LEGO Technic 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car Officially Revealed | July 2026

The Formula 1 circus is heading to Monaco this weekend, for the Jewel in the F1 crown, but in exactly a months time, the global sport will be expanding its partnership with our favourite toy manufacturer even further. In particular, the LEGO Group has officially revealed 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car - our third-ever LEGO set based on the ever-present Aston Martin Formula 1 team.

Based on Aston Martin's real-world 2025 Formula 1 challenger, the AMR25 has now been recreated in LEGO Technic form across 1,547 pieces. Launching on the 1st of July 2026, the new 18+ set will retail for $229.99 / €229.99 / £199.99 and delivers another premium 1:8 scale Formula 1 build following March's Constructors World Champion release of 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car.

Built to the same display scale used across recent LEGO Technic Formula 1 models from McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull, the Aston Martin Aramco AMR25 combines authentic styling with a strong focus on engineering functions. The sleek bodywork recreates Aston Martin's signature British racing green livery using a complex mix of LEGO Technic elements, accented with bright lime green detailing and sponsor graphics spread across the front wing, engine cover and sidepods.

Beyond the exterior design, 42240 Aston Martin AMR25 F1 Car packs in the mechanical functionality expected from LEGO Technic's flagship Formula 1 range. The model features working steering, front and rear push rod suspension, a functioning differential and a detailed drivetrain connected to a 2-speed gearbox.

Powering the model is a brick-built V6 engine paired with a simulated electric motor, hidden beneath a removable engine cover. LEGO has also incorporated a functioning DRS system, allowing builders to raise the rear spoiler when the higher gear is selected, recreating one of modern Formula 1's most recognisable performance features.
