The reveal we've all been waiting for has finally happened as the LEGO Group has officially revealed its first Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set of 2026 with 75442 The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter. The 18+ model is this years headling release for the upcoming May the 4th celebrations, with a LEGO Star Wars livestream also taking place later today, taking a deeper dive into the new model and the promotions and discounts awaiting us at the start of next month.

Releasing on the 1st of May 2026 for LEGO Insiders and the 4th of May for general release, 75442 will become the most expensive Star Wars model of the year, retailing for $249.99 / €249.99 / £229.99. 1,809 pieces are included to recreate Din Djarin's modified N-1 Starfighter as seen in The Mandalorian Season 3 and The Book of Boba Fett. This is the second UCS set based on The Mandalorian, following 2022's 75331 The Razor Crest.

Being an 18+ model a part of the Ultimate Collector Series, 75442 The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter, unsurprisingly, heavily focuses on accuracy and display. The LEGO Group have used metallic drum-lacquered silver elements to recreate the ship's reflective outer shell, replacing the older chrome-style finish seen in earlier LEGO Naboo Starfighter sets. The result is a beautiful matte metallic look that shifts under light and reinforces the ship's modified, stripped-back design.

The overall structure of the N-1 Starfighter follows its on-screen shape very closely. The front section forms a wide, flattened triangle that narrows quickly into a long, thin rear fuselage. This contrast between a wide nose and a narrow tail defines the entire silhouette and is clearly visible in the finished model, which measures over 7.5 inches (19 cm) high, 17.5 inches (44 cm) long and 15.5 inches (39 cm) wide.

At the front, the twin wing sections extend outward to create the widest point of the build. Each wing connects directly to exposed J-type engine housings. These engines sit prominently on either side of the cockpit area and include visible mechanical detailing built up from layered elements. The engines are one of the most visually dense parts of the model and give the ship its industrial, modified appearance compared to the original Naboo design.

The colour scheme also supports this redesign, with most of the original yellow panels from the Naboo Starfighter being removed and instead replaced with metallic silver and multiple shades of grey. Some small sections and hints of yellow remain around the cockpit area, which forms the central focal point of the 1,809-piece model.

The brick-built cockpit includes a long, stretched windshield for Din Djarin and a smaller secondary pod behind it designed for Grogu. Both sections can be removed, allowing access to interior detailing. The cockpit design uses curved elements to maintain a smooth aerodynamic shape while still fitting the sharper UCS aesthetic.

The overall LEGO N-1 Starfighter is displayed on a classic 18+ display stand with a printed information plaque. The set also includes a display stand with a printed information plaque. Builders can position the model in two orientations, either side-on to highlight the profile or angled forward for a more action-style presentation. The two LEGO Minifigures included in 75442 can also be displayed here: Din Djarin with his blaster pistol and Grogu in the updated model used across the May 2026 Star Wars range.
