The LEGO 2025 rumour mill has been extremely slow so far but as each day we edge ever closer to a brand new year, more and more rumours are appearing. One of the LEGO themes that's had an extremely busy couple of years has been the LEGO Disney line of sets. The licensed theme has released a range of models over the past 24 months celebrating 100 years of the Walt Disney franchise.
This year we've seen the theme-produce sets based on the likes of Sleeping Beauty, Moana, Maleficient, The Little Mermaid and much more. We even saw sets based on The Lion King and Lilo & Stitch of 43243 Simba The Lion King Cub and 43249 Stitch respectively. A couple of 18+ D2Cs were also released for theme amongst the usual playsets and we expect that trend to continue into the new year.
First rumours for the theme in 2025 suggest that a total of eight sets will be launching at the start of the new year on the 1st of January 2025. No set numbers, official names or piece counts are known but the Instagram user exabrickslegogo_ has given us a rough list of what to expect from the theme in a few months time along with an estimated price:
Cinderella Dress ($39.99). An original idea from LEGO themselves, this set suggests either a brick-built dress for the princess Cinderella or a stand to place the princess on along with other iconic details from the original 1950 film.
Cruella and Maleficent Dresses ($69.99). A very similar set to the previous one but this time focusing on Disney villains rather than Disney princesses. The model includes both Cruella, originally from 101 Dalmations, and Maleficent who again originally just featured in Sleeping Beaty both her spin-off films in recent years.
Twirling Ariel ($9.99). Not much to be said here as we can expect 43214 Twirling Rapunzel again but this time The Little Mermaid themed with a minidoll of Ariel included.
Buildable Hei Hei ($39.99). With Moana 2 coming out in November this year LEGO seems to be slowly rolling out more sets based on the original 2016 movie. This latest set sees a brick-built version of Hei Hei the Rooster who unintentionally joins Moana on her journey across the ocean.
Mini Encanto House ($19.99). A brick-built version of the house from Encanto is already on shelves of 43245 The Magical Madrigal House. This suggests this rumoured model is either a microscale version of the house or some other house from the 2021 movie which will be recreated in brick-built LEGO form.
4+ Frozen Sleigh Ride. The only set on this list without a price but we do know it is a 4+ model so won't include many pieces for its retail value. Expect an easy-to-build sleigh based on one of the two Frozen films along with a small side build and a couple of minidolls.
Arendelle Castle ($29.99). Another Frozen-based set and this time it focuses on the central location of the Disney princess films, Arendelle. In particular, for the first time, we'll see a brick-built recreation of the Arendelle Castle. It won't be very large so we expect a very small interior only vaguely covering the key scenes in the original 2013 film.
Cinderella Castle ($79.99). Our second castle of the January 2025 wave will reportedly be the most iconic of them all, Cinderella's. The original 1950 princess castle has appeared in brick-built form many times before, both with Minifigures and minidolls. The latest version looks to be reasonably sized and includes a fair amount of Cinderella-themed minidolls.
Lilo & Stitch House ($89.99). The most exciting set on this list comes last as we expect another Lilo & Stitch-themed set in 2025 and it looks to finally be Minifigure-based. A brick-built recreation of Lilo's house will take place and we expect both her, Stitch and possibly her sister Nani to be included as exclusive Minifigures.
That's all the very vague rumours we have for the LEGO Disney theme in 2025 but what do you think? Do you like the sound of any of these sets? Which ones excite you the most?
