After a fairly busy 2022 for the LEGO Classic theme, the non-licensed theme is set to start off 2023 in a similar way. This is because LEGO has officially revealed the latest LEGO Classic set coming on 1st January of 2023 of 11031 Creative Fun with Monkeys. Another four sets will then follow with a Spring 2023 release of 1st March 2023. These sets coming in March include more expensive ones like 11030 Large Creative Building Set which will retail for $59.99. However, 11031 is a lot cheaper at just $9.99 so only a few builds are included but these are extremely creative. These are all obviously monkey-based but brick built allowing different sizes, colours, faces, eyes and more for each monkey along with many bananas of course. Set Information Set Name - Creative Fun with Monkeys Set Number - 11031 Ages - 5+ Piece Count - 135 Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023

With the Christmas season well underway, it's time to look at the LEGO Christmas sets that are available to purchase right now for this special season. These sets include those explicitly released for Christmas and those sets that are from other themes that are just more festive and wintery than usual. This means this merry list includes the five LEGO Advent Calendars for this year from LEGO City, LEGO Friends, LEGO Marvel, LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Star Wars. All of these have been available for a few months now and hopefully, you've been opening yours each day over the last 24 days. However, the sets will still be available a little bit after Christmas until more LEGO Advent Calendars are released in September 2023. One of the highlights of the past couple of years Christmas has been the LEGO Ideas set of 21330 Home Alone. The set includes almost 4000 pieces along with five Minifigures and many funny and festive scenes from the movie. One of the best features has to be the light brick to help create the scary furnace. Another popular 18+ set is the LEGO Icons Winter Village subtheme which once again released a set in October of this year. 2022s Winter Village set was a little different to the last couple of years with a range of different buildings included making 10308 a Holiday Main Street. An old-fashioned tram is even included with festive decorations and plenty of snow. Other sets include the usual LEGO Creator seasonal sets. These include some of the cutest sets on offer of 40571 Wintertime Polar Bears and 40498 Christmas Penguin. Finally, any Frozen fans will love 43197 The Ice Castle which perfectly replicates the iconic Castle that Elsa makes during the film 10275 Elf Club House 10293 Santa's Visit 10308 Holiday Main Street 21330 Home Alone 40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 40494 Polar Bear & Gift Pack 40498 Christmas Penguin 40499 Santa's Sleigh 40571 Wintertime Polar Bears 41706 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 43197 The Ice Castle 60352 LEGO City Advent Calendar 75340 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar 76404 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar 80109 Lunar New Year Ice Festival

The set reveals keep on coming for 2023 as a brand new LEGO Polybag for January has been officially revealed. This is a brand new LEGO Creator 3in1 Polybag including three unique mini builds. The main build is unsurprisingly the name of the set 30641 Panda Bear. The Panda is a classic black and white brick-built panda eating a stick of bamboo. A small side build of some bamboo growing in a jungle is also included allowing the Panda to never go hungry. The other builds included in the Polybag are a brick-built penguin and a brick-built whale. Both continue with the same colour scheme of white and black but sadly don't include a side build. Like most polybags, 30641 will retail for $3.99 with a total of 83 pieces included. However, with a new year fast approaching, LEGO seems to be going all out on promotions to kick off the year as the Panda Bear may also be appearing as a promotion in LEGO Stores during January. However, this promotional information isn't confirmed and could easily change. Set Information Set Name - Panda Bear Set Number - 30641 Ages - 6+ Piece Count - 83 Price - $3.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023

After an action-packed 2022 for the LEGO Ideas theme, 2023 is set to carry on that trend as Promobricks.de have revealed another three sets are coming for the theme. All of these three will release in the first six months of next year indicating that more are likely to come after June and all the way until December. This means 2023 will most likely follow a similar pattern to 2022 with many sets spread throughout the year. The first of these LEGO Ideas sets for next year will be 21338 A-Frame Cabin. The set will retail at $179.99 making it a nice price point for a beautifully designed set. 21339 BTS Dynamite will then soon follow in Marach 2023 as both these sets were accepted as proper sets in the same review. That $100 set will then be followed by a much cheaper set of 21340 Tales of the Space Age. The space themed set was one of the most recent sets to get accepted but due to its small size and niche idea LEGO are unlikely to change much about the set. 21340 will probably be the cheapest LEGO Ideas set of the year retailing at $49.99 with 688 pieces. 21338 A-Frame Cabin Set Name - A-Frame Cabin Set Number - 21338 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2,082 Price - $179.99 Release Date - 1st February 2023 21339 BTS Dynamite Set Name - BTS Dynamite Set Number - 21339 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 749 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 21340 Tales of the Space Age Set Name - Tales of the Space Age Set Number - 21340 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 688 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st May 2023

Even though we already had a LEGO Classic Space set as part of LEGO's 90th Anniversary celebrations, the theme is still making a comeback next year too. Thanks to Brick Clicker it's being reported that a brand new LEGO Classic Space promotional set will be coming in the first half of 2023. The Gift With Purchase comes under the set number and name 40581 Blacktron indicating it will definitely be a GWP or LEGO exclusive. The set name also means that the set is most likely a remake of 6894 Invader which released in 1991 with a total of 164 pieces. However, this new set in 2023 is likely to include more pieces and hopefully at least two Minifigures expanding the range of modern Classic Space Minifigures. Set Information Set Name - Blacktron Spaceship Set Number - 40581 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC GWP Release Date - 2023

Continuing our 'every LEGO set rumoured for 2023' series, today we're looking at the popular LEGO Icons theme. The majority of these sets are available directly from LEGO, have an age rating of 18+ and have the simplistic black box design and have recently moved to just being for adults. In total there are seven currently rumoured LEGO Icons sets which include three more sets for the Botanical Collection subtheme. A brick-built Landrover Classic Defender will also be coming for the theme in 2023 as the brick-built car subtheme also continues. This is currently the joint most expensive set rumoured for 2023 but the more exciting and interesting set for the theme has to be 10312 Jazz Club. It's been a few months since Promobricks.de confirmed the return of the LEGO Indiana Jones theme but it's time to look at all the sets rumoured for the theme. As was rumoured before, all these sets will be releasing in 2023 with the first wave coming on 1st April 2023. This consists of the four rumoured sets from before including the mysterious $170 set of 77014. Four more sets will then follow this wave in either June or August 2023. However, these are most likely based on the fifth Indiana Jones which releases on 30th June 2023. These sets could very well include spoilers so might have quite a staggered release. Either way, all sets, if they include an Indiana Jones Minifigure, will get a new varient with his usual shoulder bag and rolled-up whip but with a dual-moulded hat with hair. 77012 Fighter Plane Chase ($39.99) - 387 pieces - 1st April 2023 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb ($49.99) - 600 pieces - 1st April 2023 77014 The Temple of Doom ($79.99) - 801 pieces - 1st April 2023 77015 *LEGO Indiana Jones 4 (18+ set)* ($169.99) - 1st April 2023 77016 *LEGO Indiana Jones 5* - Summer 2023 77017 *LEGO Indiana Jones 5* - Summer 2023 77018 *LEGO Indiana Jones 5* - Summer 2023 77019 *LEGO Indiana Jones 5* - Summer 2023

Two LEGO themes are returning next year in 2023 including J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings franchise. Three sets have been officially revealed for the theme however all three are brick-built characters apart of the LEGO Brickheadz theme. These include popular characters such as Frodo, Gollum and Gandalf. Balrog, the powerful demonic monster, also appears in LEGO form for the first time. Hopefully, he'll also appear in Minifigure form for the first time in the rumoured D2C of 10316 Rivendell. This is a part of the LEGO Icons theme which is slowly expanding its licensed range of sets. This will appear in a couple of months in March 2023 so we can expect a reveal around February 2023. However, it is currently unconfirmed whether the set will be microscale or Minifigure scale for the $500 price point. 10316 Rivendell Set Name - Rivendell Set Number - 10316 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 6,167 Price - $499.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 40630 Frodo & Gollum Set Name - Frodo & Gollum Set Number - 40630 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - 184 Price - $14.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 40631 Gandalf the Gray & Balrog Set Name - Gandalf the Gray & Balrog Set Number - 40631 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - 348 Price - $19.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 40632 Aragorn & Arwen Set Name - Aragorn & Arwen Set Number - 40632 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - 261 Price - $19.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023

Unsurprisingly the LEGO Star Wars theme is set to expand further in 2023 as LEGO have finally officially revealed three brand-new sets. These include the yearly Microfighters with this years being Boba Fett's ship of the Slave I. The set will be based on the recent The Book of Boba Fett series with the re-armoured design of Boba Fett recently used in different sets last year, returning in 2023. Meanwhile, 75345 will be a successor to the highly popular 75280 Clone Troopers of the 501st Legion which retires at the end of this year. The new 501st set is a $19.99 battle pack which includes exclusive four Minifigures. Another exciting set is 75347 TIE Bombers which releases on 1st January 2023 - 20 years after the last one. The new version will appear with three Minifigures of a TIE pilot, Rae Sloane, Darth Vader and a GONK droid. 75344 Boba Fett's Starship Microfighter Set Name - Boba Fett's Starship Microfighter Set Number - 75344 Ages - 6+ Piece Count - 85 Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack Set Name - 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack Set Number - 75345 Ages - 6+ Piece Count - 119 Price - $19.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023 75347 TIE Bombers Set Name - TIE Bombers Set Number - 75344 Ages - 9+ Piece Count - 625 Price - $64.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023

As has become a tradition for the past few years, another LEGO Modular Building will be coming in 2023 as part of the LEGO Icons theme. The set first leaked a couple of days ago but LEGO has finally officially revealed the 18th-ever LEGO Modular Building. The LEGO Icons set comes under the set number 10312 consisting of Jazz Club as the focal point of the set along with a small Pizzeria next to it. As already mentioned, the Jazz Club is the main part of this years Modualr Building with a lovely dark red architecture which blends into a bright blue down the bottom. Like most clubs, a giant Jazz Club sign is out the front along with a program announcement above the front door. There's also an opportunity to look at the lovely posters, buy tickets for the show and watch the musical show with the stage and seats. On the second floor of the Jazz Club is a desk along with an organiser for the building. There isn't much space here due to the staircase leading to the next level. This next level contains a dressing room and practise area allowing the musicians to prepare for the show. There's also some space for the magical and his animals to prepare for there part of the show Meanwhile, the Pizzeria is a much smaller building but blends in nicely with its yellow walls and Italian decorations. There are some seats outside along wi th more indoors where the pizzas are actually made. However, the Pizzeria also houses a tailor on its top floor which is most likely used by those performing at the Jazz Club. A Modular Building isn't complete without a great selection of Minifigures and this year is no different with a total of eight included. These include a a jazz singer, bassist and drummer, a magican, a tailor, a pizza baker, a pizzeria customer and a pizza delivery man with a green scooter. Theres also a small white rabbit and a squirrel. All of this and more make up the fairly large piece count of 2,899. And like every Modular Building, it'll be releasing at the start of the year from 4th January 2023 and will retail for $229.99. A promo will also release a few weeks later of 40586 but this is unlikely to be officially revealed by LEGO anytime soon. Set Information Set Name - Jazz Club Set Number - 10312 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2,899 Price - $229.99 Release Date - 4th January 2023

The LEGO Harry Potter theme was one of the most popular themes in the first half of this year and it's expanding further in 2023. This is because six new LEGO Harry Potter sets have been officially revealed ranging from $35 to $50. All of these sets, unlike the recent reveals, will be releasing on 1st March 2023 with another wave coming in the summer for the theme. Of these six sets are four 'gimmick' sets which are buildable house banners. Each of the four houses has there own set along with three corresponding Minifigures. Just like the books, each banner should be foldable and will thus offer a small scene inside. However, these are $5 more than the books due to recent price increases so will retail for $34.99. The surprising sets of the first wave are another Room of Requirement, this time based on the final film, and a brand new Triwizard Cup set. The set, in particular, is 76420 which is based on the first challenge taking place in the Black Lake. This is only the second time a set based on this scene has appeared in LEGO form. Its build isn't the biggest ever at $44.99 but it does include five Minifigures. 76409 Gryffindor House Banner Set Name - Gryffindor House Banner Set Number - 76409 Ages - 9+ Piece Count - 285 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 76410 Slytherin House Banner Set Name - Slytherin House Banner Set Number - 76410 Ages - 9+ Piece Count - 349 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 76411 Ravenclaw House Banner Set Name - Ravenclaw House Banner Set Number - 76411 Ages - 9+ Piece Count - 305 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 76412 Hufflepuff House Banner Set Name - Hufflepuff House Banner Set Number - 76412 Ages - 9+ Piece Count - 313 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 76413 Hogwarts: Room of Requirement Set Name - Hogwarts: Room of Requirement Set Number - 76413 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 587 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023 76420 Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake Set Name - Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake Set Number - 76420 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 349 Price - $44.99 Release Date - 1st March 2023

After the recent leak of three upcoming January 2023 LEGO Star Wars sets, it's inevitable that some older sets will soon retire. We now have even more information about LEGO's retirement plan for the LEGO Star Wars theme with our information going up to 2024 but as the year goes on we'll very soon have even more information about 2024 and maybe even beyond. This will almost definitely change as more sets are released next year in 2023 and sales for the certain set either increase or decrease. However, we can say that most of the LEGO Star Wars sets that were released in 2020 will definitely have retired at the end of 2024. Any LEGO Star Wars D2C sets like 75309 Republic Gunship and the rumoured 75355 UCS set for 2023, usually last quite a few years and always last longer than the smaller more widely available sets. However, we'd recommend getting any retiring D2Cs as soon as possible as these will quickly increase in price and go for a hefty amount of money in a few years. As a new year approaches so do more LEGO Seasonal sets including the recently revealed 40638 Heart Ornament. The LEGO Creator set seems to be the main LEGO set for Valentine's day in 2023 with the ornament obviously being shaped in a heart and including a few heart-shaped pieces. The $12.99 set even has the ability to be customised by changing the different pieces that are actually on the ornament. This allows many more colours including pinks, reds and greens to be included within the 254-piece set. 40638 will join a range of different sets releasing on January 1st 2023 allowing plenty of time before Valentine's day. Set Information Set Name - Heart Ornament Set Number - 40638 Ages - 9+ Piece Count - 254 Price - $12.99 Release Date - 1st January 2022

The LEGO Icons theme has had its first set reveal of 2023 even though it's in a different form than what we're used to. This is because the set is 40646 Daffodils which is part of the LEGO Botanical Collection subtheme but under a different set numbering. Previously, the set would have had LEGO Creator branding like 40460 Roses and 40461 but LEGO seems to be further trying to target the adult market. Either way, the set is another nice and much cheaper addition to the 18+ subtheme with two yellow and two white flowers included for $12.99. The set will also go nicely with two more LEGO Botanical Collection sets which are set to release a month later on 1st February 2023. These are 10314 Dried Flower Decoration and 10313 Wild Flower Bouquet which will be the usual standard of sets for the theme. Set Information Set Name - Daffodils Set Number - 40646 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 216 Price - $12.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023

The 2023 reveals from LEGO keep on coming with another LEGO Creator set officially revealed today of 40644 Piñata. The set is a fresh new idea of a colourful brick-built Piñata with a cute face and tail. The $10 set has a feature allowing the animal to split into half and release a range of colourful 1x1 studs to replicate sweets. This helps to boost up the piece count which is relatively high at 206 especially compared to other 2023 sets. Set Information Set Name - Piñata Set Number - 40644 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 206 Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2023
