LEGO Despicable Me 4 75580 Banana Car Rumoured For May 2024

LEGO's latest new theme is edging ever closer to release and, thanks to Brick Clicker on YouTube, we have further information about the new line of sets. We previously reported that LEGO Despicable Me 4 will be joining the brick-built world of LEGO in 2024 along with other new licenses such as Animal Crossing and Dungeons & Dragons.

The Despicable Me 4 line of sets will be a fully fledged theme with four sets and a polybag all releasing on the 1st of May 2024. Amongst these sets is 75580 Banana Car which will retail for $24.99 with 136 pieces included in the 6+ model. As we expected, the cheapest set of the wave is going to be a fairly lacklustre build, heavily influenced by bigger pieces and moulds.

These bigger pieces and moulds will be used to create the curvature of a brick-built banana on wheels. The banana car will unsurprisingly be yellow with an open cockpit allowing space for a singular Minion to drive the car. Whether the vehicle contains four or three wheels is unknown, along with other features such as small engine details and stickers and prints along the fruit-shaped car.

As we already mentioned, 75580 Banana Car will be controlled by a singular Minion and this Minion is likely to be the only Minifigure included. If another Minifigure is to be included, it will likely be another Minion due to the relatively small piece count of only 136 for a high retail price of $25.
