LEGO Icons 11382 Hubble Space Telescope Rumoured For August 2026

The LEGO Icons theme is once again heading to space this year, as not only are we getting the LEGO Classic Space-inspired 11374 Pinball Machine, but we're getting a brand new NASA-branded model. In particular, this is 11382 Hubble Space Telescope, which is one of two sets for the Icons theme releasing on the 1st of August 2026.

The 18+ model includes a total of 1,552 pieces retailing for $139.99 / €129.99 / £119.99. This piece count suggests that the LEGO Group will once again focus on detail and technical accuracy, just like more recent space sets such as 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System and even LEGO Technic's 42182 NASA Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle - LRV.

The real Hubble Space Telescope has been orbiting Earth since 1990 and has captured some of the most recognisable images of the universe, including the famous Pillars of Creation. The telescope is such a famous space exploration equipment that it has, in fact, already been recreated in brick-built LEGO form before, as a side build in 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery.

2026's 11382 Hubble Space Telescope will likely consist of a long cylindrical central body covered in metallic silver and dark grey detailing. The telescope's main tube will probably be the dominant feature of the build, with various panels, vents, access hatches and scientific equipment included as smaller, more intricate brick-built details.

Dominating the sides of the build should be two massive, rectangular solar array wings that extend horizontally from the middle of the main body on support frames. These panels will likely be constructed using flat plates with unique printing to mimic the solar cells used to harvest energy in orbit.

At the very front of the metallic silver tube could sit a large, circular aperture door attached by a sturdy hinge mechanism, allowing it to swing completely open or snap shut. Opening this front hatch could reveal a literal physical representation of the telescope's interior optics, built with layered, reflective dishes that simulate the primary mirror assembly designed to catch deep-space light.

The entire complex Hubble Space Telescope replicated in brick-built LEGO will then be placed on the usual 18+ LEGO Icons black stand. Plenty of posability should feature here, along with the previously mentioned solar wing connections and various opening hatches. A printed display and information plaque will also be attached to this display stand, stating some of the most interesting facts for this 2026 NASA LEGO set.
