two-part design. The first half is again iconic McLaren Papaya, while the second replicates Lando's signature glitch/blob pattern with fluorescent yellow colouring. Once again, this 793-piece helmet (the exact same as 43017) is attached to a simple black display stand. Lando Norris is included as an exclusive LEGO Minifigure on this stand in a black casual outfit with white shoes. The figure even utilises a printed black and grey torso with Lando's iconic LN logo while standing next to a printed plaque featuring the British driver's signature, McLaren team logo and his new 2026 number 1. Set Name - McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet Set Number - 43023 Age Range - 14+ Piece Count - 793 Minifigures - 1 (Lando Norris) Price - $89.99 / €89.99 / £79.99 - Shop Now at LEGO Release Date - 3rd June 2026 43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet and 43023 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet release on the 3rd of June 2026, but what do you think of this McLaren-focused LEGO Editions drop? Do the two-part designs and 1000th Grand Prix theme make these stronger than previous Ferrari F1 helmets, or do you see them as more of the same concept repeated again? Share your opinion and compare them with other LEGO Formula 1 display sets in the comments. If you follow LEGO Formula 1 or McLaren racing, these are two of the standout display sets of the summer. - LEGO Technic 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Rumoured For July 2026
Following the official reveal of 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car just a few days ago, we have official images of nearly every LEGO Technic set for 2026, bar two builds. And one of these sets is the next flagship 1:8 supercar set in the theme's ever-expanding range of expertly designed brick-built vehicles. In particular, this is 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear, which continues the LEGO Group's tradition of releasing a LEGO Technic supercar every other year. The last vehicle as part of the Ultimate Car Concept was 42172 McLaren P1 with its striking orange livery produced from a total of 3,893 pieces. While 2026 may not have such a vibrant colour scheme, the LEGO Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear is the biggest Technic supercar build yet, with a total of 4,104 pieces retailing for $449.99 / €449.99 / £399.99. 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear brings the Koenigsegg manufacturer to the prestigious 1:8 scale Technic supercar lineup for the first time with the Sadair Spear. The real-world Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear debuted in 2025 as an ultra-exclusive, track-focused evolution of the Jesko. Limited to just 30 examples worldwide, the vehicle is one of the most extreme road-legal hypercars ever produced, making it a fitting choice for LEGO Technic's Ultimate Car Collection. The build itself is predominantly black/dark brown, using a mix of smooth curved Technic panels and flexible axles for the car's aggressive aerodynamic design. A metallic gold/bronze colour scheme is used for highlights. This includes twin racing stripes running down the centre of the hood and over the roof, front winglets, side trim elements, and the massive brick-built rear wing. The interior cockpit is visible in the build like previous LEGO Technic supercar models, utilising an orange-brown colour scheme for its seats and interior panelling. A heavily wraparound windshield fram encloses this small interior cockpit section, aiming to mimic the distinct curved glass of an actual hypercar. The roofline is flat and low, carrying the previously mentioned gold stripes toward the engine bay, rear and high-mounted spoiler. Based on LEGO Technic's previous 1:8-scale Ultimate Car Collection models, 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear will include several functional elements. The 18+ model will likely feature working steering, an advanced transmission system with multiple gears, a detailed replica engine with moving pistons, and independently functioning suspension. Several opening features will allow even further access to the cockpit and inner workings of the stunning Sadair's Spear. 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Set Name - Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Set Number - 42232 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 4,104 Minifigures - 0 Price - $449.99 / €449.99 / £399.99 Release Date - 1st July 2026 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear releases on the 1st of July 2026, but what do you think? With 4,104 pieces and a striking black and gold design, will this be the ultimate LEGO Technic display piece for your collection? How does it compare to 42172 McLaren P1 as the largest 1:8-scale Technic supercar yet? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below, and check out all our latest LEGO Technic coverage. - LEGO Officially Teases LEGO Editions McLaren Formula 1 Helmets For 2026
The LEGO Group has officially teased the next additions to the growing LEGO Editions Formula 1 helmet collection, with McLaren stars Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris set to receive their own brick-built recreations this June. Following the recent Ferrari releases based on Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton last month, the spotlight now shifts to the reigning McLaren duo this summer. Shared across LEGO's official social media channels, the teaser heavily hints towards two papaya coloured McLaren themed sets featuring references to both drivers, all but confirming long-standing rumours surrounding 43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet and 43023 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet. The teaser itself is suitably mysterious, showing two sealed LEGO-themed crates plastered with McLaren-inspired markings, racing labels and driver references. Eagle-eyed Formula 1 fans will quickly spot the use of "LN4" ("LN1" for 2026) and "OP81", directly pointing towards Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while McLaren's own response across social media only added more fuel to speculation surrounding the upcoming reveal. Beyond simply expanding the LEGO Editions Formula 1 lineup, these two helmets appear to carry a much bigger story for McLaren fans. Rather than recreating the drivers' standard 2026 season helmets, both builds are believed to celebrate McLaren's landmark 1000th Formula 1 Grand Prix appearance, one of the most significant milestones in the team's long and successful history. The designs themselves are expected to draw inspiration from McLaren's special anniversary helmet liveries, blending the team's unmistakable papaya orange branding with visual nods to each driver's personal identity. Oscar Piastri's version reportedly combines McLaren papaya with contrasting blue tones and clean graphic panels, while Lando Norris' build is thought to incorporate his signature fluorescent yellow and glitch-style detailing. 43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet Set Name - McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet Set Number - 43017 Age Range - 14+ Piece Count - 793 Minifigures - 1 (Oscar Piastri) Price - $89.99 / €89.99 / £79.99 Release Date - 2026 43023 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet Set Name - McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet Set Number - 43023 Age Range - 14+ Piece Count - 793 Minifigures - 1 (Lando Norris) Price - $89.99 / €89.99 / £79.99 Release Date - 2026 Following this social media tease, 43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet and 43023 Lando Norris Helmet are expected to launch soon, but what do you think of this LEGO Editions Formula 1 expansion? Do these McLaren tribute builds feel like a strong follow-up to the recent Ferrari helmets, or should LEGO have focused on different teams or drivers instead? Share your thoughts and compare them with previous LEGO F1 display sets in the comments. If you follow LEGO Formula 1 sets or McLaren racing updates, this is one of the most anticipated releases of the summer. Share this article with fellow F1 fans and make sure you are following Bricks Up for full coverage across our website, Instagram, LinkedIn, and via Google News so you never miss an official reveal.

- LEGO Pokémon 40887 Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night GWP Officially Revealed | August 2026
Following the official presentation of all twelve LEGO Pokémon SMART Play August 2026 sets, we now have official images of the third-ever Gift With Purchase for the gaming theme. While it's another highly sought-after Pokémon promotional set, 40887 Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night also becomes the first LEGO SMART Play GWP. The 7+ model includes a total of 185 pieces and is reportedly available now with any LEGO Pokémon pre-orders over $130 / €130 / £110. The exclusive Gift With Purchase will likely once again return once all twelve sets are released on the 1st of August 2026. However, these exact dates and thresholds are still to be officially confirmed by the LEGO Group. The build itself recreates another brick-built, play-friendly Pokémon with space to incorporate the 2x4 LEGO SMART Brick. This time, we get Ditto as Squirtle! While Squirtle is already included in 72156 Trainer's Buggy Adventure with Squirtle, this GWP recreates the character as a brick-built Ditto pretending to be a Squirtle while watching a movie. Ditto as Squirtle is built primarily out of classic bright blue bricks to replicate Squirtle's shell-less body frame, utilising rounded slopes to give it a soft, organic look. The limbs feature basic articulation joints, making the legs and arms fully posable. Rather than standard Squirtle eyes, however, the face uses an exclusive printed brick depicting Ditto's signature black dot eyes and simple line smile, capturing the look of a transformation mid-state. The second main build of 40887 Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night is a retro-style brick-built TV. The screen mechanism allows builders to physically slide tiles out to "change channels" by swapping the displayed graphic on the screen. The TV sits on a small stand that includes functioning cabinet doors. These open up to reveal designated storage slots for a printed remote control and a printed cassette/disc representing the movie. 40887 Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night Set Name - Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night Set Number - 40887 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 185 Minifigures - 0 SMART Play Accessories - 1x SMART Tag Availability - Free with LEGO Pokémon purchases over $130 / €130 / £110 - Shop Now at LEGO Promo Dates - Current pre-orders + TBC August 2026 40887 Ditto as Squirtle: Movie Night is currently expected to be available as a LEGO Pokémon GWP during August 2026 and current pre-orders, but what do you think? Does this SMART Play promotional set stand out as a creative use of Ditto transformations, or is it a weaker GWP compared to previous LEGO Pokémon promos? Share your thoughts and compare it with other Pokémon gift-with-purchase sets in the comments. If you are planning to pick up any of the new LEGO Pokémon sets this summer, this GWP could be a key bonus to watch for. - LEGO Pokémon 72167 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle Rumoured For August 2026
Just a few days ago, we covered both the rumoured 18+ additions to the LEGO Pokémon line and the theme becoming just the second LEGO license to embrace LEGO SMART Play after eight LEGO Star Wars SMART Play sets were released in March. Following on from these rumours, we now have confirmation via an unofficial leak that a fifth LEGO Pokémon SMART Play set is coming this summer, alongside 72157 Charmander and Geodude's Cavern Clash, 72159 Jigglypuff Concert, 72164 Pikachu's Training House, and 72166 Cubone and Gengar's Spooky Showdown. All five will release on the 1st of August 2026, expanding the Pokémon license to more play-friendly, interactive models aimed at a younger audience. This set, in particular, is 72167 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle. The 8+ model includes a total of 751 pieces and functions as an All-In-One SMART Play set, just like three of the previously mentioned LEGO Star Wars SMART PLAY sets. 72167 includes four SMART Tags, two of 2x4 LEGO SMART Bricks, and a yellow SMART Charger, allowing the technology-driven bricks to recharge for action-packed Pokémon play. Away from all the costly technology, the over 700 bricks focus on two new additions to the LEGO Pokémon theme: Charizard and Jolteon. Charizard may have already appeared in February's 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, but the version in 72167 is much smaller and more accessible. With that said, however, the iconic Fire-type Pokémon is still a decent size and is only slightly bigger than the brick-built LEGO version of Jolteon. Charizard is primarily bright orange with turquoise colouring on the inner surfaces of its wings and a small yellow flame accent on the tip of its tail. It's tails and wings have plenty of posability along with the character's legs, arms and head, which features unique printing for the creature's eyes. Jolteon, meanwhile, is predominantly bright yellow with white accents around its neck and rear spikes. The electric-type Eeveelution also uses a flat, printed piece to depict its battle-ready face. Just like Charizard, Jolteon has movement in its legs, feet, rear spikes of fur and ears. A SMART Brick is hidden behind its patch of white fur on its belly, again in a similar positioning to its fellow brick-built Pokémon in 72167, Charizard. Alongside the two brick-built LEGO Pokémon, the 8+ model includes a small battle-like target base featuring two printed round 2x2 targets that can easily be flipped up and down. These look to be attached to a small rocky and lava terrain, which also includes one of the four SMART Tags to interact with the two SMART Bricks included in 72167 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle. A tiny brick-built Poké is the final side build of the 2026 set. 72167 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle Set Name - Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle Set Number - 72167 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 751 Minifigures - 0 SMART Play Accessories - 1x SMART Charger, 4x SMART Tags, 2x SMART Bricks Price - $TBC / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st August 2026 72167 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle releases on the 1st of August 2026, but what do you think? With 751 pieces and a full LEGO SMART Play setup, will this be the set that brings younger fans into the LEGO Pokémon line? How does it compare to the larger 18+ models already available? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. - LEGO Technic 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car Officially Revealed | July 2026
The Formula 1 circus is heading to Monaco this weekend, for the Jewel in the F1 crown, but in exactly a months time, the global sport will be expanding its partnership with our favourite toy manufacturer even further. In particular, the LEGO Group has officially revealed 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car - our third-ever LEGO set based on the ever-present Aston Martin Formula 1 team. Based on Aston Martin's real-world 2025 Formula 1 challenger, the AMR25 has now been recreated in LEGO Technic form across 1,547 pieces. Launching on the 1st of July 2026, the new 18+ set will retail for $229.99 / €229.99 / £199.99 and delivers another premium 1:8 scale Formula 1 build following March's Constructors World Champion release of 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car. Built to the same display scale used across recent LEGO Technic Formula 1 models from McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull, the Aston Martin Aramco AMR25 combines authentic styling with a strong focus on engineering functions. The sleek bodywork recreates Aston Martin's signature British racing green livery using a complex mix of LEGO Technic elements, accented with bright lime green detailing and sponsor graphics spread across the front wing, engine cover and sidepods. Beyond the exterior design, 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car packs in the mechanical functionality expected from LEGO Technic's flagship Formula 1 range. The model features working steering, front and rear push rod suspension, a functioning differential and a detailed drivetrain connected to a 2-speed gearbox. Powering the model is a brick-built V6 engine paired with a simulated electric motor, hidden beneath a removable engine cover. LEGO has also incorporated a functioning DRS system, allowing builders to raise the rear spoiler when the higher gear is selected, recreating one of modern Formula 1's most recognisable performance features. 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car Set Name - Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car Set Number - 42240 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,547 Minifigures - 0 Price - $229.99 / €229.99 / £199.99 - Shop Now at LEGO Release Date - 1st July 2026 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car releases on the 1st of July 2026, but what do you think? Will you be picking up the AMR25 to sit alongside the McLaren MCL39 or another LEGO Technic Formula 1 set in your collection? Is Aston Martin's British racing green livery a winner for you, or does another F1 team's colour scheme take the chequered flag? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below, and check out all our latest LEGO Technic coverage. - LEGO Technic 42240 Aston Martin AMR26 F1 Car Rumoured For July 2026
After a hectic weekend of racing at this year's Canadian Grand Prix, a brand new Formula 1-branded set is now expected to be released this summer as part of the LEGO Group's continued partnership with the global sport. In particular, it's a brand new LEGO Technic F1 set and only our third ever LEGO set based on the ever-present Aston Martin team with 42240 Aston Martin AMR26 F1 Car. While March's 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car was based on McLaren's title-winning car last year, 42240 recreates Aston Martin's 2026 challenger as part of this season's brand new regulations. The vehicle has a very unique aerodynamic design, masterminded by Adrian Newey and translated into 1,547 LEGO pieces retailing for $229.99 / €209.99 / £189.99 from the 1st of July 2026. The build itself is in the same 1:8 scale that we've seen with the previously mentioned McLaren team and in past years with Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari. This time, however, it's our first LEGO Technic F1 set based on the 2026 regulations. Rather than DRS, hopefully LEGO are able to integrate active aero with an integrated mechanical lever, for example, switching between high downforce and low drag configurations. The brick-built bodywork for the Formula 1 machinery will be dominated by Aston Martin's signature British racing green and constructed using a broad mixture of LEGO Technic elements to recreate the extreme Aston Martin design and sharply undercut sidepods. Bright lime-green accent lines run along the chassis edges to mimic the real-world livery, broken up by sponsor decals across the whole car, including the front wing, engine cover and side pods. While the regulations for this season may be drastically different, this brick-built interpretation of the AMR26 will still include the usual play features and functionality. For example, the 18+ model will include both pushrod and pullrod suspension elements, a gearbox, a removable engine cover revealing a brick-built V6 engine and a working steering mechanism connected to the LEGO Aston Martin's two front Pirelli tyres. 42240 Aston Martin AMR26 F1 Car Set Name - Aston Martin AMR26 F1 Car Set Number - 42240 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,547 Minifigures - 0 Price - $229.99 / €209.99 / £189.99 Release Date - 1st July 2026 42240 Aston Martin AMR26 F1 Car is rumoured to launch on the 1st of July 2026 as part of the LEGO Technic Formula 1 lineup, but what do you think? Does this 1:8 scale Aston Martin challenger stand out compared to recent McLaren and Ferrari builds, or does it feel too similar to past Technic F1 releases? Share your thoughts and compare it with other LEGO Technic race cars in the comments. If you follow LEGO Technic or Formula 1 sets closely, this is another major summer release worth watching. Share this article with fellow motorsport fans and make sure you are following Bricks Up for full coverage across our website, Instagram, LinkedIn, and via Google News so you never miss a reveal.
- LEGO Marvel 76356 Venom Bust Officially Revealed | July 2026
After years of comic-inspired sets and appearances based on Spider-Man, the LEGO Group is finally turning its attention to Sony's Venom trilogy with the official reveal of 76356 Venom Bust. Launching on the 1st of July 2026, the latest LEGO Marvel display model brings the alien symbiote to life in brick-built form, taking inspiration from the big screen version of the iconic antihero. While some fans may have been hoping for a playset or larger character build, 76356 Venom Bust continues LEGO Marvel's growing collection of premium display busts. Following 2025's 76326 Iron Spider-Man Bust and 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust, the 18+ model sticks to the now-familiar formula, delivering a compact, collector-focused display piece aimed squarely at adult Marvel fans. Built from 413 pieces, 76356 Venom Bust retails for $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99, which is in fact $10 cheaper than those two previous LEGO Marvel busts. Instead, this is more in line with both 75438 Yoda Bust and 75439 Darth Vader Bust, which were released as part of LEGO Star Wars' late April wave. Following the design approach of earlier busts, the model focuses primarily on Venom's head and upper shoulders atop a compact display base. The build captures Venom's unmistakable appearance through an oversized skull shape, broad jawline and sinister grin packed with sharp, elongated teeth. Front and centre is the character's signature bright red tongue, twisting outwards beneath the symbiote's menacing smile. The shoulders remain relatively minimal, acting more as a supporting frame for the head rather than forming a full torso, closely mirroring previous LEGO bust designs. Unsurprisingly, the colour palette leans heavily into black, contrasted by Venom's oversized white eyes and vivid red tongue, recreating the same striking visual identity seen in 2021's 76187 Venom. As with other entries in the line, 76356 Venom Bust is displayed on a simple 18+ stand complete with a printed name tile featuring both "LEGO Marvel" and "Venom". The base also includes space for an exclusive LEGO Minifigure, marking the debut of a LEGO Tom Hardy-inspired Venom variant. The included Minifigure features an all-black design with intricate movie-accurate tendril detailing, organic symbiote vein printing and arm printing to further reflect the character's appearance from Sony's Venom films. Unfortunately, no accessory is included for the figure, which also includes just plain black legs. 76356 Venom Bust Set Name - Venom Bust Set Number - 76356 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 413 Minifigures - 1 (Tom Hardy Venom) Price - $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 - Shop Now at LEGO Release Date - 1st July 2026 76356 Venom Bust releases on the 1st of July 2026, but what do you think? Will you be picking up this collector-focused display piece for your LEGO Marvel shelf? How does the symbiote's brick-built look compare to 76326 Iron Spider-Man Bust and 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. If you're as excited as we are about Venom finally getting his own LEGO display bust, share this post with a fellow Marvel fan! - LEGO Minecraft 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle Officially Revealed | August 2026
As part of Minecraft Live this weekend at TwitchCon 2026, the LEGO Group have unexpectedly revealed a brand new Minecraft set for 2026, and likely the last of another busy year for the gaming theme. In particular, this is 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle, which releases later this summer on the 1st of August 2026 alongside the previously revealed 21582 Chicken Jockey. 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle is a rare LEGO Minecraft set based on one of MOJANG Studios' spin-off Minecraft games. The 8+ model is based on Minecraft Dungeons II, which is scheduled to release in late 2026, over six years after the original Minecraft Dungeons became available to gamers around the world. The LEGO set itself focuses on an entirely brick-built recreation of the Twisted Warden - the primary antagonist and a heavy boss in Minecraft Dungeons 2. Unlike standard Wardens seen in the base game, the LEGO Twisted Warden features articulated spiky limbs and a massive opening jaw right in its torso. This is the main play feature of the 2026 set, allowing builders to make the figure literally swallow LEGO Minifigures whole. The entire chest area splits apart into a giant mouth, complete with brick-built teeth. You can even see right through the open gap to the other side of the body and what will eventually be filled with Minifigure limbs. Talking about Minifigures, a total of four are included in 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle to play with if you're a human, but to eat if you're a formidable LEGO Minecraft foe. These figures are the characters Kellen, Ren, Flores, and Valorie, who are all exclusive to 21591 with unique head and torso printing. These Minecraft Dungeons II characters are equipped with an array of armour, weapons and accessories, including a double axe, a scythe, a cutlass, sickles, and daggers. Finally, A small side build features a classic Minecraft brown treasure chest resting on a small blue plate base. The chest opens up to store LEGO emerald accessory pieces inside. 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle Set Name - The Twisted Warden Battle Set Number - 21591 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 438 Minifigures - 4 (Kellen, Ren, Flores, Valorie) Price - $59.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 - Shop Now at LEGO Release Date - 1st August 2026 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle releases on the 1st of August 2026, but what do you think? Are you a Minecraft Dungeons fan who has been waiting for LEGO to dig into the spin-off games, or does this feel like an unexpected direction for the theme? How does the Twisted Warden compare to other brick-built LEGO Minecraft creatures you've picked up over the years?
