After the recent results of the third LEGO Ideas review of 2021, it's time to look at all the LEGO Ideas sets that are currently in development. The recent release of 21335 Motorised Lighthouse means that there's one less project the LEGO Ideas team are working on but another nine projects are in development including the new additions of Viking Village. However, all the details we give about each set are currently unconfirmed. Ray the Castaway GWP The winner of the coastal GWP competition, Ray the Castaway, has now been in development for about a year and, thanks to Brick Clicker, it's rumoured to be releasing in October 2022. The set is likely to be worth around $20-$25 and includes one Minifigure of Ray himself. 40566 will likely be revealed within the next few weeks but we'll only get confirmation from LEGO really close to the time. It's already been rumoured that at least two LEGO Chinese New Year sets will be coming for 2023 and so will a brand new GWP to celebrate the year of the rabbit. In particular, it'll be 40575 Year of the Rabbit which, thanks to stonewars.de , we already have pictures of. Even though the set is meant to be in stores until December/January, stonewars.de found the set abroad and was even able to purchase it regularly. This also means that we have official pictures of 40575 thanks to stonewars.de . The Chinese New Year set is very similar to its predecessors with it being a cute brick-built black and white rabbit. Its belly is a lovely shade of brown which fits in nicely with its small green environment build. The rabbit is also believed to be able to twist his head and move his paws/legs. Even with all these pictures and information, there is still no confirmed release date for the new Chinese New Years' set. However, it is believed that 40575 will be available from LEGO stores and online from either the last week of December 2022 or the first week of January 2023. With the first-ever wave of LEGO Avatar set to release on 1st October 2022, we now have our first information on the second wave. This wave will be available from 1st January 2023 according to brickmerge.de with another four brand new sets. The rumours from Brickmerge.de keep on coming as the price comparison site have given us our first details on the LEGO Art theme for 2023. However, these details sadly only include one set of 31208 which currently has no set name. In the last three years that the theme has been going, each year has had four different LEGO Art sets released so it's likely we'll see more throughout the year but maybe not in the first half like 31208. But luckily there isn't long to wait for 31208 as it'll release on 1st January 2023 and retail for $99.99. Even though thanks to Promobricks.de we know most of the LEGO Star Wars sets for the first half of 2023, brickmerge.de have revealed more information. In particular, we now know that the two sets, 75346 and 75348, based on season 3 of the Mandalorian will be releasing on 1st May 2022. Currently, the third season of the popular Disney+ show is rumoured for February 2023 but no official date or trailer has been given.
