LEGO Ideas 21363 The Goonies (1985) Rumoured For November 2025

The LEGO Ideas theme looks set to revisit the 1980s once again, this time with one of cinema's most beloved adventure films. In particular, 21363 The Goonies (1985) will be launching on the 1st of November 2025, bringing brick-built nostalgia to fans of the cult classic movie. The 10th and final LEGO Ideas set of the year will include a total of 2,912 pieces, retailing for $299.99 / €299.99 / £259.99.

The official 18+ model will be based on the fan-designed set by Delusion Brick, which won 2024's If We Could Turn Back Time challenge. It will pay tribute to the 1985 film, The Goonies, which follows a group of kids on a daring treasure hunt filled with puzzles, pirate ships and perilous encounters. 21363 will mark only the second-ever LEGO Goonies set after the franchise previously appeared in a LEGO Dimensions Level Pack.

With almost 3,000 pieces, the LEGO Ideas model will be a substantial build, dominated by an extremely detailed brick-built recreation of One-Eyed Willy's pirate ship, the Inferno. One of many LEGO ships released in recent years, the Inferno is a classic vessel, coloured mainly brown with a curved hull, decorative detailing such as cannons and small windows, and tall thin masts. The ship rests upon a rocky base with jagged stalagmites that can even be found on the Inferno itself.

Turning the model around reveals a full cross-section of the cave and the ship's interior, acting as a multi-scene diorama packed full of references to the movie's treasure hunt. There's the booby-trapped cavern with swinging boulders, an underground waterway with a wooden bridge, and the treasure chamber featuring a golden skeleton throne surrounded by piles of loot. The rear also incorporates the pirate ship’s cabin, ladders, and hidden passageways for our LEGO Minifigures to explore.

Talking about Minifigures, the original submission included a total of 11 new and exclusive characters in LEGO form. These include the main Goonies of Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Data Stef, Andy and Brand alongside Sloth in his Superman shirt and members of the Fratelli family, which include Jake, Francies and Mama Fratelli. Each figure included its own unique accessory and could be placed on a Goonies-themed display stand.
