With the FIFA World Cup 2026 right around the corner, it's time to get into the football fever with nine brand new football-inspired LEGO sets officially presented today. All of these nine models are a part of the new for 2026 LEGO Editions theme, which has already kicked off with two previous World Cup-branded sets and further Formula 1-branded builds in the not-too-distant future.
But on the 1st of May 2026, eight LEGO Editions football sets will be available, followed by the sole release of 43018 Lionel Messi - Celebration in June. The wave combines iconic players, national identity, and major tournament branding, bringing together brick-built figures, stylised dioramas, and collectable display pieces.
Headlining the range are some of the biggest names in football, including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior. Each player receives an exclusive LEGO Minifigure with detailed printing and nationally inspired designs, while Messi and Ronaldo also receive entirely brick-built, display-focused interpretations. Alongside the player-focused sets, LEGO has also introduced two further officially licensed builds tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026.
