May 18th looks to be LEGO Space Day as two brand new Space-themed models will be added to the ever-growing list of LEGO Space sets in 2024. Both of these sets of 10341 Artemis One Rocket & Launchpad and 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy were covered here before at Bricks Up but today LEGO have officially unveiled both of the 18+ display models. The last NASA-themed LEGO Icons model released back in 2021 of 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery so it's nice to see this partnership be rekindled with 2024s 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System. The Artemis One Rocket is a part of NASAs most recent trips to the moon which, is unsurprising, called the Artemis Program. The project was successfully tested with an unmanned flight back in November 2022 and will now be appearing in brick-built LEGO form in just a few weeks time. The rocket of the Artemis One mission consists of a heavy launch vehicle and the Orion spacecraft at its top, which is intended to take the astronauts to the moon and back again. These details are replicated in the LEGO version with the main rocket bringing some colour into the 18+ set with plenty of orange and white. The model of the Orion module also include with foldout solar panels, which can be placed inside the rocket or on a separate display stand. Along with the rocket, we also get the launchpad which is extremely detailed and actually takes up most of the 3,601 pieces included in 10341. This accurate replica depicts real launch systems and includes retractable launch tower umbilicals, rocket support and crew bridge, detachable solid-fuel boosters and separating rocket stages. The grey lattice launchpad means the 18+ model measures 70 cm high and 27 cm wide. 10341 includes 3,601 pieces for a retail price of $259.99 making it the biggest LEGO NASA-themed Space set yet. In fact, the LEGO Icons model is ranked as the 60th largest LEGO set to date and is complete with a small printed information plaque and plenty of NASA-themed stickers and details for both the rocketship and the launchpad. 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System Set Name - NASA Artemis Space Launch System Set Number - 10341 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,601 Price - $259.99 Release Date - 18th May 2024 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System launches on the 18th of May 2024 but LEGO Insiders will be able to access the 18+ model from as early as the 15th! So will you be purchasing 10341 in just a few weeks time? Are you happy to see LEGO NASA-themed sets back in 2024? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

31212 becomes the second LEGO Art set of 2024 after 31211 Macaw Parrots released almost four months ago on the 1st of January 2024. However, 31212 moves away from animals and nature and heads to space and intergalactic missions with a brick-built artistic view of the Milky Way Galaxy. Once it releases on the 18th of May 2024 it'll become the biggest LEGO Art set of the year retailing for $199.99 with a total of 3,091 pieces. In recent years, LEGO has moved away from the original LEGO Art sets which included 1,000s of just 1x1 studs on a hangable plate. Instead, we see these 18+ models mix both 1x1 studs with ordinary LEGO pieces like in Januarys 31211 Macaw Parrots and 2023s 31208 Hokusai – The Great Wave. Even with 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy having such a high piece count of 3,091 the 18+ model has also moved away from just 1x1 studs and instead uses a mixture of bricks, plates and studs to create a captivating model of our Milky Way Galaxy in brick-built LEGO form. This makes it similar to last year's 31209 The Amazing Spider-Man which was extremely popular and we're guessing that 31212 will have a high popularity rating too. 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy is set on a beautiful range of trans-purple tiles which fill the 65 cm wide display model. The centre of the set is raised up out of the frame using a range of bricks, plates, slopes, tiles, flower elements, food elements and loads more to create a cool 3D effect. The black frame which runs around the edge of the 18+ display piece can also be easily removed and attached again allowing further customization. From what we can see at least ten different colours are used to create the Milky Way and its most famous points of interest, including Trappist-1, The Pleiades, The Crab Nebula and The Pillars of Creation. The LEGO designers have included plenty of easter eggs too including a 'You are here' sign and a hidden alien to make 31212 well worth that $200 price tag. 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy Set Name - The Milky Way Galaxy Set Number - 31212 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,091 Price - $199.99 Release Date - 18th May 2024 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy releases on the 18th of May 2024 but LEGO Insiders will be able to access the 18+ model from as early as the 15th! So will you be purchasing 31212 in a couple of weeks time? Is this the best LEGO Art set yet? Where do you plan on hanging/displaying the 18+ set? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

The LEGO Despicable Me 4 theme is finally here as the Danish toy company officially presented four new sets for the brand-new licensed theme. Amongst these brand-new child-friendly LEGO models is 75583 which is a brick-built recreation of Gru's House. The villain-turned-good guy's house will include a total of 868 pieces retailing for $99.99 making it the most expansive Minions-based LEGO set yet once it releases on the 1st of May 2024. Gru's House is an iconic location in the Despicable Me 4 world with the building showcasing Gru's dark and evilness. Compared to all the other houses in the neighbourhood which are painted white, Gru's is a mix of black and dark grey with a dead garden out front. He even spreads some of his evilness to his neighbours by making his dog Kyle wee on the green bushes. 75583 Minions and Gru's Family Mansion continues with this dark colour scheme with the exterior of the house being a mix of black, grey and purple. The interior and all its iconic features are a lot more colourful, however, even if they're not in the exact places they should be. Theres the inner workings of Gru's lab, a toilet, a red sofa, a small section of the girls' room and Gru's own share with the scary axes located behind the red furniture. Sadly, for $99.99, the whole model isn't dedicated to Gru's House as it also includes a brick-built brightly coloured treehouse. This includes a zip line which continues the two main sections of this side build: the dining area and the party build. LEGO have obviously included this section for a reason hinting at its inclusion in the upcoming fourth instalment of the Despicable Me franchise. And the set can't be complete without a few Minifigures. For a $100 price tag, a total of nine characters/Minifigures are included. These are the Minions of Tim, Mel and Jerry along with the Gru family themselves of Gru, Lucy, Gru Junior, Margo, Edith and Agnes. All of these are exclusive to 75583 Minions and Gru's Family Mansion once it releases on the 1st of May 2024. 75583 Minions and Gru's Family Mansion Set Name - Minions and Gru's Family Mansion Set Number - 75583 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 868 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st May 2024 75583 Minions and Gru's Family Mansion releases on the 1st of May 2024 as the biggest model of the wave but what do you think? Is this the best set of the upcoming Despicable Me 4 wave? And are you excited to get your hands on these popular characters in LEGO Minifigure form? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

When the LEGO Minions theme first launched back in 2020 amidst a global pandemic, one Minion-themed model in particular stood out. This was 75551 Brick-built Minions and their Lair which includes the iconic and massively loved yellow minions in a brick-built LEGO form. Kevin and Stuart were both included in this brick-built form but the former of these could be transformed into the extremely cute and loveable Bob. 75551 Brick-built Minions was probably the most popular LEGO Minions set released back in 2020 and LEGO will be capitalising on that success with the brand new LEGO Despicable Me 4 theme. One of the four sets releasing on the 1st of May 2024 is 75582 Buildable Minions which will retail for $54.99 with a total of 839 pieces. Unlike 75551 however, 75582 Brick-Built Gru and Minions includes the minion's leader Gru in a brand new brick-built form. He is the tallest and biggest of all the brick-built characters included in 75582, wearing his usual dark outfit with a grey scarf. His arms, hands and even fingers can be moved allowing plenty of poseable positions for the main character of the Despicable Me series. Along with Gru, five smaller brick-built minions are also included. These include Jerry with maracas and fruit hat, secret agent Dave with a head propeller and walkie-talkie, Beedoo Minion with a megaphone, the ukulele-playing Mel and Kevin with his fart gun. All these minions sit on rotating platforms allowing plenty of fun and play with all six of the brick-built characters included in 75582. 75582 Brick-Built Gru and Minions Set Name - Brick-Built Gru and Minions Set Number - 75582 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 839 Price - $54.99 Release Date - 1st May 2024 75582 Brick-Built Gru and Minions releases on the 1st of May 2024 which is just days away but what do you think? Is 75582 Brick-Built Gru and Minions your favourite set of the wave? Which is your favourite brick-built character in 75582? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

2020 saw the disrupted release of the LEGO Minions theme and four years later, the cheeky Minions are appearing once again in brick-built LEGO form. This time they are appearing as part of a brand new LEGO theme for the fourth installment of Despicable Me releasing in July 2024. Four sets are launching for theme on the 1st of May 2024 including 75581 Minions' Music Party Bus. Similar to the already-revealed 75580 Minions and Banana Car, 75581 is entirely Minions based with our favourite yellow creatures partying in a brick-built party bus. A total of 379 pieces are included retailing for a fair price of $39.99. For only almost 400 pieces, unsurprisingly the bus build isn't huge but the blue vehicle still includes many features along with a hectic party taking place inside. The bus has a driver's seat at the front with a hot tub at the rear. Both of these sections can be moved so that the whole bus is opened up allowing access to a dance floor and a DJ section. A ballon, some food and drink and a couple of stickers of partying minions are also included in the bus. And our course a party cant be completed without a couple of Minifigure. 75581 Minions' Music Party Bus includes a total of four different minions for $40. These are Phil, Mel, Dave and Mega Minion Gus who all have a range of exclusive printed pieces. The four minions also include a range of accessories including a flag, another balloon, ice cream, hats and much more party fun. 75581 Minions' Music Party Bus Set Name - Minions' Music Party Bus Set Number - 75581 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 379 Price - $39.99 Release Date - 1st May 2024 75581 Minions' Music Party Bus starts partying from the 1st of May 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 75581 in just over a weeks time? What other sets are you hoping to appear in this brand-new licensed LEGO theme? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

2020 saw the disrupted release of the LEGO Minions theme and four years later, the cheeky Minions are appearing once again in brick-built LEGO form. This time they'll be appearing as part of a brand new LEGO theme for the fourth installment of Despicable Me releasing in July 2024. Four sets are launching for theme on the 1st of May 2024 including 75581 Minions Party Bus. The set name indicates a model dedicated entirely to the Minions, similar to those original LEGO Minions sets back in 2020. This time our favourite yellow creatures will be partying in a brick-built party bus which will include 379 pieces retailing for $39.99. 75581 includes a much more friendly price-per-piece ratio but with only 379 pieces included in total, the bus won't be a huge build. In fact, we expect it to be similar to previous LEGO City buses but with a party atmosphere both on the outside details and the inside. There may be the possibility to open the bus up allowing easy access to the disco ball shining down on the multi-coloured dance floor. And our course a party cant be completed without a couple of Minifigure. 75581 will likely have two Minions as its Minifigure selection, hopefully, exclusive with special party outfits, prints and accessories. Similar to 75580 Banana Car which we discussed in a previous post, 75581 feels spoiler-free, possibly indicating that this first wave of LEGO Despicable Me 4 sets will follow this spoiler-free, generic trend. 75581 Minions Party Bus Set Name - Minions Party Bus Set Number - 75581 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 379 Price - $39.99 Release Date - 1st May 2024 75581 Minions Party Bus starts partying from the 1st of May 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 75581? What do you hope is included in the Party Bus? And how many Minifigures and Minions would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below.

The last large brick-built crane we had appear in LEGO City was all the way back in 2009 but luckily we'll be getting a brand new one in 2024. 7632 Crawler Crane is 15 years old this year and was the last substantially sized crane to appear in the non-licensed theme of LEGO City. But in just a couple of months time on the 1st of June 2024, we'll be getting a new large crane with 60409 Yellow Mobile Construction Crane. The Summer 2024 model will include a total of 1,116 pieces retailing for a total of $109.99 - much bigger than the last LEGO City crane of 60324 Mobile Crane. The completely yellow crane, along with a couple of black features, includes a lot of functions, play features and moving parts. The construction crane itself is fully mobile with it being mounted on a vehicle with a total of 16 wheels. The main features of the extremely mobile yellow crane include a foldable arm, a moveable hook and foldable support arms. All of these features can be put into action with the small portable toilet which is also included in 60409. Along with the crane and the toilet, there are also four Minifigures with three of these being construction workers and the other an architect. 60409 Yellow Mobile Construction Crane Set Name - Yellow Mobile Construction Crane Set Number - 60409 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 1,116 Price - $109.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 60409 Yellow Mobile Construction Crane is the latest LEGO City set to be releasing on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 60409? What other large LEGO City sets are you hoping for in 2024 and beyond? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

After our article this morning covering the LEGO City model 60409 Yellow Mobile Construction Crane, another large construction vehicle is coming on the 1st of June 2024. In particular, this is 60420 Yellow Construction Excavator which, even though it's still a large construction vehicle, is nowhere near as big as 60409 as it only includes 633 pieces retailing for $54.99. The construction excavator is obviously mainly coloured yellow but, just like 60409, a couple of hints of black are also included. The vehicle is mounted on tracks with a rotatable cabin to house the construction Minifigures sat above these grey tracks. The longer stretching arm of the excavator is connected to the rotating cabin with the bucket to actually dig into the ground included at the other end in grey. Along with the main build of the yellow construction excavator, a couple of brick-built accessories are also included. These are two barriers with red construction stickers and some charging bricks. Three Minifigures are also comprised of two construction workers and an architect who looks to be planning to build an ice cream shop. 60420 Yellow Construction Excavator Set Name - Yellow Construction Excavator Set Number - 60420 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 633 Price - $54.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 Another LEGO City set of 60420 Yellow Construction Excavator releases on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 60420 in a couple of weeks time? What other construction sets are you hoping for from the LEGO City theme? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

A LEGO City wave isn't a LEGO City wave without plenty of brick-built vehicles and this will be the case with 60408 Tow Truck with Sports Cars. The June 2024 set includes a total of 998 pieces retailing for $99.99. To be fair to the LEGO City theme, this will be one of only a couple of sets releasing on the 1st of June 2024 that includes a couple of generic brick-built cars as the theme turns its focus to its Jungle subtheme. But turning our attention back to 60408, the tow truck is the main build of the 7+ model which is coloured a lovely blue. The front of the truck has a tilting cab feature using a couple of hinge connections, allowing access to the engine. The blue tow truck is counted as a 'double-decker' vehicle with two thin levels for cars to be sat on and transported around LEGO City. Along with the tow truck, we have three brick-built cars. One of these is a daring muscle car, the other a modern high-tech electric car and the third and final one is another 1970s-style vehicle. A total of four Minifigures are also included for $99.99 with each Minifigure most likely belonging to one of the four vehicles included in 60408. 60408 Tow Truck with Sports Cars Set Name - Tow Truck with Sports Cars Set Number - 60408 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 998 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 60408 Tow Truck with Sports Cars releases in just over a months time on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 60408? What kind of design are you hoping for for the 1970s-style car? What other vehicles do you think will be coming to the LEGO City theme this summer? Currently, LEGO DC fans have only had one set release in 2024 but all that is about to change on the 1st of June 2024. 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City has been the only LEGO DC set of 2024 so far, an amazing display model but for those looking at more affordable sets, $300 is a bit much. Luckily, on the 1st of June 2024, four brand new LEGO DC and Batman models will be hitting shelves. We've already seen a construction figure of Batman and now we'll be seeing a mech based on the dark knight with 76270 Batman Mech. For $14.99, 140 pieces are included to create a mech which is mainly coloured black and dark grey. The mech features a buildable Batarang and stud launcher on the shoulder with a movable two-piece cape and a jetpack. A singular Minifigure of Batman is also included with a fabric cape. Another less exciting and overdone set is 4+ Batcaves and we'll be having another one in 2024 with 76272 Batcave. The model aimed at younger audiences will retail for $34.99 with 184 pieces and three Minifigures included. These are Batman, Batgirl and Joker with the latter of the two also having vehicles included in this set. The small and simple Batcave includes a catapult, a disc shooter and an exploding door as its play features. Luckily our next LEGO DC model is much more exciting and interesting with it being 76273 Bat-Pod. The $64.99 set with 713 pieces is reportedly in the same scale as 2023s 76259 Batman Construction Figure allowing both sets to be combined with a great LEGO DC display piece. There are also reports that a Batman figure is included in the Batpod anyway but time will only tell if these rumours are true. Last but not least we have another set based on Batman: The Animated Series with this unsurprisingly being a brand new Batmobile. The vehicle includes a total of 435 pieces to build it which also includes a display stand with a plaque similar to previous LEGO DC batmobiles. Batman, Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze are the three Minifigures included to make up the $59.99 Summer 2024 model. 76270 Batman Mech Set Name - Batman Mech Set Number - 76270 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 140 Price - $14.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 76272 Batcave Set Name - Batcave Set Number - 76272 Age Range - 4+ Piece Count - 184 Price - $34.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 76273 Bat-Pod Set Name - Bat-Pod Set Number - 76273 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - 713 Price - $64.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile Set Name - Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile Set Number - 76274 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 435 Price - $59.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 Finally, LEGO DC fans will be getting more sets in 2024 as all four of these models release on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? What's your favourite and least favourite set of the Summer wave? Would you like the LEGO DC theme to explore other aspects rather than just Batman? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

Buses have to be one of if not the most common vehicles in any city around the world and so it is no surprise that a new LEGO City bus will be releasing this summer. In particular, this is 60407 Red Double Decker Bus which will retail for $29.99 with a total of 384 pieces. As the name suggests, the main and only build of the set is a red double-decker bus, similar to many of those seen in London in the United Kingdom. However, rather than one of those classic London red buses, this double-decker has an open-top deck allowing tourists to sightsee whilst travelling through LEGO City. The whole deck is open with a few seats for passengers to sit and watch the city go by. The stairs to the lower deck are located at the back of the bus which is more black than red. At the lower deck, there's only one or two sets for passengers. However, there is space for a baby stroller which is included in 60407 as a brand new piece. There's also the driver's seat along with a steering wheel and a couple of other smaller details. Two doors are included, one at the rear and the other at the front along with the top deck being removable allowing plenty of access to the lower deck. A total of five Minifigures are included for $29.99. The first of these is a baby in that new baby stroller piece, the baby's mother, the bus driver and two passengers with one of these including a camera to take pictures of LEGO City. A couple of stickers are also included for the number and destination of the bus and the advertisements along the side of the red vehicle. 60407 Red Double Decker Bus Set Name - Red Double Decker Bus Set Number - 60407 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 384 Price - $29.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 60407 Red Double Decker Bus releases on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 60407 to add to your LEGO City? Would you rather the double-decker bus be more expensive yet fully enclosed? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

LEGO DC is finally here in 2024 and what a way to arrive late to another action-packed year of LEGO. The latest LEGO DC set has just been officially revealed, showcasing another LEGO DC-themed D2C after 2023s 76252 Batcave - Shadow Box. 76252 became the biggest LEGO DC set of all time with 3,981 pieces retailing for $399.99 but all that is about to change with the debut of 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City. The Batman-themed set, once it releases on the 4th of April 2024, will be the biggest LEGO DC set of all time with 4,210 pieces. At a much more reasonable price of $299.99, the 18+ set won't become the most expensive LEGO DC set mainly due to its LEGO Art-like features. 76271 is basically a 3D-style LEGO Art set showcasing the beautiful yet crime-ridden Gotham City at night in brick-built LEGO form. Like a LEGO Art set, the 30-inch (76 cm) long 18+ model can be mounted to the wall. 15 panels can then be removed to reveal hidden features and places inside the crime-ridden Gotham City. These include Wayne Manor, the Batcave, Arkham Asylum, Poison Ivy's greenhouse, Joker's amusement park and whatever mischievous things the Villians of Gotham may be up to. All of this is happening at night so we get a beautiful skyline with a mix of different shades of red behind the tall buildings and towers of Gotham. In the beautiful night sky, there is the slowly rising moon, a few police blimps with their lights shining down on Gotham, a printed bat signal and the batwing. You may even be able to spot a small brick-built version of Jokerland which even includes a Joker-themed Ferris Wheel. Right at the top of the Gotham City backdrop is the word Batman. This is brick-built using a range of panels in white and other pieces in black and can be easily removed and altered if you prefer. There are also little Batwing and Batmobile builds which can be displayed alongside the set along with more buildings which can be swapped out with existing buildings and panels. The $300 set isn't complete without a range of Batman-themed Minifigures. A total of four are included in 76271 of Batman, The Joker, Harley Quinn and Catwoman. All four characters are exclusive to 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City and can be displayed on a brick-built grey roof ledge with gargoyles. Another small but extremely welcomed addition to LEGO DCs biggest set of 2024! 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City Set Name - Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City Set Number - 76271 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 4,210 Price - $299.99 Release Date - 4th April 2024 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City releases on 1st April 2024 for LEGO Insiders and 4th April for everyone else but what do you think? Is this the best LEGO DC D2C set ever? Are any scenes from Gotham missing in 76271? What's your favourite part of the brick-built Skyline? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

The LEGO Speed Champions theme continues with its steady growth in recent years and this is amplified by not one, not two but three waves of sets in 2024. March saw the release of four brand-new models for the theme with three more coming on the 1st of June 2024. Another wave of Summer sets will also be released on the 1st of August 2024 for theme, this time only two sets but does feature a brand new NASCAR vehicle in LEGO form. But returning to the June wave of LEGO Speed Champions models, we have three car manufacturers on display. Our first is Lamborghini with a single pack of 76923 Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT Super Car. The electrified hypercar has a very futuristic look with plenty of jagged edges. It'll be interesting to see how LEGO captures this using only 230 pieces for the Lamborghini which is worth around $3.9 million. 76924 is our first of two double packs in this wave featuring Mercedes AMG GT Roadster 2024 & AMG G63. Together, they retail for $44.99 with a total of 808 pieces. The higher-than-average piece count suggests a side build or some alternative build to do with the two Mercedes vehicles. The Mercedes AMG G63 may also use more pieces than most LEGO cars due to its bigger and boxier shape which still has a modern touch. And our final set releasing on the 1st of June 2024 is our second LEGO Speed Champions F1 set of the year. This time it's Aston Martin's turn with 76925 Aston Martin F1 Safety Car & AMR23 featuring 564 pieces for $44.99. Aston Martin's challenger for the 2023 F1 season is included along with the Aston Martin F1 Safety Car which is used in many of the grand prixs all around the world. Both cars will see the iconic Aston green in LEGO form. 76923 Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT Super Car Set Name - Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT Super Car Set Number - 76923 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 230 Price - $26.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 76924 Mercedes AMG GT Roadster 2024 & AMG G63 Set Name - Mercedes AMG GT Roadster 2024 & AMG G63 Set Number - 76924 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 808 Price - $44.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 76925 Aston Martin F1 Safety Car & AMR23 Set Name - Aston Martin F1 Safety Car & AMR23 Set Number - 76925 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 564 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 All three of these LEGO Speed Champions sets release on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? Which is your favourite of the three sets? Are you happy to be getting a brand new F1 team in LEGO Speed Champions form? What are you hoping for in the August wave for the theme? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

As we continue to rapidly count down the days left of April, we slowly advance to a brand new month of May with a brand new collection of LEGO GWPs. As expected, the month kicks off with this year's Star Wars Day GWP of 40686 Trade Federation Troop Carrier followed by 40687 Alien Space Diner which starts on the 14th of May 2024. But also starting from the 1st of May 2024 is 40689 Firework Celebrations. This year's celebration GWP will be available starting from the 1st of May 2024 and will most likely last between one to two weeks. 40689 Firework Celebrations GWP includes a total of 184 pieces suggesting a threshold around $100 to $120 on any LEGO products both in-store and online. As the name suggests, 40689 will include a small brick-built scene/display of launching fireworks. One firework is being prepared for launch whilst the others already have, displaying some beautiful brick-built effects to replicate real-life firework displays. At the back of the model is a black wall with stickers of colourful fireworks along with some stars shining in the night sky. The whole colourful display is captured by a male Minifigure. He includes an accessory of a camera which he puts to good use by taking photos of his daughter who's celebrating the display with a sparkler in her Minifigure hands. Along with these two Minifigures, there's also a small area near the display with a box of fireworks and a couple of flowers. 40689 Firework Celebrations GWP Set Name - Firework Celebrations GWP Set Number - 40689 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 184 Price - TBC GWP Release Date - 1st May 2024 40689 Firework Celebrations become available as a Gift With Purchase from the 1st of May 2024 but what do you think? After our article published earlier today covering the summer wave of LEGO Friends sets, we now have an image of one of the eleven sets releasing on the 1st of June 2024. In particular, this is 42618 Heartlake City Cafe which will retail for $29.99 with a total of 426 pieces included. Our first image of 42618 can be found in a promotional video showcasing the flagship LEGO Friends set of 42639 Andrea's Modern Mansion. The video includes a section where a brick-built car that's included in 42639 zooms past previous LEGO Friends models. These include 42608 Tiny Accessories Store and 42614 Vintage Fashion Store along with a mysterious third building. This third building is a cafe which, has been seen plenty of times before in the LEGO Friends theme but not as this design. This has led many fans (and us) to suggest that this is our first glimpse at June 2024's 42618 Heartlake City Cafe. Even though it's from a side on view, the leaked cafe looks to be similar in size to what we would expect a $30 set to be that includes just over 400 pieces. Our small first glimpse of the cafe shows a colourful building full of life. The exterior looks to be a mix of lime green, yellow and light blue. A clear door allows customers through into the smaller interior which includes a couple of chairs and tables and a counter filled with cafe treats in LEGO form. A sticker is used for the cafe sign just above the door along with another sticker for the Heartlake City Cafe's logo. 42618 Heartlake City Cafe Set Name - Heartlake City Cafe Set Number - 42618 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 426 Price - $29.99 Release Date - 1st June 2024 This is our first look at the upcoming 42618 Heartlake City Cafe which releases on the 1st of June 2024 but what do you think? Is this a leak of an upcoming LEGO Friends set? If it will you be purchasing it? What else would you like to see in the themes Summer 2024 wave?
