LEGO Ideas 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory Officially Revealed | September 2025

LEGO's ever-popular LEGO Ideas theme continues to deliver unique licensed sets, and this September, the 18+ theme is taking fans deep into one of the most imaginative worlds ever created. In particular, LEGO has officially revealed 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, a colourful brick-built tribute to Roald Dahl’s classic story and its much-loved 1971 film adaptation.

Set 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory will release on the 15th of September 2025, including 2,025 pieces retailing for $219.99 / €219.99 / £199.99. The original project by 2PPL was only confirmed as an official set last summer, but the LEGO Ideas team have been very busy in recent months. The 68th branded LEGO Ideas set, and the seventh of 2025, is the first of hopefully many future LEGO sets paying tribute to the famous children's author.

At the heart of the build is the Chocolate Room, recreated in dazzling LEGO detail. The centrepiece is a flowing chocolate waterfall and river, surrounded by a landscape of candy-themed creations that capture the dreamlike atmosphere of Wonka’s factory. Oversized mushrooms, lollipop-style trees, and sugary terrain all help bring the fantastical scene to life. A colourful brick-built bridge stretches across the chocolate river, giving the LEGO Minifigures the perfect vantage point to admire the view.

The melted chocolate waterfall, just like the original submission, is fully operational with a dial at the back setting the brick-built waterfall into motion. There's also a secret door allowing access to Willy Wonka's office alongside the Oompa Loompas' work area. The exclusive Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Minifigures included in 21360 can also take in the colourful, chocolatey scenery by taking the famous Wonkatania boat, which is included as a side build and fits perfectly on the LEGO version of the chocolate river.

Talking about Minifigures, a total of 9 characters are included in the final design - one more than the original submission. These include Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Bucket, Willy Wonka, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teevee, and two Oompa-Loompas. Willy Wonka includes a brand new headpiece, whilst Augustus Gloop includes an alternative chocolate-covered face, and each of the five children includes a Golden Ticket accessory.
