29th February is a date that only happens every four years and this year it's the date of the official presentation of 2024s exclusive LEGO House. It was just the other day we covered the rumoured exclusive build but today Denmark took the covers off the latest model in front of fans and fan media. 2023 saw the release of the popular 40504 A Minifigure Tribute which included a brick-built LEGO Pirate Minifigure. Previous sets have been based on official LEGO machines or brick-built offices around the world. But 2024s model is another LEGO set based on a range of old, nostalgic models, bringing back those early LEGO building memories. In particular, 2024s LEGO House exclusive set is 40505 Building Systems which includes a total of 1,211 pieces. It will retail for 699 DKK as it will only be sold in Denmark but this is roughly $100 if your US based. As the name suggests, the 10+ model is based on previous LEGO Building Systems including the classic System, Technic elements and LEGO Duplo. Each LEGO Building System has its own microscale model included in 40505 based on a classic LEGO set from many, many years ago. 810 Town Plan set is the first to be included, showcasing how the generic LEGO System has expanded, developed and introduced loads more colours, pieces and techniques of the year. It's an iconic set which was the start of many people's first brick-built LEGO Citys. LEGO Technic isn't stopping anytime soon and continues to grow in popularity but one of the first technical models was 853 Car Chassis. Many technical elements were included to create a range of different cars from offroaders to racers. Plenty of classic LEGO colours of yellow, blue and red were used for the complex inner workings of these cars. And finally, we have our LEGO Duplo model of 2705 Passenger Train which released back in 1983. Another colourful set which introduced the youngest of builders to the wonderful world of LEGO. Two Duplo figures were included in the original set but have sadly missed out on being turned into microscale here in 40505 Building Systems. However, like the other two models, it's very recognizable and shows an iconic piece of LEGO history. But the set is not done just yet. For 1,211 pieces plenty more historic and iconic microscale builds are included around the back of the brick build display stand showcasing the three building systems. These are built into the grey wall and include 19 different models such as The Wooden Duck, 8480 Space Shuttle and 40581 Tahu and Takua. Easter is the next major holiday and LEGO has already shown one of this year's Easter-themed models. In particular, it's the polybag of 30668 Easter Bunny with Colourful Eggs which is reportedly available sometime in March and most likely as a GWP around the Easter period. But that won't be the only Gift With Purchase releasing in March as 40682 will also be joining the lineup. 40682 is entitled Spring Garden House GWP and will be available beginning 12th March 2024 and will most likely last for a two to three-week period covering Good Friday and East Sunday. The exact threshold is unknown but we expect it to be around $70 similar to last year's LEGO Easter GWP of 40587 Easter Basket. The seasonal set itself is a brick-built house which is designed to look very similar to a large brick-built Easter egg. It is coloured in yellow, blue and pink - very seasonal for spring and Easter. Inside the Spring Garden House is a buildable yellow chick with the exterior also including another buildable animal of a white rabbit. And we now have official pictures of the sixth LEGO Animal Crossing set releasing for the themes debut wave on 1st March 2024. This is the first LEGO Animal Crossing Polybag which will come under the set number 30662 with the set name Maple's Pumpkin Garden. From the leaked images so far, it also looks to be the first polybag to be in a paper sachet as LEGO continue to work hard to become more environmentally friendly. As the name suggests we are getting a brand new exclusive Minifigure for the LEGO Animal Crossing theme of Maple. Maple is a bear cub villager so, like all Animal Crossing Minifigures so far, she includes an exclusive printed and moulded head. She then includes a small farm built across two green plates which are very common in this new licensed LEGO theme. On one plate is the small pumpkin garden with a single-grown pumpkin and the classic LEGO white gate. The other plate meanwhile has a ladder leading to a raised bit of land where a cartoon-like tree and flower sit. As February draws to a close and we head into the brand new month of March, we welcome another wave of LEGO Gift With Purchases. The first has already been officially revealed today of 40680 Flower Store GWP which be available to pick up from LEGO stores and LEGO shop@home beginning 1st March 2024. 40680 can be acquired with any LEGO purchase as long as it's over the $200 threshold and before the 10th of March 2024. 2023 saw LEGO introduce the 'Houses of the World' GWPs that were available throughout different points of the year. In 2024 we seem to be getting another similar wave of promotional items, this time brick-built microscale shops. The first of these is 40680 Flower Store GWP which includes a total of 338 pieces to recreate the brick-built Flower Store on a 12x10 black base. As already mentioned, the Flower Store is microscale so isnt suitable for Minifigures but still includes an extraordinary amount of details. Multiple colourful flowers are lined up outside of the store with plenty more included inside along with a display cabinet for the flowers and a till to purchase them. 2024 is another massive year for the LEGO company with a range of brand new partnerships resulting in brand new themes releasing throughout the year. We've already seen the likes of Animal Crossing and Dungeons & Dragons have their first LEGO models revealed, teased and will soon be released. But now we turn our attention to another brand new theme, the return of Minions in brick-built LEGO form... That's right, to mark the release of the fourth Despicable Me film LEGO will be partnering with Illumination Entertainment once again. LEGO surprised a lot of people when they first partnered with Illumination back in 2020. This was to coincide with the release of Minions The Rise of Gru but COVID-19 impacted both the movie and subsequently the range of LEGO models. However, Despicable Me 4 looks extremely unlikely to be delayed whatsoever as the latest animated blockbuster is set to hit cinemas at the beginning of July. LEGO though will be releasing four sets and a polybag based on the film starting on the 1st of May 2024. These sets will remain exclusive to LEGO and SMYTHS until the 1st of June 2024 when a wider, global release will take place. The brand new LEGO Despicable Me 4 theme includes a polybag numbered 30678 and four generic playsets numbered 75580 to 75583. Avid LEGO fans will know these numbers were previously associated with another licensed LEGO theme: LEGO Avatar. However, with the next Avatar film reportedly coming in 2025, LEGO seems to be giving these set numbers to Despicable Me. It's likely that LEGO may crisscross the set numbers between LEGO Despicable Me and LEGO Avatar each year depending on movie releases, popularity, sales, etc. Either way, it has been confirmed that all four set of 75580, 75581, 75582 and 75583 are Despicable Me 4 based LEGO models. Even for a licensed theme, LEGO Despicable Me 4 looks to be on the expensive side. The cheapest of the four playsets is 75580 which includes only 136 pieces for $24.99 indicating a fairly lacklustre build, heavily influenced by bigger pieces and moulds. A more friendly price-per-piece ratio is 75581 which includes 379 pieces for a retail price of $39.99. All four of these sets will be Minifigure based so it'll be interesting to see how LEGO spreads the main characters of Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith and Agnes across these new for 2024 sets. Both 75580 and 75581 are the smaller sets of the wave so two to three Minifigures in each are expected. One of these will most likely be a Minion, but the other two should be one of these previously mentioned characters which will be exclusive. Moving on to the two biggest sets of the wave of 75582 and 75583. Contrary to the other models in this wave, 75582 has an extraordinarily friendly price-per-piece ratio retailing for $54.99 with 839 pieces. This indicates a much more intricate and detailed build, possibly focusing on more of a display piece with fewer Minifigures. And finally, we have 75583: saving the best until last. 75583 is the biggest set of the wave retailing for $99.99 with a total of 868 pieces and will reportedly be the place where the plan to steal the moon was first announced, Gru's House. The supervillain's house is iconically dark and black amongst a friendly neighbourhood of much brighter, white-coloured homes. Even his garden is dark and villainy! 75583 Gru's House will likely be similar to another iconic house which appeared in brick-built form early last year of 43217 Up House. Even though this LEGO Disney set retailed for a lot less at only $59.99, Gru's House will still be very similar. The difference in the price will most likely be because Gru's house is naturally bigger, particularly from the front-on angle. LEGO may also have listened to fan complaints and included a much more expansive interior, stretching a few studs further back and including a lot more of the iconic rooms from all four Despicable Me films. The LEGO Disney theme has had an incredible 2023 as it celebrated 100 years of the Disney franchise with a new Minifigure series and many, many new sets. One of these included a brand new LEGO Disney Pixar set of 43217 Carl's House From UP. The $54.99 set was the first to be based on the UP film and we now expect another LEGO Disney Pixar set to be released next year in 2024. This LEGO Disney Pixar-themed set will come under the set number 43248 which will release on 1st May 2024. Compared to the UP set from April this year, 43248 will retail for $20 less at $34.99 with 394 pieces included. Hopefully, the set will be based on a Pixar film that LEGO has never covered before like Monsters Inc or Ratatouille which have both appeared many times on LEGO Ideas and gained 10,000 supporters. After a leak just yesterday, we finally have official images of one of the many brand new LEGO Star Wars sets releasing on 1st March 2024 for the LEGO theme's 25th Anniversary. In particular, this is the previously rumoured 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV which is one of two sets releasing in March based on the iconic Tantive IV spaceship from Star Wars: A New Hope. 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV is a rare non-18+ set making it much more play-friendly and similar to the popular 75324 Dark Trooper Attack from a few years ago. However, 75387 is slightly bigger including 502 pieces for a fair retail price of $54.99. The brick-built hallway based on the iconic scene from A New Hope measures 22cm high with the possibility of multiple copies of the set being attached to create a full interior of the ship. The hallway is mainly made up of white and lighter-shaded bricks with a couple of smaller details here or there. Features of the $55 set include levers to blast open doors just like Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers did in the actual film. There's also a couple of play features to topple characters as if they've just been blasted by Darth Vader and his stormtroopers. And the fun doesn't stop there as Minifigures of Darth Vader, two Stormtroopers, Captain Antilles, two Rebel Fleet Troopers and a special 25th Anniversary ARC Trooper Fives are included in 75387. LEGO has given us a tease of the next LEGO Ideas set and the start of a brand new partnership with the Danish brand. 2024 will mark the first ever LEGO Dungeons & Dragons set with the fourth LEGO Ideas model of 2024 being 21348 Dungeons & Dragons. The latest fan-made set will become the most expensive model of the year for the LEGO Ideas theme with 3,745 pieces retailing for $359.99. In 2022, LEGO and the LEGO Ideas theme announced another collaboration with Hasbro, this time joining forces with its Dungeons & Dragons brand. Master builders could submit their own Dungeons & Dragons-themed brick-built models on the LEGO Ideas platform with one of these designs becoming an actual set. The contest was announced in October 2022, and it was revealed early last year that Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds emerged as the winner. Since then, the LEGO designers along with BoltBuilds have been hard at work to create the latest 18+ licensed set for the LEGO Ideas theme. And just the other day LEGO gave us our first look at the fan-made model with a short teaser video on social media. The video showed a monster from the world of DnD known as a Gelatinous Cube. This would often be the location to get your first in-game loot from the light blue cube but players must be careful. If not, they will be drawn into the jelly-like interior just like the LEGO Minifigure skeleton shown in the teaser. Along with the LEGO corpse, there are plenty of other objects and sneak peeks at 21348 which will retail for $359.99 with 3,745 pieces. These include coins, keys, a glass, a pan, a sword and, the most interesting of all, a round shield showing the purple beholder. The enemy was included in the original submission and hopefully, this little hint confirms its inclusion in the final model once it releases on 1st April 2024. It may have been a fair few months since the third season of The Mandalorian released but another LEGO set from the show will release in 2024. In particular, this set based on season three of The Mandalorian is 75378 Grogu's Escape which will retail for $29.99. This price tag makes it one of the cheapest LEGO Star Wars sets of 2024 and one of the cheapest Mando season 3 sets so far. The set itself is based on the flashback where Grogu, with the help of the Jedi Kelleran Beq, escape from the Jedi Temple. Both these Minifigures will be included in the $30 set along with a BARC speeder that will allow both Kelleran and Grogu to sit in. A couple fo accessories will be included along with potentially one more Minifigures once it releases on 1st May 2024. 1937 was the year that the original Snow White theme released and now almost 90 years later we have our first LEGO set based entirely on the Disney classic. In particular, this is 43242 Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Cottage which has today been officially revealed after over a year in the rumour mill. The 18+ LEGO Disney set will then become available in stores and online in just a few weeks time starting on 4th March 2024. The latest LEGO Disney set aimed at adults and an older audience has created plenty of hype since its original survey leak a year ago. The set has come a long way in that time though, decreasing slightly in size but definitely increasing in quality and detail. It still includes a large amount of pieces at 2,228 pieces at a reasonable retail price of $219.99 for the brick-built cottage. Snow White's Cottage is a beautifully built model, capturing the iconic cottage we saw on our screens for the first time many, many years ago. The LEGO version uses a tan colour scheme for the exterior of the build with a dark/curry yellow roof to replicate the straw-like effect of the cosy cottage. Different shades of brown can be seen around the windows, doors and other areas of the exterior to replicate wood. A couple of the brown tiles around the windows even include wooden prints with hearts in the middle. Plenty of scenery surrounds the front of the Cottage with a small dirt track leading to the front door and the rest being surrounded by green plates to signify grass. A couple of brick-built trees can also be seen here along with plenty of specialised leaf and vegetation pieces. There’s even a couple hanging above the door to give the cottage that forest look, replicating its animated version. Moving on inside, an open-back structure allows the 18+ LEGO Disney set to be easily accessible and playable inside and out. As you can see from the official images, there’s also a hinge connection to allow the Cottage to be moved, played and displayed however you may wish. The interior carries on the colour scheme seen on the exterior but expands across two relatively open and accessible floors. Features inside include a fireplace with an operational light brick, a large table with all the wonderful Minifigures included in 43242 to sit around, a few beds for the dwarfs to sleep in, a chest amongst other storage spaces and a spider exploring the darkest areas of the cottage. Plenty more details and fun builds are included which you'll be able to explore when building and playing with 43242 from the 4th of March 2024. The beautifully built cottage isn’t the only build of the $230 set, however. A small well covered with plants and of course the glass coffin in which Snow White can lay in whilst having her seven dwarfs around her. These are on separate plates to the cottage allowing them to again be displayed and played with in any way you wish. Even though 43242 is a LEGO 18+ set, the designers have still included plenty of play features and easter eggs to reference one of Disney’s most iconic films. But the set is not done there. For $230 and 2,228 pieces, a total of 10 Minifigures are included. These of course include Snow White along with each of the seven Dwarfs, but we also get the Evil Queen and Prince Florian. 2024 is the year of LEGO Space with a wide range of themes including out-of-the-world themed sets from LEGO City to LEGO DREAMZzz. And we now have rumours of a free Gift With Purchase LEGO Space-themed set releasing in just a couple of weeks time. In particular, this is 40712 Microscale Rocket Launchpad which will become available starting as early as the 16th February 2024. However, that 16th February 2024 date only applies if you are part of the LEGO Insiders program. Those who aren't part of the program will be able to get their hands on this brand new GWP starting from the 19th of February 2024 and lasting until the 25th of February 2024. 40712 will be available with any LEGO products as long as they go over the $200 threshold. Away from all the details, 40712 Microscale Rocket Launchpad GWP actually includes Classic Space branding on its box. All other LEGO Space sets so far this year have featured other branding but LEGO seems to be continuing to ever so slowly bring back iconic themes into the modern-day world. The set itself is even a nod to some classic LEGO space sets such as 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport , 6971 Inter-Galactic Command Base and 920 Alpha-1 Rocket Base . However, this time they are built in a much smaller, microscale way allowing two LEGO Classic Space baby Minifigures to be included. One LEGO Minifigures series for 2024 is already available, another leaked late last year and the third and final one has been a big mystery. But thanks to Instagram user maxbautde and Reddit user Clay_Bricks we now know 12 brand new collectible Minifigures will be releasing on 1st September 2024 based on the fantasy tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons. The game, which is owned by Hasbro, celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2024 and looks set to partner with LEGO to celebrate this occasion. But not just once as we previously thought with the LEGO Ideas model of 21348 Dungeons & Dragons, but twice with the CMF series of 71047 Dungeons & Dragons Series. The LEGO Ideas 18+ set releases in just a few weeks time on 1st April 2024 while the CMF series is a couple of months later. The Minifigures series will be the first and only series of 2024 to be based on a license as both 71045 and 71046 have been unlicensed, numbered series. However, 71047 still includes 12 unique collectable LEGO Minifigures, each in the recent cardboard packaging. There are a couple of D&D monsters, non-playable named characters and generic classes and races, from a dwarf and sorcerer to The Lady of Pain and Tasha the Witch Queen. The series has it all once it releases on the 1st of September 2024 for the usual CMF series price of $4.99. List of Minifigures Female Dwarf Barbarian - Possibly a new moulded axe, a torch and a bearded alternative facial expression. Githyanki Warlock - Possibly comes with a new hairpiece, eye staff and new mould for a knife. Tiefling Sorcerer - Comes with a Red baby dragon along with a new moulded hair piece with horns and some translucent pink claws. Dragonborn Paladin - Shield, mace, LEGO VIDIYO dragon head and a new mould for the figures armour and the head of the mace. Halfing Druid - Fancy cape, bird, staff and a new mould for the antlered hood. Aarakocra Ranger - Bow, small dog, faun legs and a new mould for both its head and wings. Mindflayer - Comes with the intellect devourer along with a new mould of its head and the devourer. Strahd Von Zarovich - Sword, goblet, rat and cape. It was only yesterday we reported to you the lineup of the next LEGO Minifigures but we now have our first images of the next 12 CMF figures. Thanks to Brick Clicker on YouTube we have a leaked, blurry image of the next LEGO Minifigures series, 71046 Space Series, which is coming on the 1st of May 2024. Just like the last two CMF series of 71039 Marvel Studios Series 2 and Series 25, this series will also sadly be in cardboard boxes. The second Minifigure series of 2024 is set to be a range of colourful classic Spacemen or Space-themed Minifigures from past LEGO Space themes along with a mix of new ones. This looks to coincide with LEGO's recent push for Space in 2024 with plenty of branding on a range of boxes in many different themes. That Space branding will also appear on the packaging of 71046 in May. A ton of references to LEGO Classic  Space, including a Classic  Space robot, a retro Spacewoman, an M-Tron redux, an Ice Planet redux accompanied by a Space Penguin, and a mutated Blacktron are included in the series. Alongside these are more modern figures such as an alien in a UFO costume, a grey alien tourist, an alien insectoid, a modern astronaut character, an Orion Minifigure and a Space Nurse. The first LEGO DC D2C for many, many years released earlier last year but the theme seems to be on the turn with another D2C coming in 2024. 76252 Batcave - Shadow Box released on 8th June 2023 becoming the biggest LEGO DC set of all time with 3,981 pieces retailing for $399.99. However, in 2024 the theme will see a brand new 18+ D2C set debut of 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City. The Batman-themed set, once it releases on 1st April 2024, will be the biggest LEGO DC set of all time with 4,208 pieces. At a much more reasonable price of $299.99, the 18+ set won't become the most expensive LEGO DC set mainly due to its LEGO Art-like features. 76271 is basically a 3D-style LEGO Art set showcasing the beautiful yet crime-ridden Gotham City at night in brick-built LEGO form. Like a LEGO Art set, the 30-inch long 18+ model can be mounted to the wall. 15 panels can then be removed to reveal hidden features and places inside of Gotham City. These include Wayne Manor, the Batcave, Arkham Asylum and whatever mischievous things the Villians of Gotham may be up to. All of this is happening at night so we get a beautiful skyline with a red sky and black clouds behind the tall buildings and towers of Gotham. In the beautiful night sky, there is a moon, police blimps, a bat signal and the batwing. You may even be able to spot a small brick-built version of Jokerland which even includes a Joker-themed Ferris Wheel. Right at the front of the display model, there's the word Gotham in brick-built letters but these can easily be removed if preferred. There's also little Batwing and Batmobile builds which can be displayed alongside the set.
