LEGO Minifigures 71052 CMF Series 29 Rumoured For May 2026

In May 2025, the LEGO Group released a Minifigures series with no actual LEGO Minifigures as part of the company's multi-year partnership with Formula 1. While that partnership continues to grow from strength to strength, the LEGO Minifigures theme has returned to its standard format, featuring 12 unique and exclusive collectable LEGO characters.
Following on from last month's 71051 Animals Series 28, another numbered series awaits us on the 1st of May 2026. In particular, this is the 29th numbered LEGO Minifigures series, releasing under the set number 71052 and retailing for the usual price of $4.99 / €3.99 / £3.49. Series 29 also returns to the classic format with no specific theme and instead focuses on fun and detailed brick-built interpretations of everyday professionals, mythical creatures, historic figures and references to existing and past LEGO themes.
Rumoured Minifigure Lineup
Here’s a breakdown of the twelve rumoured figures said to make up 71052 CMF Series 29:
Football Goalkeeper - Bringing a sporty vibe to the series, the Football Goalkeeper features a brand new LEGO football element along with a detailed and vibrant goalkeeper kit printed on the figure's torso and legs. The Minifigure will match perfectly with the FIFA World Cup-inspired LEGO Editions sets releasing next month.
Marine Biologist - A brand new LEGO Marine Biologist figure will be coming in Series 29, following on from 71027 Series 20's Marine Biologist. The 2026 LEGO Minifigure may be a gender swap of 2020's unlicensed series, but it will include a brand new clownfish element, referencing LEGO Disney's Nemo.
Tuba Player - Music fans will love this addition, as a LEGO Tuba Player is coming in May 2026. The figure introduces a brand-new LEGO tuba piece, replacing the previous element first seen in the LEGO Fabuland theme back in 1984.
Unicorn Elf - The Unicorn Elf is a magical woodland character who comes in a nature-inspired outfit with different shades of green and leaf detailing. She uses the LEGO Marvel Wonder Woman hair and crown piece, but with exclusive printing for the crown, along with a 'dirty blonde' like coloured hair.
Monster Hunter - Armoured with a mysterious new LEGO weapon, the Monster Hunter is one of Series 29's most unique and creative figures. The Monster Hunter looks to reference the individuals and groups throughout history who actually hunted for 'monsters' with a more older aesthetic, along with detailed printing and dark pink hair for the LEGO Minifigure.
Robot T-Rex - Another eye-catching and creative Minifigure is the Robot T-Rex. The figure's torso and legs are covered in intricate mechanical printing, including exposed gears and power cells for the robot like look. The T-Rex themed Minifigure will likely also utilise 71037 Series 24s T-Rex Costumer Fan's head piece, but with more of that metallic and mechanical robot look.
Chocolatier - Clearly inspired by a certain famous sweet maker, Series 29's Chocolatier builds on the popularity of last year's 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The standard non-branded sweet-themed figure will likely feature a brown outfit with gold detailing and a whimsical top hat similar to the LEGO Willy Wonka figure. A brown chocolate dragon sculpture is also included as an accessory, just like the red mini dragon included in 71047 Dungeons & Dragons.
Boba Cup Fan - Continuing the food-costume trend seen across previous LEGO Minifigure series, the Boba Cup Fan literally features a large, cylindrical boba tea cup suit to cover the Minifigure's torso and legs. The headpiece may even include a 'straw' sticking out the top, along with an appropriately themed accessory.
Bionicle Cosplayer - A nostalgic nod to LEGO's action figure legacy, the Bionicle Cosplayer wears armour inspired by classic biomechanical LEGO Bionicle heroes. The figure will be based on the red Bionicle Tahu and include a brand new helmet element to further replicate the brick-built action figure as a standard LEGO Minifigure.
Mysterious Ronin - The Mysterious Ronin is literally a very mysterious figure, with rumours suggesting that this Minifigure is a tribute to Lloyd from the LEGO NINJAGO theme, celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026. The figure's torso and legs are mainly coloured shades of blue with black gloves, black boots and various detailed prints.
Cute Witch - A charming twist on a classic Halloween character, this witch features a detailed dress print and a traditional pointed witch's hat. A small potion bottle and broomstick will likely be included along with face prints that give the LEGO character a cuter and friendlier personality.
Trash Monster - Last but not least, we have another very creative yet stinky character, the Trash Monster. This figure is literally built around a bulky trash-themed suit with a head of slime that slithers down to further shades of green and eventually brown, representing dirt. Various insect and food prints from people's trash can also be found on the figure.
