Autumn is well and truly here and that means Halloween and you can't have the spookiest time of the year without LEGO. Similar to last year, LEGO will be releasing an exclusive Halloween-themed Gift With Purchase licensed under the LEGO Creator 3in1 theme. Last year it was 40562 Mystic Witch but this year LEGO have gone a different route with a spooky pirate-themed set of 40597 Pirate Island. 40597 Pirate Island, due to it reportedly being a LEGO Creator 3in1 set, will have three unique builds involving the same 214 pieces included in the set. The main build is a mini pirate island with a small grey cave and what looks to be the shipwreck of a red and black ship. A tiny raft is then included with a singular pirate Minifigure who is looking to find the hidden treasure. The other two builds are currently unknown but there's also the possibility that the set only includes this build. Either way, 40597 will be available from 13th October 2023 and will most likely last for around two weeks. The threshold for the GWP is also unknown but going off of last year and previous promotional sets, we expect it to be around the $100 mark. 40597 Pirate Island Set Name - Pirate Island Set Number - 40597 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 214 Price - TBC GWP Release Date - 13th October 2023

Only a couple more D2Cs remain for LEGO in 2023 but the Gift With Purchases are nowhere near done for the remaining three months. This is especially the case for October which is rumoured to include three brand new GWPs. One of these is 40596 Magic Maze which is a brand new idea and style of a GWP where a brick-built maze game is the free promotional item. The aim is to get the ball from the start of the maze all the way to the end by moving the maze around with your own hands. The ball moves through many different coloured and themed levels from a nature-themed green level to a sticky honey-themed level which includes the beehive pieces. The more inner workings and objectives of the brick-built 223 pieces game are unknown but we're sure to find out soon as the GWP is available starting from 1st October 2023. How long it will be available for and for what price are still unknown but once again this will soon be known with the release just over a week away. 40596 Magic Maze Set Name - Magic Maze Set Number - 40596 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - 332 Price - TBC GWP Release Date - 1st October 2023

The last LEGO Super Mario set of 2023 has been officially revealed with this being the only non-course building set of the year. This is mainly because it's the yearly LEGO Super Mario 18+ D2C which this year is 71426 Piranha Plant. The $59.99 set is a brick-built version of the iconic Super Mario enemy of a Piranha Plant which will go perfectly with last year's 71411 The Mighty Bowser. And similar to previous LEGO Super Mario D2C's, no Minifigures are included in the 18+ set with the Piranha Plant being the main build. But for the 540 pieces included, we do get a brick-built version of the iconic Super Mario green pipe which the Piranha Plant can sit in. This makes it almost feel like a licensed Botanical Collection set that will release on 6th November 2023. Set Information Set Name - Piranha Plant Set Number - 71426 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 540 Price - $59.99 Release Date - 6th November 2023

Yes, that's right the seventh and final LEGO Ideas set of 2023 will be officially revealed in exactly two weeks time on 4th October 2023. In particular, this is the long-rumoured 18+ set of 21344 Orient Express originally submitted by LEt.sGO a few years ago. But now a dream will become a reality once LEt.sGo's LEGO Ideas set hits shelves on 1st November 2023 retailing for $299.99 with 2,540 pieces. Brick-built LEGO trains have been a neglected part of the LEGO universe but LEGO seems to finally be expanding into this popular market. How this will turn out though, is quite a big mystery and LEGO will only proceed to release more LEGO train sets if this one of 21344 sells well. Like many LEGO Ideas sets and LEGO 18+ sets in general, the set will most likely be exclusive to LEGO to begin with but will be more widely available a few months later. As already mentioned, the LEGO Ideas set will include a total of 2,540 pieces which may sound like a lot but it is actually 455 pieces fewer than the original fan submission. This had a total of 2,995 pieces which suggests that the huge difference could be due to the tracks. The LEGO Orient Express model is supposed to fit on regular LEGO rails so a possibility could be that the set includes a couple of LEGO rails for the train to run on. However, even if it can run on LEGO rails and these pieces are included, it is expected to not include any motorized elements. Instead, these will have to be purchased separately but should allow the designers to keep one of the biggest LEGO Ideas set at that $299.99 price point. Set Information Set Name - Orient Express Set Number - 21341 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 2,540 Price - $299.99 Release Date - 1st November 2023

Christmas is less than 100 days away and LEGO will be kicking the festive period off with a brand new LEGO 18+ set. In particular, this is the yearly LEGO Icons Winter Village set which is the biggest and usually the best Christmas set of the year. And 2023 is no different with a mix of wooden and stone Winter Lodge coming under the set number and name of 10325 Alpine Lodge. 10325 Alpine Lodge will retail for the same price as last year's Winter Village set of 10308 Holiday Main Street at $99.99. When 10308 released on 1st October 2022 it was the biggest LEGO Winter Village set of all time but 10325 will beat this with a total of 1,517 pieces. These pieces are used to create a festive three-storey winter lodge building covered with snow and ice and other festive scenery like mistletoe and cute squirrels. The Apline Hut which is called Two Pines Inn as the sign above the door tells us, measures 24 cm wide and 21 cm high. The wintery building is unsurprisingly open from the back allowing easy access and play to all three floors. On the ground floor, there is a reception desk with a coffee machine, a Christmas tree and comfortable armchairs. There is also a brick-built fireplace where a light brick can be used to light up the cosy fire. There are a total of two beds on the first floor and one under the roof on the second floor where guests of the lodge can sleep. A green door on the first floor also gives access to the house's balcony which is also covered in snow like the roof of the Alpine Lodge. However, the Lodge isn't the only build as outside there is also an outhouse and a frozen pond where you can play ice hockey or ice skate. A snowmobile with a trailer is also part of the set which is used to carry around the festive, snow-covered trees. For $100, this makes it a pretty reasonable set, perfect for Christmas and perfect for Minifigures as five minifigures are included along with a cat, a squirrel and a bird. Set Information Set Name - Winter Lodge Set Number - 10325 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 1,517 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st October 2023

The world of LEGO Friends and minidolls is about to get even more exciting with a wave of new sets releasing on 1st January 2024. These sets, just like the two waves from this year, will continue following the brand-new group of LEGO Friends characters. The new group of eight characters, five girls and three boys, are spread throughout these sets along with new unique characters with new hair, hats and prints for your minidoll collection. And again, like the previous LEGO Friends waves, January 2024s is a big one with 18 sets and two polybags. Our first set is 42603 Stargazing Camping Vehicle which for $29.99 allows a perfect vehicle to be built for both stargazing and camping. Other likely inclusions in the set are a stargazing telescope, a picnic area and even a campfire for toasting marshmallows. This is followed by the biggest set of the wave which is 42604 Heartlake City Shopping Mall. For $119.99 and 1,237 pieces a new shopping mall will be coming in 2024 and hopefully, this one will be the best yet. A boutique, a food court, a second floor equipped with an escalator and much more would make for the perfect Shopping Mall. Two more large sets are also releasing in this wave of 42620 and 46261. 46260 retails for $99.99 with 1,126 pieces and is Olly and Paisley's Family House in brick-built LEGO form. Meanwhile, 46261 which also retails for $99.99 but with 1,045 pieces is a brand new Heartlake City Hospital. With such a high price hopefully, the emergency building includes examination rooms, a waiting area and maybe even a helicopter pad. One of the few unlicensed successful LEGO themes is expanding further as we now have more information about one of the four sets releasing for the LEGO Speed Champions theme. This is a single car of 76921 Audi S1 E Tron Quattro retailing for the now normal price of $26.99. Along with three other LEGO Speed Champions sets, 76921 will release on 1st March 2024. The build of the car itself has little information but, like with all sets releasing next year, they'll carry on being eight studs wide. It'll also most likely just include one generic Minifigure in a custom-designed red or white Audi racing suit. This will match the car which will most likely a mix of red, white, grey and black which have all been previously seen on the car with its aggressive front and rear. 76921 Audi S1 E Tron Quattro Set Name - Audi S1 E Tron Quattro Set Number - 76921 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 274 Price - $26.99 Release Date - 1st March 2024 Featured image: audi-mediacenter.com

LEGO's latest licensed theme looks set to have its second wave only a few months after its first with two brand new sets releasing on 1st January 2024. One of these is 76995 Shadow's Lab Escape which for $20.99 will include 196 pieces. As the name suggests, the main build of the set will be a small lab build with a couple of play features for the 'escape' part of the model. More of the 196 pieces will be used for the build of the enemy Rhinobot and the other two characters included in the $21 set. These are a brand new exclusive Shadow Minifigure and a reuse of Clucky the Chicken from 76991 Tails' Workshop and Tornado Plane. A side build for this brand-new Shadow Minifigure will also be included of his bike, further allowing him to escape from this brick-built lab. 76995 Shadow's Lab Escape Set Name - Shadow's Lab Escape Set Number - 76995 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 196 Price - $20.99 Release Date - 1st January 2024

As LEGO continue to expand further into the adult 18+ market, it's no surprise that the 18+ LEGO Art theme is continuing into 2024. Three sets released for the theme this year of 31208 The Great Wave in January and then both 31209 The Amazing Spider-Man and 31210 Modern Art in August. Next year looks to be following the same pattern with currently one set rumoured for a 1st January 2024 release. This set follows on from the previous set numbers with 31211 being called Pair of Parrots thanks to Brick Clicker. Unsurprisingly, the artistic build will be a brick-built display model of two colourful and vibrant parrots in a 2D style form. Like all LEGO Art sets released so far, 31211 Pair of Parrots will be able to be hung from the wall, further making the 18+ model a great display piece. However, unlike the first few LEGO Art sets that were mosaics, 31211 Pair of Parrots will be more similar to 31206 The Rolling Stones where it is a free-form model rather than being in a much more restrictive frame. The set will also likely include a few bigger pieces to create the accurately detailed parrots which would explain the retail price of $49.99 for 644 pieces. 31211 Pair of Parrots Set Name - Pair of Parrots Set Number - 31211 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 644 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st January 2024

It's been four years since the release of the LEGO Ideas set 21317 Steamboat Willie but the Disney-themed model will be returning in some form. This is because a miniature version of Steamboat Willie will be releasing next month as a Gift With Purchase online and in LEGO stores. The GWP, under the set number 40659 and the set name Mini Steamboat Willie, will be available from 15th October 2023 for an unknown length of time. As already mentioned, 21317 Steamboat Willie was first released in 2019 and included both Mickey and Minnie in black and white form. This was because the set was Minifigure scale but 40659 will be a much smaller scale which is actually more similar to the original LEGO Ideas submission. 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie will include 424 pieces, 300 pieces less than 21317, but still includes at least one Minifigure of Mickey Mouse in black and white. 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie GWP Set Name - Mini Steamboat Willie GWP Set Number - 40659 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 424 Price - TBC GWP Release Date - 15th October 2023

As has become a tradition for the past 15 years, another LEGO Modular Building will be coming in 2024 as part of the 18+ LEGO Icons theme. The set will have the set number 10326 and thanks to Brick Clicker we now know its price and piece count. Its name is still a big mystery but the Youtuber has stated that 10326 will include a total of 4,014 pieces retailing for $299.99. Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, 2024s modular will be the biggest and most expensive modular ever. 10326 will overtake the now retiring 10255 Assembly Square which also retails for $299.99 but with just a few fewer pieces at 4,002. This suggests that 10326 will be a brand-new flagship LEGO modular building, staying in production for many years and being the go-to set for the LEGO Icons and LEGO Modular line. As vaguely mentioned, we still don't know the exact specific details on 10326 apart from the price, piece count and release date of 1st January 2024. But if it is believed to be very similar to 10255 Assembly Square then the Modular building will most likely be a brand new town centre, bursting with life and spreading over one and a half baseplates. It may also include a greater selection of Minifigures totalling eight or ten for example. Set Information Set Name - *LEGO Icons 2024 Modular Building* Set Number - 10326 Ages - 18+ Piece Count - 4,014 Price - $299.99 Release Date - 1st January 2024

With the hotly anticipated D2C set of 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank - Collectors' Edition now being available to purchase, it's time to look at what's happening with the retirement of some of our beloved older sets from the LEGO Harry Potter theme. We've got information covering all sets on the market for the LEGO Harry Potter theme, covering the years up to 2025. Remember that this information is likely to change as new sets hit shelves on 1st March 2024 and sales continue to increase or decrease. However, we can say that most of the LEGO Harry Potter sets released in 2021 will definitely have retired at the end of 2024 to make way for even more Harry Potter-themed models. Any LEGO Harry Potter D2C sets like 75978 Diagon Alley and 76405 Hogwarts Express - Collectors' Edition tend to stick around longer than your average LEGO set. But due to them being Direct to Consumer (D2C) sets, there usually much harder to acquire in the first place and will therefore go for a hefty amount of money on second-hand online marketplaces such as Ebay. LEGO themselves will chop and change models in an extremely short period of time so our advice is to purchase a set whilst you can. But luckily plenty more sets will be coming next year so be ready to splash the cash on even more LEGO sets.

It's finally here, the biggest, most expensive and possible one of the best LEGO Star Wars sets of 2023 has been officially revealed. In particular, this is the previously leaked 18+ Ultimate Collectors Series set of 75367 UCS Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. It was just December 2022 that 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer retired from shelves but this new 18+ UCS variant will soon release on 4th October 2023 to take up that gap in the shelves. 75367 will include 5,374 pieces and retail for $649.99 as previously rumoured which means it'll have 700 more pieces than the imperial version for $50 less. However, even with these slightly different prices and piece counts, the Venator is in the same scale and similar size to the UCS Star Destroyer. In fact, even with more pieces, the UCS Venator is 1.09 metres in length whilst the UCS Star Destroyer is longer by a single cm at 1.10 metres long. Along with the Venator's huge size and overall sleek build, a couple of microscale builds are also included in the $650 set. Unlike the rumours, only one microscale mini gunship is included but the build for the vehicle is still cute and detailed for its small size. It can even be placed inside the hanger of the Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser adding another authentic feature to the 18+ set along with the command bridge and striking red stripes. However, the UCS Venator Star Destroyer even with its high piece count and even larger price, only includes two Minifigures. These are Admiral Yularen with a double-sided printed head and plain officer's uniform, and Captain Rex with a brand new face print in his phase 2 armour. Both of these sit on the usual UCS black stand beneath the UCS Venator Star Destroyer where a printed information plaque is also included. Set Information Set Name - Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser Set Number - 75367 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 5,374 Price - $649.99 Release Date - 4th October 2023 (1st October 2023 for LEGO Insiders)

Over the past few days, we've covered all the rumours concerning LEGO Harry Potters's March 2024 wave but just one set remains. In particular, this is 76432 Forbidden Forest: Magical Creatures which will retail for $29.99 with 172 pieces. As the name suggests, the brick-built scene will be based on the spooky and dangerous Forbidden Forest which has appeared throughout each of the eight films. In this $30 set, a small section of the Forbidden Forest takes up most of the pieces but plenty of characters are included for that small price and piece count. Both Ron and Hermione are included as Minifigures along with the reappearance of Buckbeak and various other Harry Potter-themed animals. 76432 Forbidden Forest: Magical Creatures Set Name - Forbidden Forest: Magical Creatures Set Number - 76432 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 172 Price - $29.99 Release Date - 1st March 2024
