Seven LEGO Editions Football Sets Rumoured For May 2026

The brand new for 2026 LEGO Editions theme has recently showcased two entirely brick-built Formula 1 helmets, but along with F1-branded sets, the theme will also be releasing Football related sets. These models, alongside reportedly five LEGO Formula 1 helmets, will be released on the 1st of May 2026 and introduce some of the world's most well-known footballers in brick-built LEGO form.

These include Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior, who will all appear as exclusive LEGO Minifigures. Each comes with new facial prints reflecting their real-world representations, along with torso and leg prints of their respective international teams' kits. Entirely brick-built interpretations of both Messi and Ronaldo also appear in this wave alongside the most expensive LEGO Editions Football set, of a LEGO Art-inspired set dedicated to the Argentine footballer currently playing for Inter Miami.

43011 Lionel Messi Diorama

Our first football-inspired LEGO Editions set launching on the 1st of May 2026 is 43011 Lionel Messi Diorama. Rather than an 18+ diorama, the build is more similar to some of the more play-friendly dioramas seen in the LEGO Marvel theme, for example, explaining the 10+ age rating. An exclusive Lionel Messi Minifigure is included in the Diorama, which reportedly recreates a small brick-built number 10 and Messi's place of birth, Rosario in Argentina.

43012 Cristiano Ronaldo Diorama

From one footballing GOAT to another, 43012 Cristiano Ronaldo Diorama is next retailing for the same price of $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 but with 10 pieces fewer at 490. The 10+ model similarly includes an exclusive LEGO Minifigure of Cristiano Ronaldo, complete with his signature "Siuuu" goal expression. A brick-built 'CR7' features in 43012 alongside a scene that looks to recreate the Portuguese flag.

43013 Kylian Mbappé Diorama

Another prolific striker is next, with the French centre forward Kylian Mbappé getting his very own LEGO diorama under the set number 43013. With the exact same price tag and piece count, the 10+ model recreates an almost identical brick-built number 10 to 43011 Lionel Messi Diorama, but with a diorama scene that looks to be mainly blue, white, grey and red.

43015 Messi 2-in-1 Figure

The LEGO Group have clearly chosen their footballing GOAT as 43015 Messi 2-in-1 Figure is our second of three Lionel Messi-branded sets releasing in this wave. 958 pieces recreate a brick-built version of the Argentinian placed on a small football field diorama in front of another, but much larger brick-built number 10. The figure can be posed in two ways, as hinted at by the 10+ models set name.

43016 Ronaldo 2-in-1 Figure

43016 Ronaldo 2-in-1 Figure follows an almost identical build, but focusing on Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo. The footballer appears as a brick-built LEGO figure in his iconic red and green Portuguese kit, standing in front of a large brick-built seven. Just like Messi, he can be posed in two separate ways: either performing his iconic "Siuuu" goal celebration or performing an overhead kick.

43018 Messi Art

All of these sets may have the new for 2026 LEGO Editions branding, but 43018 Messi Art could easily be classified as a LEGO Art model. Retailing for $179.99 / €179.99 / £159.99, 43018 Messi Art recreates a wall of art of Lionel Messi, with the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner recreated in a relatively flat brick-built form potining towards the sky. A blue sky and a green football field are then recreated in backgrounds, almost like rays of light.

43027 Vinícius Júnior Diorama

Last but not least, the LEGO Editions theme is heading to Brazil on the 1st of May 2026 with 43027 Vinícius Júnior Diorama. Just like the previous three dioramas, 43027 retails for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 but includes the largest number of pieces at 510. An exclusive LEGO Minifigure of Vinícius Júnior is included alongside a brick-built recreation of the word 'Vinni 7' and a football pitch located on the Brazilian coast.
