LEGO Icons 11389 Project Hail Mary Set Rumoured For March 2026

In just over a week, the LEGO Icons brand will be returning to Hawkins with the release of 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House, but a couple of months later, the 18+ line will introduce a brand new franchise to brick-built LEGO form. In particular, on the 1st of March 2026, coming under the set number 11389, a build based on Project Hail Mary will be coming to shelves.

Project Hail Mary is a sci-fi story by Andy Weir, which is also being adapted into a major motion picture, the same month that 11389 releases. The LEGO set will be a rare example of LEGO Icons dipping into modern sci-literature and contemporary cinema, rather than historic or classic pop culture IPs. 11389 Project Hail Mary Set includes a total of 826 pieces retailing for $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99.

The exact nature and build of the set is currently unknown, but it will most likely be a recreation of the main spacecraft from the story: the Hail Mary itself. The model will likely highlight the ship's distinctive features, such as its streamlined hull, scientific equipment modules and further interior details like a command station or engineering area. Two exclusive LEGO Minifigures are confirmed of the protagonist Ryland Grace and Rocky.
