The LEGO Icons theme has been one of the best themes in recent years and a brand new rumour goes above and beyond for the theme. This is because Promobricks.de are reporting that a brand new 18+ LEGO Icons set based on the 2021 film Dune. The second instalment of Dune is set to happen on 2nd November 2023 and LEGO seem to be releasing a set to coincide with this release and hype for the film. In particular, the Dune LEGO set will come under the set number 10327 which is entitled Dune Ornithopter. An ornithopter is a type of helicopter with dragonfly-like wings featured in the movie Dune. Depending on its size, an ornithopter has one to four pairs of wings that move the machine through the air by vibrating or beating quickly. It'll be interesting to see how this mechanism is represented in brick-built LEGO form. However, specific details about the build of the Ornithopter are currently unknown but the licensed set will retail for $164.99 with 1,369 pieces. This is a high price even for a licensed set but 10327 will include four to five exclusive Minifigures. We expect these to be the main characters like Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Chani, Duke Leto Atreides and the villain Baron Wladimir Harkonnen. This may seem like a crazy, out-of-this-world rumour but it is coming from a very reliable Promobricks.de . The German website fully believes in this rumour and so do we especially with the popularity of the first Dune film and the release of the second this November when 10327 will release. But we expect an official reveal just a week of two before this release date at the end of October when LEGO show off the first-ever LEGO Dune set. Set Information Set Name - Dune Ornithopter Set Number - 10327 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 1,369 Price - $164.99 Release Date - 1st November 2023 Featured image + rumoured information: Promobricks.de

The Disney 100 celebrations are anywhere near but done as we have new rumours about another LEGO Disney set releasing in just a couple of month's time. In particular, 43231 'Residence' has been rumoured online based on the upcoming Disney movie named Wish. Wish is a brand new animated musical fantasy film created by Disney to coincide with the celebrations which have continued throughout 2023. The main character is a 17-year-old girl called Asha who senses a darkness that no one else does about the kingdom's ruler, King Magnifico. This eventually leads to her trying to make a plea to the stars and soon after an actual star from the sky named Star answers Asha's wish. Together, Asha and Star must overcome the evils rising in Rosas and fight for a better future and we imagine that these two main characters and their adventure will be represented in LEGO form in 43231. We also expect the evil King Magnifico to be included but all these characters will be minidolls rather than Minifigures. The film releases on the 22nd of November 2023 in America with the set releasing almost two months before on 1st October 2023. Because of this, we expect the set to be spoiler free and include just the main characters and a common scene from this film. This will be created in LEGO from using the 509 pieces included which will retail for $49.99. Set Information Set Name - Residence Set Number - 43231 Ages - 8+ Piece Count - 509 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st October 2023

The festive rumours keep on coming as thanks to Brick Clicker we have our first information about one of the Christmas GWPs coming later this year. In particular, this Gift With Purchase comes under the set number 40603 which is entitled Horse & Cart. Little more information is known about the promotional set but like in previous years it will be available between November and December 2023. 40603 Horse & Cart sounds very similar to a previous festive promotional set of 3300014 from 2012. That set included four Minifigures, a snowy scenery with a bench and a horse with a sleigh. We expect 40603 to include similar builds with the main feature of the set being the horse and cart which may include an extra horse this time along with a bigger cart allowing more space for the festive, winter figures to sit. 2023 may be done for most LEGO themes by the LEGO Ideas theme still has three more sets to release before 2024. This includes 21343 Viking Village which is set to be the sixth LEGO Ideas set of the year after 21342 Insects which releases on 4th September 2023. 21243 only releases a month later on 1st October 2023 with the final LEGO Ideas set releasing on 1st November 2023 of 21344 Orient Express. But back to 21343 Viking Village, the 18+ set seems to be following in the footsteps of 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay by bringing back memories of an old LEGO theme. The set is the winner of the rejected Target collaboration which Viking Village won and has created much hype for the sixth LEGO Ideas set of the year and the possible return of the LEGO Viking theme. Even though such a return for a classic LEGO theme is extremely unlikely, it's a great way for modern and old LEGO fans to come together with modern-day LEGO Vikings. And this will be readily available to most master builders as the set, which includes 2,103 pieces, only retails for $129.99 making it the third cheapest LEGO Ideas set of the year and probably the best value for money once it releases on 1st October 2023. Set Information Set Name - Viking Village Set Number - 21343 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2,103 Price - $129.99 Release Date - 1st October 2023

After our first image earlier today, 75371 Chewbacca has finally been officially revealed showcasing a new style set for the LEGO Star Wars theme. The 18+ set is a giant brick-built version of our favourite Wookie Chewie. A total of 2,319 pieces are included to make the large LEGO Chewbacca which will retail for $199.99. The set releases on 1st September and is already available for pre-order on LEGO shop@home. The LEGO Star Wars D2C of Chewbacca is an entire model of Chewbacca made entirely of LEGO bricks. Unlike the poorly received 76215 Black Panther, it is not a bust and instead includes the whole of Chewie's body from his hairy legs to his cute quite scary-looking brick-built face. This does mean that a lot of reddish-brown and dark-brown pieces are included in different forms. Chewie also comes with his iconic ammunition belt constructed of numerous joints and wrapped around his torso. The crossbow is also included in this brick-built model, which has a detailed sight and the black bullets at the ends. This is the only real striking element of the set with the rest of the build being that brown to make up Chewie's very furry body. All of this brick-built version of Chewbacca sits on a stand similar to 71411 Mighty Bowser from the LEGO Super Mario theme. The stand is an octagonal black base which is five studs high and partially tiled. This makes the set, which includes a single Minifigure of Chewbaac himself, stand at 46 cm tall along with the black base and the nameplate included on this base. Set Information Set Name - Chewbacca Set Number - 75371 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2,319 Price - $199.99 Release Date - 1st September 2023
