September 2025 LEGO Promotional/GWP Set News: Everything We Know

September signals the start of autumn and another exciting month of LEGO releases. A wide array of new sets arrive across fan-favourite themes, with LEGO Harry Potter leading the charge with its Back to Hogwarts Day celebrations and the release of its latest D2C model 76457 Hogsmeade Village: Collector's Edition. Alongside this 18+ set, a total of three Wizarding World-themed promotional items are available from the 1st of September 2025.

The ninth month of the year marks the release of some of the most exciting, detailed, and Minifigure-packed 18+ models of 2025. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean finally returns to brick-built LEGO form under the LEGO Icons line with the release of 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship. And the latest LEGO Ideas project pays tribute to an iconic children's author and family-friendly film with 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

While the lineup of brand-new sets is extensive, September's promotional offerings are just as packed as previous months, currently featuring five confirmed Gift With Purchase sets. Along with the previously mentioned Harry Potter promotional items, another brick-built gaming console/controller releases with 40769 SEGA Mega Drive Controller alongside 5009609 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass, which is only available with 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship.

The 6+ set has a chest, a statue and a launching device alongside a Harry Potter Minifigure with short legs and a bat.

The highlight of this year's Back to Hogwarts Day celebrations has to be 40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement. The 8+ models 202 pieces are used to create the latest brick-built interpretation of the Room of Requirement - a magical room in Hogwarts Castle that appears only when a person has a specific need for it. 40770 includes green hammocks, a portrait of Ariana Dumbledore, along with a couple of beds and a single LEGO Minifigure of Neville Longbottom.

5009867 Hogsmeade Sign

A real LEGO Harry Potter collector's item of 5009867 Hogsmeade Sign is the third and final Harry Potter GWP on this list. The small metal ornament is only available with purchases of 76457 from the 1st until the 7th of September 2025. The sign includes plenty of hidden details and references to the magical wizarding village of Hogsmeade, including the likes of Honeydukes, the Three Broomsticks and the Hog's Head Inn, which can all be found in Hogsmeade.

40769 SEGA Mega Drive Controller

40769 recreates the iconic three-button SEGA Mega Drive (also known as the Genesis in North America) in brick-built LEGO form. The 260-piece GWP includes the controller's main features such as the D-pad, its three circular buttons (A, B and C) and overall rounded shape. A small red stand is also included, along with interchangeable stickers letting fans choose between a full "SEGA Mega Drive" logo or a simpler "SEGA" branding.

5009609 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass

At the same time as 40769 SEGA Mega Drive Controller is available, 5009609 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass can also be picked up exclusively with purchases of 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship. The 151-piece model is a mini replica of the famous compass belonging to Captain Jack Sparrow. The brick-built compass case features a string lanyard, a decorative latch and a domed top, and opens to reveal a directional dial that can be spun around.
