  • LEGO Icons 40729 James Caird Boat GWP Rumoured For 29th November 2024

As October begins to draw to a close our attention turns to November and one of the biggest days of the year for any retailer: Black Friday. As usual, LEGO will be celebrating Black Friday as the start of the Christmas Shopping season with many discounts, double Insiders points and brand new LEGO sets and promotional items. This year's LEGO Black Friday model is the LEGO Icons branded set of 10335 The Endurance Ship. Along with the $260 historical Endurance ship, we'll be getting an 18+ Gift With Purchase of 40729 James Caird Boat. The Icons branded promotional set includes a total of 232 pieces and will be available with purchases of 10335 from the start of Black Friday weekend, the 29th of November 2024. Whilst 10335 recreates Sir Ernest Shackleton's legendary 1914 Antarctic expedition, 40729 depicts the boat that Shackleton and five crew members used to complete a journey of 800 miles from Elephant Island in the South Shetland Islands through the Southern Ocean to South Georgia. A much smaller boat than the original vessel for the mission of the Endurance but one which survived many dangers, including a near capsizing, at sea. The brick-built version of the James Caird looks to be Minifigure scale as reports claim that two Sailor Minifigures will be included. These will likely be generic LEGO Sailors rather than being based on one of the crew members. Either way, they'll be included along with the wooden vessel itself which was a very simple, open boat with limited supplies but a strong reinforced structure that will hopefully be translated into brick-built form. 40729 James Caird Boat Set Name - James Caird Boat Set Number - 40729 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 232 Price - GWP of 10335 The Endurance Ship Release Date - 29th November 2024 40729 James Caird Boat releases alongside 10335 The Endurance Ship on the 29th of November 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing both sets on Black Friday weekend? What other iconic ships and vehicles would you like to see from the LEGO Icons theme? • LEGO Ideas 40698 Books Are My Passion GWP Officially Revealed | 28th October 2024

After yesterday's official reveal of 21353 The Botanical Garden, the LEGO Ideas theme will end 2024 with a total of nine brand new sets on shelves along with a brand new promotional item for the theme. In particular, this is 40698 Books Are My Passion which has been officially revealed today and will be available with the release of the beautiful Botanical Garden from the 28th of October 2024. The 18+ model will include 285 pieces and will be available with any purchases over $130. 40698 Books Are My Passion is the winning project of the Singles' Day competition back in 2023. The original idea by Fr_An is based on the brick builders' love for reading which has shone through perfectly in the final, official brick-built model by LEGO themselves. The basis of the set is a large bookshelf placed on a small black diorama display stand which altogether measures over 12 cm (5 inches) high, 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide and 9 cm (3.5 inches) deep. The bookshelf includes plenty of colourful books, all created using a variety of pieces and building techniques. A black ladder leans against the bookshelf allowing the single generic Minifigure included in the 18+ set to access all the books and the trunks and printed globe sat on top of the furniture. A smart wooden desk, a plant and a comfy armchair are also included in the small peaceful display scene. 40698 Books Are My Passion GWP Set Name - Books Are My Passion Set Number - 40698 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 285 Price - GWP over $130 Release Date - 28th October 2024 40698 Books Are My Passion GWP is available from the 28th of October 2024 but what do you think? • LEGO Ideas 21353 The Botanical Garden Officially Revealed | November 2024

After a leak just last week, LEGO has officially presented another D2C for 2024 as we slowly approach the release of the last few sets of an extremely exciting and successful year for the Danish toy makers. In particular, we have official pictures of the ninth and final LEGO Ideas model of 2024: 21353 The Botanical Garden. The November 2024 set will retail for $329.99 / €329.99 / £289.99 with a total of 3,792 pieces included. It's been less than a year since the Botanical Garden and Twilight: Cullen House were confirmed to be coming as official LEGO sets but the LEGO designers have been extremely busy preparing the brick-built Botanical Garden for a 4th of November 2024 release. Once it releases it'll become the largest LEGO Ideas set of 2024 in terms of piece count, beating Aprils 21348 - Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale. As the name suggests, 21353 is a beautiful recreation of a 19th century Botanical Garden structure in LEGO form, similar to the recent LEGO Friends Botanical Garden set of 41757 Botanical Garden but in a much bigger scale. In fact, 18+ indoor garden stretches across a total of two regular 32×32-stud LEGO baseplates measuring over 22 cm (8.5 inches) high, 51 cm (20 inches) wide and 25 cm (10 inches) deep. The brick-built Botanical Garden building is a fully glazed greenhouse with a neoclassical entrance facade that welcomes visitors inside. There you can find various botanical species in LEGO form including a banana tree, a palm and a Beaucarnea recurvata  in the central area, succulents plants in the left apse, various flowers in the right apse,  Anthurium ,  Strelitzia , Bamboo plants,  Stromanthe thalia ,  Caladium bicolor ,  Begonia Maculata ,  Codiaeum variegatum  e and many more along the garden's perimeter.    Even with this wide range of Minifigure scale botanical plants, the interior is very large with fully accessible open space expanding across these two baseplates. The large roof and the two small roofs on the left and right of the brick-built Botanical Garden can be removed individually to better explore the interior. In addition to this, individual walls can also be removed to provide better access to the different plant-filled rooms. Compared to the original submission by Goannas89, LEGO's official design seems to be slightly shorter, no longer stretching across two floors, but much wider. However, this still allows for a skylight roof and large open glass windows on the first floor which can all be easily removed, as already mentioned, for full playability. There is also a small balcony with spiral stairs for the Minifigures to look at the tallest plants in the garden. The original submission by Goannas89 also included over 3,000 pieces, eight Minifigures, plenty of accessories and a dog. LEGO has not only increased the piece count but also increased the number of Minifigures. A total of 12 Minifigures are included in 21353 The Botanical Garden: four members of staff (the manager, two gardeners and a barista), various visitors both young and old along with a dog, a squirrel, a bunny, a beetle and 4 moulded birds. 21353 The Botanical Garden Set Name - The Botanical Garden Set Number - 21353 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,792 Price - $329.99 / €329.99 / £289.99 Release Date - 4th November 2024 21353 Botanical Garden releases on the 4th of November 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 21353 in just over a weeks time? Are you looking forward to adding an 18+ Botanical Garden to your LEGO City? Do you already own the LEGO Friends Botanical Garden? • LEGO Classic Rumoured January 2025 Sets | 11039, 11041 + 11042

The start of a brand new year will mean the release of many, many LEGO sets including three more from the most classic of LEGO themes - LEGO Classic. It may not be as action packed as LEGO Marvel or LEGO Star Wars or as detailed as LEGO Icons for example but the LEGO Classic theme encourages plenty of creativity for younger brick builders and makes it easy and cheap to get important pieces for our own creations. A total of three LEGO Classic sets will be launching on the 1st of January 2025 with the cheapest of these being 11039 Creative Snack Building Fun. The 4+ model will retail for $9.99 with a total of 150 pieces included which will most likely be larger, and less intricate due to the targeted age range. The name suggests a collection of brick-built food snacks that are likely to be very simple yet colourful. The two other sets are slightly larger: 11041 Creative Dinosaurs includes 450 pieces for $34.99 and 11042 Creative Fun Box includes 680 pieces for $39.99. 11041 is fairly self explanatry as we can expect a collection of different brick built dinosaurs from a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Triceratops to a Velociraptor and a Stegosaurus. Meanwhile, 11042 could be an all manner of different brick-built fun but that's the joy of the LEGO Classic line of sets... 11039 Creative Snack Building Fun Set Name - Creative Snack Building Fun Set Number - 11039 Age Range - 4+ Piece Count - 150 Price - $9.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st January 2025 11041 Creative Dinosaurs Set Name - Creative Dinosaurs Set Number - 11041 Age Range - 5+ Piece Count - 450 Price - $34.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st January 2025 11042 Creative Fun Box Set Name - Creative Fun Box Set Number - 11042 Age Range - 5+ Piece Count - 680 Price - $39.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st January 2025 All three of these LEGO Classic sets launch on the 1st of January 2025 but what do you think? • LEGO Icons 10363 Da Vinci's Flying Machine Rumoured For January 2025

After the release of 31213 Mona Lisa early this month, in 2025 Leonardo da Vinci will be getting another one of his creations in brick-built LEGO form. In particular, it'll be a brand new LEGO Icons set of 10363 Da Vinci's Flying Machine. The 18+ model will retail for $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 with a total of 493 pieces once it releases on the 1st of January 2025 alongside plenty more LEGO Icons sets. Da Vinci was not only a painter, but also a draughtsman, engineer, scientist, theorist, sculptor, and architect. The Italian was a man of many talents and around 1485 he took on the challenge of creating his own Flying Machine. Being inspired by the fight of birds, Da Vinci created many designs for his best machine yet but never resulted in a fully functional model, mainly because it relied on human muscle power to move the wings and generate enough lift. Hundreds of years later and 10363 Da Vinci's Flying Machine will replicate Da Vinci's design for a flying machine in brick-built LEGO form. The 18+ model includes an expertly built-mechanism that enables the wings to move. The wings will most likely be white and could be either a specialised fabric piece or brick-built. Either way, they'll be attached to the thin wooden structure of the flying machine. All of this will then be placed on an 18+ black stand to easily display the Flying Machine. A single Minifigure can also be placed in front of the black stand of an exclusive version of Da Vinci himself. He'll likely also include a simple accessory but we'd love a printed Minifigure version of Mona Lisa. An information plaque may also be included, similar to some of the most iconic vehicles and vessels seen throughout the LEGO Icons theme. 10363 Da Vinci's Flying Machine Set Name - Da Vinci's Flying Machine Set Number - 10363 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 493 Price - $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 10363 Da Vinci's Flying Machine releases on the 1st of January 2025 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 10363 in a few months time? What is your favourite part of the set: the flying mechanism or the LEGO Minifigure of Da Vinci? What other historic figures and inventions would you like to see in brick-built LEGO form? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

  • LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion Officially Revealed | November 2024

After yesterday's leak, LEGO has finally officially revealed the biggest LEGO Marvel set of the year and one of the most anticipated LEGO sets of 2024. After the huge success of 76269 Avengers Tower, this year, LEGO is releasing an 18+ version of the X-Men Mansion, which will be available in just a few weeks on November 4th, 2024. 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion includes a total of 3,093 pieces for a retail price of $329.99 / €329.99 / £289.99. Avid LEGO fans will know that a brand new D2C of the X-Men Mansion has been known about since February 2023 with the infamous survey leak. That original model included 3,122 pieces and the official images show just how busy the LEGO designers have been to make such an incredible play and display model. For those who don't know, the X-Men Mansion - or the Xavier's Insitute - is the school Charles Xavier created to train young mutants and is also the secret base for the X-Men. With that over 3,000 piece count, 76294 will become the biggest X-Men set in LEGO form with the build measuring over 27 cm (10.5 inches) high, 40 cm (16 inches) wide and 25 cm (10 inches) deep. The giant brick-built X-Men Mansion is mainly reddish brown as its main colour scheme with plenty of masonry bricks also included in the buildings architecture. The Mansion is spread across two storeys with a full and extremely detailed interior which sits across a 48x32 stud baseplate - similar to this year's epic modular building of 10326 Natural History Museum. The 18+ model also includes Technic pin holes allowing a modular connection as it expands across two ordinary LEGO baseplates. The Mansion itself is set back a little from the front of the baseplate allowing a small section of the street below and plenty of action poses from our Minifigures. As we already mentioned, the building spans across two floors and continues that reddish brown, masonry architecture mixed in with the brown windows and the iconic white balcony. Above all of this is a smooth dark blue roof and the iconic white dome which Magneto can blow apart. To allow even further access to the extremely detailed and easter egg-packed interior, 76294 X-MEN: X-Mansion can be split into three parts. Each of the three sections can then be split into thirds again allowing access to the two different floors and the play-packed interior. Here we can find Professor X's laboratory including Cerebro, a classroom from the mutant school with a few screens and a bookshelf, Wolverine's bedroom and another bedroom for the students, the library, the lobby and the Danger Room training facility. Here students can train and face different brick-built traps with the room also containing walls and elements that can be reconfigured, removed and replaced. At the front of Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters, there's a gate build along with a side build of a large purple and pink Sentinel. Next to the robot build, we can stand our ten Minifigures which are also included in the $330 build. These are Wolverine with a blue motorbike, a new Gambit, Storm with a new hairpiece, Magneto with a purple cape, Cyclops, a new version of Jean Grey, Iceman, Bishop and Professor Xavier in his iconic brick-built chair, and finally a reused version of Rogue. 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion Set Name - X-Men: The X-Mansion Set Number - 76294 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,093 Price - $329.99 / €329.99 / £289.99 Release Date - 4th November 2024 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion releases on the 4th of November 2024 but what do you think? Avid LEGO fans will know that a brand new D2C of the X-Men Mansion has been known about since February 2023 with the infamous survey leak. • LEGO Icons The Lord Of The Rings: The Shire Rumoured For 2025

Ever since the launch of 10333 The Lord Of The Rings: Barad-Dûr earlier in June, everyone has been wondering whether LEGO will continue with its very recent tradition of releasing a brand new LEGO Icons Lord Of The Rings set each year. This first started with 10316 The Lord Of The Rings: Rivendell and obviously continued with a brick bult version of Sauron's fortress in Mordor. But now, as we continue to learn of more and more rumoured sets for 2025, will we be getting another LEGO Lord Of The Rings D2C? The answer is unsurprisingly yes as both of the previous LEGO Icons LOTR models have gone down extremely well. In fact, just those two sets of 10316 The Lord Of The Rings: Rivendell and 10333 The Lord Of The Rings: Barad-Dûr have been popular enough to outshine many of LEGO's existing themes. The Shire is the idyllic homeland of the Hobbits in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and according to Instagram user TandNBricks will be appearing in brick-built form at some point in 2025. The last LEGO set to tackle part of the Shire was 2012s 79003 An Unexpected Gathering which recreated the iconic underground dwelling of the Hobbits Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, Bag End, out of LEGO bricks. The upcoming LEGO Icons model will most likely focus on Bag End as it is one of, if not the most iconic location in Tolkien's middle-earth world. With a reported price of around $299.99 to $349.99, we can expect an extremely detailed set featuring the iconic round green door, cosy Hobbit interiors like Bilbo’s study and kitchen, lush gardens, and minifigures like Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf. Alternatively, LEGO may focus on the whole of the Shire and the homeland of the Hobbits. Other iconic Hobbiton landmarks beyond Bag End, may be included such as Hobbit-holes, the Party Tree with decorations from Bilbo's birthday, the Green Dragon Inn, bridges, winding paths, and lush landscaping filled with plants and flowers. Minifigures of beloved characters like Sam, Merry, Pippin, and Rosie Cotton will hopefully also make an appearance in what will be another exciting, detailed and Minifigure-packed 18+ model. The Lord Of The Rings: The Shire Set Name - The Lord Of The Rings: The Shire Set Number - TBC Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - TBC Price - $299.99 - $349.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 2025 A LEGO Icons version of the Shire from The Lord Of The Rings will be releasing in 2025 but what do you think? • LEGO Minifigures 71049 CMF Formula 1 Series Rumoured For May 2025

It's already been confirmed that 2025 will be the year of LEGO and Formula 1 as both global brands have entered into a multi-year partnership. The partnership will consist of a range of sets from an even wider range of themes such as LEGO City, Duplo, Icon, Speed Champions, Technic and many more. And new rumours suggest that one of these themes may be LEGO Minifigures... Just this year we saw the LEGO Minifigures theme partake in LEGO's epic year of Space with the release of 71046 Series 26 Space. Exactly a year later on the 1st of May 2025, we'll reportedly see 71049 CMF Formula 1 Series race onto shelves with the official F1 logo and branding. The second LEGO Minifigures series of 2025, after 71048 Series 27 in January, will retail for the usual price of $4.99 / €3.99 / £3.49 in the scanable blind boxes. According to current rumours from Instagram user palnet, 71049 will not consist of full Minifigures and be instead similar to the old LEGO Racers theme from 2002. Each figure will have a buildable F1 car with Minifigure heads and helmets attached. Rumours also indicate that each of the current 10 Formula 1 teams will be represented - resulting in only 10 Minifigures included in the series rather than the usual 12. Whether these rumours actually appear to be true is currently unknown but we can confirm that 71049 is an F1-themed Minifigure series. Licenses for each of the current 20 F1 drivers will likely be hard to come by and therefore LEGO has focused more on small brick-built cars for each team rather than recreating a brick-built form of each driver. 71049 CMF Formula 1 Series Set Name - CMF Formula 1 Series Set Number - 71049 Age Range - 5+ Piece Count - TBC Price - $4.99 / €3.99 / £3.49 Release Date - 1st May 2025 71049 CMF Formula 1 Series releases on the 1st of May 2025 but what do you think? • First Leaked Images of LEGO Ideas 21353 Botanical Garden | November 2024

Only a handful of sets remain for 2024 and we're getting ever closer to the release of one of these LEGO models thanks to a leak from LEGO themselves. Earlier today the official LEGO shop@home gave us our first glimpse of the ninth and final LEGO Ideas model of 2024: 21353 Botanical Garden. The November 2024 set will retail for $329.99 / €329.99 / £279.99 with a total of 3,792 pieces included. It's been less than a year since the Botanical Garden and Twilight: Cullen House were confirmed to be coming as official LEGO sets but the LEGO designers have been extremely busy preparing the brick-built Botanical Garden for a 1st of November 2024 release. Once it releases it'll become the largest LEGO Ideas set of 2024 in terms of piece count, beating Aprils 21348 - Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale. As the name suggests, 21353 is a beautiful recreation of a Botanical Garden in LEGO form, similar to the recent LEGO Friends Botanical Garden set of 41757 Botanical Garden but in a much bigger scale. In fact, the first leaked images of the set show that the 18+ indoor garden stretches across a total of two regular 32×32-stud LEGO baseplates. Even with this wide range of Minifigure scale botanical plants, the interior is very large with fully accessible open space expanding across these two baeplates. Compared to the original submission by Goannas89, LEGO's official design seems to be slightly shorter, no longer stretching across two floors, but much wider. However, this still allows for a skylight roof and large open glass windows on the first floor which can all be easily removed for full playability.  The original submission by Goannas89 also included over 3,000 pieces, eight Minifigures, plenty of accessories and a dog. LEGO has not only increased the piece count but also increased the number of Minifigures. From the leaked image and current rumours, a total of 12 figures will be included along with a moulded dog. The biggest game-changer however will be whether or not this 18+ model is modular compatible which we'll only find out when 21353 is officially revealed very soon... 21353 Botanical Garden Set Name - Botanical Garden Set Number - 21353 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,792 Price - $329.99 / €329.99 / £279.99 Release Date - 1st November 2024 21353 Botanical Garden releases on the 1st of November 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 21353 in just a couple of weeks time? Are you looking forward to adding an 18+ Botanical Garden to your LEGO City? Do you already own the LEGO Friends Botanical Garden? A total of three Botanical sets will launch on the 1st of January 2025 of 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet, 10343 Mini Orchid and 10344 Lucky Bamboo. 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet The largest set of the three releasing next year is another brand new Bouquet of 10342 Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet. This time however the $50 set will focus on several flowers which all have brightly coloured pink blossoms. These types of flowers could include Peonies, Roses, Pink Daises and Tuilips all with a dark green stem and foliage to make a lovely contrast of colours and tones of pink. • LEGO Icons 10359 Spanish Garden Rumoured For January 2025

A new LEGO Icons subtheme is reportedly coming in 2025, building on the success of the already existing LEGO Icons Botanical Collection line of sets. This new subtheme for the LEGO Icons series, reportedly named 'Gardens of the World' according to bricktastic.nl , is inspired by world-famous gardens. Each brick-built garden will be easily recognizable by its unique and distinctive features and climate from the respective country. The new subtheme sounds similar to a previous LEGO Icons model of 2023s 10315 Tranquil Garden which recreates a traditional colourful Japanese garden on a black stand. However, in 2025 to kick off this brand new subtheme we'll be travelling to a completely different continent with 10359 Spanish Garden. The 18+ model includes 1,302 pieces for a $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99 retail price once it is released on the 1st of January 2025. 10359 Spanish Garden will beautifully recreate a peaceful Spanish garden complete with Mediterranean architecture, typical of Español gardens. The focal point of the 18+ set is a fountain, surrounded by brick-built plants, hedges, trees and columns. The detailed stone arches included in 10359, with terracotta roof tiles and green elements such as trees and colourful flowers, give the set an authentic southern feel. The structure is mainly composed of green, white and earthy tones for a very warm feeling colour scheme. Current rumours suggest that no Minifigures will be included in 10359 Spanish Garden but it will be in Minifigure scale. Once again this is very similar to 2023s 10315 Tranquil Garden which includes just over 60 pieces more than 10359. We also expect the 2025 model to be included on some form of black 18+ stand/base - another similarity with the Japanese style build from last year. 10359 Spanish Garden Set Name - Spanish Garden Set Number - 10359 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,302 Price - $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 10359 Spanish Garden releases on the 1st of January 2025 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 10359 in a few months time? Do you like the idea of this brand-new LEGO Icons subtheme? What other gardens from around the world do you want to see in brick-built LEGO form?
