Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Bricks Up

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, master builders!

2025 has absolutely flown by, but it's been an action-packed, exciting and sometimes intriguing year for the LEGO Group, ourselves here at Bricks Up and, more importantly, you guys, the fans.

The past 12 months have seen the LEGO Group continue to grow from strength to strength, releasing a record number of sets and achieving high profitability levels in its most recent financial report. The year has witnessed an incredible amount of sets from Formula 1 models and new licenses such as LEGO Bluey and LEGO ONE PIECE, to the first $1,000 LEGO build of October's 75419 Death Star.

2026's outlook is just as exciting as the LEGO Group launches its first Pokémon sets, extends its 18+ branded sets with Stranger Things and Project Hail Mary, for example, and introduces its latest gimmick: LEGO Smart Play. The Smart Brick will be the most technologically advanced LEGO brick yet, expanding across a range of themes as LEGO connects play and technology like never before.

But for us here at Bricks Up, 2025 has been even bigger. Since January, we've had a record-breaking number of post views, site visits, shares and every other statistic you can think of available to an award-winning LEGO news website. We've written more articles than ever before, in a greater amount of depth and detail and covering the likes of LEGO DUPLO for the first time to cater to all ages of the LEGO fandom.

Away from the many news articles and hottest rumours, the Bricks Up brand has also witnessed major changes and advances. In the summer, we launched an updated website, creating a more responsive and welcoming site that enabled brick-builders, young and old, to access the latest news in a much more accessible manner.

Our social media channels, such as Instagram, have grown exponentially, and we've been able to partner with numerous LEGO-related organisations, such as Minifigure Maddness and Slab Dream Lab. In 2026, we'll continue to strengthen our community and brand image with more of the latest, in-depth and accurate LEGO news articles whilst working alongside some of the most creative individuals and businesses in the LEGO space.

As the year comes to a close, we not only wanted to reflect on what a year it's been for Bricks Up but also thank you for your continued commitment and interest in the website. We couldn't have had such an enjoyable and successful year without you, so thank you so much, and we look forward to delivering more of the latest LEGO news and building an even stronger community in 2026.

With the festive period well and truly upon us, we will be taking a short break between now and the new year. We expect to be back posting daily articles on the 2nd of January 2026. In the meantime, we can find plenty of images of all of the January 2026 sets alongside our promotional outlook for the first month of the year in a few days.

Once again, thank you for a great 2025 and wishing you all a very merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years!
