The LEGO Group has officially teamed up with Pokémon GO for the very first time, with a brand new collaboration confirmed for GO Fest 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Taking place from the 12th to the 14th of June 2026, the latest partnership between the Danish toy manufacturers and the Pokémon franchise will transform the city of Copenhagen into a unique playground blending LEGO building with Pokémon GO's real-world gameplay.

As one of three major GO Fest events taking place globally this year, the Copenhagen edition is set to stand out thanks to its strong LEGO presence, especially given Denmark's status as the home of the LEGO brand. The collaboration also arrives as Pokémon GO approaches its 10th anniversary, making this a well-timed crossover between two globally recognised and ever-successful names.

At the heart of the event, Fælledparken will host a dedicated LEGO Play Zone, offering a range of hands-on activities alongside creative displays. While full details on specific builds have not been revealed, attendees can expect interactive experiences that bring LEGO play into the Pokémon GO environment in a meaningful way, from large-scale brick-built Pokémon displays to recreations of fans' favourite Kanto and Johto companions.

Meanwhile, LEGO retail stores across the city will be getting in on the action. Both The LEGO Store Copenhagen and The LEGO Store Tivoli Gardens will feature event-themed PokéStops, alongside in-store activities and exclusive giveaways. The three already available LEGO Pokémon sets will also still be available to purchase alongside these special events and possible giveaways.

A LEGO x Pokémon GO Stamp Rally will run throughout Copenhagen during the event, encouraging players to explore the city by visiting designated PokéStops. By collecting digital stamps, players will unlock an exclusive in-game reward, while themed digital stickers will also be available at participating LEGO Store locations.

Michael Steranka, Vice President of Product for Pokémon GO at Scopely, said: "Pokémon Go has always been about getting out into the world and playing in your own way – whether that's exploring somewhere new, meeting up with friends, or just taking a different route home. As we head into our 10th year, teaming up with the LEGO Group feels like a really natural fit because they've always been about that same kind of creativity and freedom to play. Bringing that to GO Fest 2026: Copenhagen – especially in LEGO's home country – feels special. We can't wait to see families, friends and fans building and adventuring together in Denmark, the homeland of LEGO."

Anne-Sophie Hadberg, Vice President & General Manager, Nordics at the LEGO Group, said: "For decades, LEGO play has brought people together across generations, and partnering with Pokémon GO at GO Fest 2026: Copenhagen is a fantastic way to spark new adventures. Whether you're building a Pikachu out of LEGO bricks or catching one in the wild, this collaboration is all about celebrating imagination, community and the thrill of discovery. We're beyond excited to see Copenhagen turn into a giant playground for LEGO builders and Pokémon Trainers alike."

The physical and highly interactive collaboration comes at a busy time for the LEGO Pokémon theme. Following the debut of three adult-oriented sets at the end of February, an even larger summer wave is expected in August 2026, including further 18+ builds, LEGO Pokémon Minifigures, LEGO SMART Play builds and much, much more.
