LEGO Ideas 21365 Love Birds Rumoured For January 2026

Just one more LEGO Ideas set remains for 2025, and once 21363 The Goonies (1985) releases on the 1st of November 2025, it will mark the end of a record-breaking year for the 18+ theme. Just two months later, though, and the Ideas brand will be launching its first set of 2026: 21365 Love Birds. The 18+ model will retail for $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 from the 1st of January 2025 as a LEGO store and Target exclusive.

21365 Love Birds is likely to be this year's perfect LEGO Valentine's Day model, with a compact yet elegant display piece releasing just over a month before the day we all celebrate love. The original submission by Modular Maniac won the LEGO Ideas Build from the Heart Challenge, utilising a total of 411 pieces to recreate the vibrant model. Less than a year later, we can expect the official model to include a few more pieces, along with a slightly expanded and refined build.

The final build will still likely centre on two brick-built pink love birds, carefully shaped using plenty of curved elements to create some of the most detailed and elegant birds in brick-built LEGO form yet. The two birds will be perched very close to each other and posed in a way that highlights their special bond. Detailed and expressive eyes will be included along with posability in the birds' legs, wings and head, for example.

These two beautifully designed birds will be perched on intricately designed tree with a large brick-built branch hanging out to the side to take the weight of the love birds. The entirely brown tree will be built on a similar scale and level of detail to those seen in the LEGO Botanicals theme. Delicate pink blossoms will then be found at the end of the large branch, and possibly scattered throughout the rest of the tree, which may include a small, simple yet sturdy base to display 21365.
