Confirmed Reveal Date for LEGO Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: The Red Dragon's Tale | April 2024

Plenty of rumours, two teasers and an extremely blurry leak later, we finally have a confirmed reveal date for the next LEGO Ideas set. On the 1st of April 2024, 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: The Red Dragon's Tale will become the fourth model releasing for the LEGO Ideas theme in 2024. The latest fan-made set will also become the most expensive model of the year for the theme with 3,745 pieces retailing for $359.99.

In 2022, LEGO and the LEGO Ideas theme announced another collaboration with Hasbro, this time joining forces with its Dungeons & Dragons brand. Master builders could submit their own Dungeons & Dragons-themed brick-built models on the LEGO Ideas platform with one of these designs becoming an actual set.

The contest was announced in October 2022, and it was revealed early last year that Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds emerged as the winner. Since then, the LEGO designers along with BoltBuilds have been hard at working create the latest 18+ licensed set for the LEGO Ideas theme. And now we're just a few days away from seeing their final model which will retail for $360.

In February, LEGO first teased the 18+ model with a short video on their social media platforms with a Gelatinous Cube from the D&D franchise. This was then followed by a similar video but this time with a Mimic. Now, a countdown has begun on the official LEGO website, further creating hype for one of the most anticipated sets of 2024.

According to the countdown, the set will be revealed on the 19th March 2024 at 5 pm GMT or 10 am PT. We've already had a leak of the set showcasing that at least six Minifigures are included in the 18+ 2024 model along with a giant brick-built dragon. Unlike the original project however, the dragon is now red rather than green so it'll be interesting to see what other changes LEGO make to the first of hopefully many D&D brick-built models.
