Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, master builders! 2025 has absolutely flown by, but it's been an action-packed, exciting and sometimes intriguing year for the LEGO Group, ourselves here at Bricks Up and, more importantly, you guys, the fans. The past 12 months have seen the LEGO Group continue to grow from strength to strength, releasing a record number of sets and achieving high profitability levels in its most recent financial report. The year has witnessed an incredible amount of sets from Formula 1 models and new licenses such as LEGO Bluey and LEGO ONE PIECE , to the first $1,000 LEGO build of October's 75419 Death Star . 2026's outlook is just as exciting as the LEGO Group launches its first Pokémon sets , extends its 18+ branded sets with Stranger Things and Project Hail Mary , for example, and introduces its latest gimmick: LEGO Smart Play . The Smart Brick will be the most technologically advanced LEGO brick yet, expanding across a range of themes as LEGO connects play and technology like never before. But for us here at Bricks Up, 2025 has been even bigger. Since January, we've had a record-breaking number of post views, site visits, shares and every other statistic you can think of available to an award-winning LEGO news website. We've written more articles than ever before, in a greater amount of depth and detail and covering the likes of LEGO DUPLO for the first time to cater to all ages of the LEGO fandom. Away from the many news articles and hottest rumours, the Bricks Up brand has also witnessed major changes and advances. In the summer, we launched an updated website, creating a more responsive and welcoming site that enabled brick-builders, young and old, to access the latest news in a much more accessible manner. Our social media channels, such as Instagram , have grown exponentially, and we've been able to partner with numerous LEGO-related organisations, such as Minifigure Maddness and Slab Dream Lab . In 2026, we'll continue to strengthen our community and brand image with more of the latest, in-depth and accurate LEGO news articles whilst working alongside some of the most creative individuals and businesses in the LEGO space. As the year comes to a close, we not only wanted to reflect on what a year it's been for Bricks Up but also thank you for your continued commitment and interest in the website. We couldn't have had such an enjoyable and successful year without you, so thank you so much, and we look forward to delivering more of the latest LEGO news and building an even stronger community in 2026. With the festive period well and truly upon us, we will be taking a short break between now and the new year. We expect to be back posting daily articles on the 2nd of January 2026. In the meantime, we can find plenty of images of all of the January 2026 sets alongside our promotional outlook for the first month of the year in a few days. Once again, thank you for a great 2025 and wishing you all a very merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years!
- LEGO Icons 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House Officially Revealed | January 2026
Just last week, we returned to Hawkins with the release of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, and to celebrate this, the LEGO Group are launching a brand new set based on the popular Netflix show. And now it won't be another BrickHeadz model following on from the recent release of 40801 Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will Figures , instead its our first LEGO Stranger Things Minifigures set since 2019 with the release of 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House on the 1st of January 2026. The LEGO Icons branded model is the most extensive Stranger Things set yet, with 2,593 pieces retailing for $299.99 / €279.99 / £249.99 . A larger and, unfortunately, much more expensive set than 75810 The Upside Down, which retailed for just $200. The 2026 model The 18+ build recreates the run-down mansion known as the Creel House, formerly belonging to the Creel family and acting as the location where Henry Creel (aka Vecna) first developed his dark powers. The house played a crucial role in the fourth series of the Netflix show, but has once again returned for the final series as 11370 is entirely based on Season 5 and the upcoming epic finale to the whole show. The Creel House is built as a dark blue facade with white window frames, and a black roof. Further details can be found in white, along with wooden planks covering the building and its windows, which were originally built back in 1882. The front porch area includes the steps leading up to the house and the iconic rose glass on the door, along with some foliage, a white lampost and a small post box, which has become a crucial element of the fifth series. The house expands across multiple stories and includes an entryway, dining room, sitting room, Alice’s and Henry’s bedrooms, the chilling upstairs hallway and 2 attic Spaces. One of the main play features of the $300 set is to basically pull the house apart to reveal Vecna's 'Mind Lair', where he keeps his victims imprisoned. Plenty of hinge connections and technic pieces are included to create this effect and reveal further brick-built elements, such as the staircase and the large grandfather clock from season 4. Further elements that can be pulled apart include the two thin trees at either side of the model. Here we can also find further side builds, including a bike, Steve's BMW car and the blue WSQK van, which has already played an important part in Volume 1 of Series 5. Finally, 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House includes a total of 13 new and exclusive Stranger Things LEGO Minifigures . These include Maxine (Max) Mayfield, Lucas Sinclair, Mike Wheeler, Eleven (Jane Hopper), Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, Dustin Henderson, Nancy Wheeler, Jonathan Buyers, Will Buyers and Vecna. Two lesser-known figures are also included of Holly Wheeler and Mr Whatsit, who acts as Henry in his human form. 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House Set Name - Stranger Things: The Creel House Set Number - 11370 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 2,593 Price - $299.99 / €279.99 / £249.99 Release Date - 1st January 2026 11370 Stranger Things: The Creel House releases on the 1st of January 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO City 60508 Police Train Heist Officially Revealed | March 2026
21 sets have already been officially revealed for a 1st of January 2025 release for the LEGO City theme but just two months after this date, the unlicensed LEGO theme will be releasing a further two models, including possibly the most expensive set of 2026 for the theme: 60508 Police Train Heist. The 7+ model includes a total of 1,313 pieces retailing for $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 once it's available from the 1st of March 2026. With such a harsh price-to-piece ratio, particularly for an unlicensed theme, 60508 is unsurprisingly similar to the most recent LEGO City train, which was released in June: 60470 Explorer Train . Just like March 2026's model, 60470 recreated a locomotive based on one of the theme's many subthemes alongside a loop of LEGO track and plenty of exciting play features and further appropriate side builds. 60508 Police Train Heist is a multi-car, action-packed LEGO train blending trains, police action and a classic robbery in a brick-built model. The locomotive forms the centrepiece of the build with a sleek blue and white police livery. Following the main carriage, there's three flatcars carrying a prison cell, a bank safe and a rally car. A side build of a grey and light green helicopter can be used to attempt to steal the cargo found on this LEGO City train. The brick-built helicopter is equipped with a giant grabber claw enabling the robbers to steal the dark green bank vault without the police being aware. There's also a play feature to explode both sides of the prisoner cell. Once again just like 60470 Explorer Train , 60508 Police Train Heist includes a collection of LEGO tracks which create an oval loop and also includes a railroad crossing and a track piece for re-railing trains. The 7+ model is then complete with six LEGO Minifigures : a detective, a police officer, a train driver and three crook figures. 60508 Police Train Heist Set Name - Police Train Heist Set Number - 60508 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 1,313 Price - $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 60508 Police Train Heist releases on the 1st of March 2026, but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 60508 in a few months? What other themed trains would you like to see in brick-built LEGO form? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
- LEGO City 60508 Police Train Heist Rumoured For March 2026
The LEGO City theme is already rumoured to have a busy and action-driven start to 2026, with a total of 21 sets releasing at the start of the new year . And just a couple of months later, the unlicensed LEGO theme will also see the launch of two more sets, including possibly the most expensive set of 2026 for the theme: 60508 Police Train Heist. The 7+ model includes a total of 1,313 pieces retailing for $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 once it's available from the 1st of March 2026. With such a harsh price-to-piece ratio, particularly for an unlicensed theme, we suspect 60508 will be similar to the most recent LEGO City train, which was released in June: 60470 Explorer Train . Just like March 2026's model, 60470 recreated a locomotive based on one of the theme's many subthemes alongside a loop of LEGO track and plenty of exciting play features and further appropriate side builds. Therefore, 60508 Police Train Heist is likely to be a multi-car, action-packed LEGO train blending trains, police action and a classic robbery in a brick-built model. The locomotive would form the centrepiece of the build, possibly with a sleek blue and white police livery along with lights, sirens and printed police badges. A single LEGO Minifigure will be able to conduct the train along the tracks, which will also be included as an oval loop in the 7+ model. Immediately behind the main locomotive engine carriage may be a command car providing a mobile control centre for the police officers included in 60508. Here we might find computer consoles, radios and play features such as a small jail and storage compartments holding evidence and stolen goods. The third and final carriage of the police train heist may be a flatbed designed to transport a highly valuable good, such as a sports car. This wagon could feature an extendable ramp or removable platform, allowing the captured vehicle to be recaptured by the LEGO crook figures included in the heist. A train stop mechanism, similar to the one found in 60470 Explorer Train , would act as another play feature, allowing the train to be hijacked and the robbers to sneakily escape. 60508 Police Train Heist Set Name - Police Train Heist Set Number - 60508 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 1,313 Price - $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 60508 Police Train Heist releases on the 1st of March 2026, but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 60508 in 2026? What would you like to see included in this classic robbery like LEGO City model? What other themed trains would you like to see in brick-built LEGO form? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
