LEGO Technic 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Rumoured For July 2026

Following the official reveal of 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car just a few days ago, we have official images of nearly every LEGO Technic set for 2026, bar two builds. And one of these sets is the next flagship 1:8 supercar set in the theme's ever-expanding range of expertly designed brick-built vehicles.

In particular, this is 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear, which continues the LEGO Group's tradition of releasing a LEGO Technic supercar every other year. The last vehicle as part of the Ultimate Car Concept was 42172 McLaren P1 with its striking orange livery produced from a total of 3,893 pieces. While 2026 may not have such a vibrant colour scheme, the LEGO Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear is the biggest Technic supercar build yet, with a total of 4,104 pieces retailing for $449.99 / €449.99 / £399.99.

42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear brings the Koenigsegg manufacturer to the prestigious 1:8 scale Technic supercar lineup for the first time with the Sadair Spear. The real-world Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear debuted in 2025 as an ultra-exclusive, track-focused evolution of the Jesko. Limited to just 30 examples worldwide, the vehicle is one of the most extreme road-legal hypercars ever produced, making it a fitting choice for LEGO Technic's Ultimate Car Collection.

The build itself is predominantly black/dark brown, using a mix of smooth curved Technic panels and flexible axles for the car's aggressive aerodynamic design. A metallic gold/bronze colour scheme is used for highlights. This includes twin racing stripes running down the centre of the hood and over the roof, front winglets, side trim elements, and the massive brick-built rear wing.

The interior cockpit is visible in the build like previous LEGO Technic supercar models, utilising an orange-brown colour scheme for its seats and interior panelling. A heavily wraparound windshield fram encloses this small interior cockpit section, aiming to mimic the distinct curved glass of an actual hypercar. The roofline is flat and low, carrying the previously mentioned gold stripes toward the engine bay, rear and high-mounted spoiler.

Based on LEGO Technic's previous 1:8-scale Ultimate Car Collection models, 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear will include several functional elements. The 18+ model will likely feature working steering, an advanced transmission system with multiple gears, a detailed replica engine with moving pistons, and independently functioning suspension. Several opening features will allow even further access to the cockpit and inner workings of the stunning Sadair's Spear.
