LEGO Star Wars 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-Wing Officially Revealed | March 2026

One of the most iconic and memorable moments from the original Star Wars trilogy returns to brick-built LEGO form, but this time in the most interactive and play-driven way yet. That's right, the third and final LEGO Star Wars SMART Play set officially revealed at CES 2026 is 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-Wing. The 9+ model is the biggest Star Wars set releasing on the 1st of March 2026, including 962 pieces retailing for a whopping $159.99 / €159.99 / £139.99.

The central build of 75427 is a recreation of the Emperor's Throne Room from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. With the help of LEGO's cleverly designed SMART Play system, various technology-packed characters can be posed and play out the final lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

The set's layout is wide and horizontally oriented, with platforms and space to stage the different interactions. At the back of the set is the detailed throne room itself with Palpatine's spinning black chair and space for his two guards to stand next to him. This is then attached to the main duel area, which is portrayed as a large round platform with long axles used to make the LEGO Minifigures duel.

The $160 set includes a further two builds of a Death Star II turret and an A-Wing with space for a single LEGO Minifigure to pilot. This could be one of six Minifigures included in the 9+ model of the returning SMART Darth Vader, a different variation of SMART Luke Skywalker, SMART Emperor Palpatine and three standard figures of an A-Wing Pilot and two Royal Guards.

Being an all-in-one LEGO SMART Play playset, 75427 includes the standard technology-driven features of SMART Bricks, SMART Tags and a yellow charging dock. In fact, the Throne Room Duel & A-Wing includes two SMART Bricks, which will be able to interact with a further five SMART Tags. Placed throughout the set, these tags will result in Lightsaber hums, the engine roar of the A-Wing and even a rendition of The Imperial March with Emperor Palpatine sitting on his throne.
