  • LEGO Icons 10355 Blacktron Renegade Officially Revealed | January 2025

As LEGO continues to dive into nostalgia with sets such as this year's 10332 Medieval Town Square and 2023s 10320 Eldorado Fortress, today's presentation has shown another blast from the past, releasing next year under the LEGO Icons theme. In particular, this set is 10355 Blacktron Renegade which presents a thrilling return of the iconic Blacktron theme, which originally captivated LEGO space enthusiasts back in the late '80s and early '90s. The Blacktron theme holds a special place in the hearts of long-time LEGO fans. Blacktron was one of LEGO’s earliest “bad guy” factions in the space genre, known for its bold colour scheme and mysterious, rogue-like space explorers. The theme’s distinct black-and-yellow design and futuristic ships brought a unique edge, contrasting sharply with the more heroic space factions. Releasing on the 5th of January 2025, 10355 Blacktron Renegade will retail for $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99 with a total of 1,151 pieces included. The 18+ model is a direct remake of 1987s 6954 Renegade which includes a much smaller piece count of 313 elements. Like many LEGO Classic Space models, a lot of larger, very unique pieces were used to create the model which we no longer see in 2025 as LEGO incorporates much smaller pieces to create a more detailed and accurate spaceship. 10355 Blacktron Renegade retains the sleek, angular silhouette of the original while introducing intricate details that give it a more refined look. The model preserves the signature black-and-yellow Blacktron colour scheme and sharp, futuristic angles, bringing the spirit of the Blacktron Renegade into the modern LEGO era. LEGO has also made the set feature a modular design, allowing the Blacktron Renegade to be rebuilt into the Blacktron Alienator. Some of the new brick-built play features of the ship include a planet-rover drop pod, landing gear, two wing-mounted space speeders and two engine energy canisters. To navigate and control such a complicated and quick spaceship we need an excellent brick-built crew. Luckily, 10355 includes three Blacktron Minifigures along with a brick-built Blacktron droid which, like the Minifigures, continues the mainly black colour scheme. 10355 Blacktron Renegade Set Name - Blacktron Renegade Set Number - 10355 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,151 Price - $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99 Release Date - 5th January 2025 10355 Blacktron Renegade releases on the 5th of January 2025 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 10355 in just a couple of weeks time? Do you own any LEGO Classic Space and Blacktron sets? What other nostalgic sets would you like to see recreated in the LEGO Icons theme? • LEGO Ideas 21354 Twilight: The Cullen House Rumoured For February 2025

Amongst the many LEGO reveal over the past couple of weeks one of the most popular themes has been missing. The LEGO Ideas theme is one of only a handful of LEGO themes not having any sets releasing on the 1st of January 2025 and instead two Ideas branded models will be released exactly a month later on the 1st of February 2025. One of these includes 21354 Twilight: The Cullen House which is the focus of today's article. The latest 18+ LEGO model includes a total of 2,001 pieces retailing for $219.99 / €219.99 / £199.99 once it releases on the 1st of February 2025. Twilight: The Cullen House won the first review of 2023 alongside the already available 21353 The Botanical Garden. Just like that November 2024 model, 21354 is Minifigure based and therefore will include some brand new prints for some exlcusive characters in LEGO form. The original submission by LobsterThermidor included four Minifigures from the popular film series of Bella, Jacob, Edward and Calisle Cullen. However, the original submission also included exactly 2,995 pieces - almost 1,000 more than the official set - suggesting that plenty of design changes have been made and whether that affects the Minifigure lineup remains to be seen. The main build will obviously be a brick-built interpretation of the iconic three story “Hoke House” which was used as the Cullen family residence in the Twilight Saga films. Rumours suggest that 21354 may act as a LEGO Modular Building, with a fully enclosed build but removable floors just like the original submission. Pleny of outside scenery and details would also be included along with the unique architecture of mansion. Being a set based off both books and movies, we expect 21354 Twilight: The Cullen House to be packed full of details and references. Some of the many easter eggs included in the original idea included a brick-built werewolf, printed 1x1 tiles of each book cover, a baseball hat and glove for playing vampire baseball, a library-turned-infirmary and much more. 21354 Twilight: The Cullen House Set Name - Twilight: The Cullen House Set Number - 21354 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 2,001 Price - $219.99 / €219.99 / £199.99 Release Date - 1st February 2025 21354 Twilight: The Cullen House becomes the first LEGO Ideas set of 2025 releasing on the 1st of February but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 21354 in a few weeks time? Are you a fan of the Twilight books and movies? What other Twilight related LEGO set would you like to see in the future? The LEGO Disney theme was one of the first LEGO themes to have some of its 2025 lineup of sets officially revealed as two brand new sets celebrating the release of the second Moana film were officially unveiled. These two Moana 2 models were 43260 Moana's Island Fun and 43270 Moana’s Adventure Canoe which launch on the 1st of January 2025 alongside five more LEGO Disney branded sets that have now also been presented by LEGO. All seven of the January 2025 sets are based on Disney Princesses and are therefore all minidoll based rather than Minifigures which we mainly saw throughout 2023 when LEGO celebrated 100 years of Disney magic. Along with the Moana 2 characters of Moana, Moni and Loto that we officially saw in October, characters such as Anna, Ariel, Cinderella and many more also make a brick-built appearance this winter. 43256 Anna's Sleigh Adventure Our first set on this list is 43256 Anna's Sleigh Adventure which is aimed at the younger builders with a 4+ age rating. The main build of the set will be a brick-built recreation of the sleigh that Anna and Kristoff ride in the first film. Being a 4+ set, one large moulded piece will be used for the outline of the sleigh along with plenty of simpler, large pieces to make the build relatively uninteresting but extremely easy to build. For that price tag of $34.99 with 192 pieces, a small side build of a stable connected to a hot chocolate stand is also included. A brick-built sledging hill and sledge are also included along with plenty of food-related accessories such as a carrot, a chocolate bar, a candy can and a couple of hot chocolate mugs. Instead, the build is a very small and simplified version of the Arendelle Castle from the film Frozen with very little detail for its interior. Elsa and Anna minidolls are included along with Olaf the snowman. Set Name - Arendelle Frozen Castle Set Number - 43265 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 177 Price - $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 43270 Moana’s Adventure Canoe Our second LEGO Moana 2 set so far, with a buildable Hei Hei also reportedly in the works, is 43270 Moana’s Adventure Canoe. Regardless, a detailed version of Cinderella’s iconic castle, with turrets, a very small ballroom, bedrooms and ornate decorations is the main build of 43275. The carriage is also included in its royal design drawn by a white horse. Cinderella and Prince Charming are included as minidolls along with the animal figures of Lucifer and Gus. • LEGO Harry Potter January 2025 Sets Officially Revealed | Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, Malfoy Manor + More

Amongst the many LEGO reveals over the past week or so, we now have official pictures of the next wave of sets from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Like the last few years, the LEGO Harry Potter theme will continue to have two waves in a year: a winter and a summer one. 2025s winter LEGO Harry Potter wave will consist of a total of seven sets all releasing on the 1st of January 2025. 2024 introduced a brand new modular system for the LEGO Harry Potter system and this January 2025 will see a couple more additions. These include 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club, 76443 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class and 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons. The latter of the three is the most expensive at $79.99 for 651 pieces. The wave also features a brand new 18+ model of 76444 Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops, a brand new brick-built Knight Bus under the set number 76446 and our first iteration of Hagrid's Motrocyle in LEGO form with 76443. But the most exciting set of them all has to be 76453 Malfoy Manor which sees a prominent location from the Deathly Hallows appear in brick-built LEGO form for the very first time for $150. 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club Our first of three models adding to the biggest LEGO Hogwarts modular system yet is 76441 Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club. The set is based on the dueling club set up by Gilderoy Lockhart in the second film the Chamber of Secrets. 76441 is the smallest addition so far to the new Hogwarts Castle as it includes only 158 piece for a relatively high price of $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99. The high price-per-piece ratio is mainly because of the amount of Minifigures included in the January 2025 set. A total of four figures are included of Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape and Gilderoy Lockhart. The main build is the purple dueling platform which features steps on either side of it along with the snake that Harry conjures up and a small fireplace build. Set Name - Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club Set Number - 76441 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 158 Price - $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 76442 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class The Charms Class is the next addition to the LEGO Harry Potter modular Hogwarts system even if it's only a very small expansion with just 204 pieces retailing for $19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99. The buildable Hogwarts classroom is basically just a facade featuring a Wingardium Leviosa feather-levitation function, detachable desks for the students, a detachable chalkboard with spell instructions and a total of three Minifigures. Set Name - Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class Set Number - 76442 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 204 Price - $19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 76443 Hagrid & Harry’s Motorcycle Ride The strangest set of the wave has to be 76443 Hagrid & Harry’s Motorcycle Ride which incorporates Hagrid's Motorcycle into brick-built form for the very first time. However, the $50 set has recreated Hagrid's iconic vehicle in a much larger scale, also incorporating Hargid himself and Harry Potter. They both sit in Hagrid's Motorcycle that's coloured a light blue and fits both of the characters perfectly alongside a very simple, and unfortunately not very good-looking, buildable Hedwig. Set Name - Hagrid & Harry’s Motorcycle Ride Set Number - 76443 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 617 Price - $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 76444 Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops Rather than an expansion in Minifigure scale, 76444 Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops is exploring the microscale world, similar to 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds. Famous stores and their detailed micro interiors are included along with the builds centre piece of the Wizarding Bank Gringotts. All of this sits on a thin black base where 12 microfigures included in 76444 can also be displayed. Set Name - Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops Set Number - 76444 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 2,750 Price - $199.99 / €199.99 / £169.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 76446 Knight Bus Adventure 5 years ago since its last brick-built iteration, the Knight Bus returns in LEGO form under the set number 76446. 2025s 76446 Knight Bus Adventure is very similar to 2019s version with the main build being the triple-decker purple Knight Bus. Each decker can be attached to reveal a fairly detailed interior including moving beds and a swinging chandelier. A total of four Minifigures are included with Padfoot. Set Name - Knight Bus Adventure Set Number - 76446 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 499 Price - $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 Release Date - 1st March 2025 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons Our third and final LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts set of this wave is 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons. It is the most expensive of the three retailing for $79.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 with a total of 651 pieces. The Hogwarts building includes the Quidditch room, the Transfiguration classroom, Professor McGonagall’s office and the trophy room. And, obviously, plenty of quidditch accessories are included along with a total of six Minifigures. Set Name - Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons Set Number - 76447 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 651 Price - $79.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 76453 Malfoy Manor Last but not least we have 76453 Malfoy Manor which for 1,601 pieces retails for $149.99 / €149.99 / £129.99 from the 1st of January 2025. The set is mainly a faithful reproduction of the facade of the manor with a separate gate build with two small moulded gargoyle pieces also included. A few small rooms are included inside the manor including the dining room, the cellar where Harry and his friends are locked up, Malfoy's room, a kitchen and a toilet For $150, the set can't be complete without a stellar Minifigure lineup. A total of nine figures are included in 76453 Malfoy Manor of Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Dobby, Bellatrix Lestrange and Lord Voldemort. Set Name - Malfoy Manor Set Number - 76453 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 1,601 Price - $149.99 / €149.99 / £129.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 All seven of these LEGO Harry Potter sets release on the 1st of January 2025 but what do you think? • LEGO Marvel Spidey and His Amazing Friends January 2025 Sets Officially Revealed | 11198, 11199 + 11200

Since 2022 we've seen the annual release of some exciting, unique and play-heavy 4+ LEGO Marvel sets based on the popular Disney Junior series Spidey and His Amazing Friends. This tradition is continuing into 2025 as three brand-new sets have been officially revealed for a 1st of January 2025 release. All three are based on the third season of the show which launched earlier this year whilst it has also been confirmed that a fourth season has been renewed so expect plenty more LEGO Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets in the future. The third season did a crazy mash-up between dinosaurs and superheroes and now LEGO has recreated this fun into brick-built LEGO form. 11198 Spin and Electro Dinosaur Vehicle Chase Our first set is unsurprisingly also the cheapest of the wave with 11198 Spin and Electro Dinosaur Vehicle Chase retailing for $19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99. Its 124 pieces are used to recreate some small Minifigure scale dino-vehicles. Miles "Spin" Morales is included as a Minifigure in a stegosaurus car and Electro is also included in a dilophosaurus motorcycle. Set Name - Spin and Electro Dinosaur Vehicle Chase Set Number - 11198 Age Range - 4+ Piece Count - 124 Price - $19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 11199 Team Spidey Dino Crawler Rescue Another vehicle, somewhat similar to the large truck in 10791 Mobile Headquarters, is included in 11199 Spidey's Team Rescue Mission in the Dino Truck. This time it's a dinosaur-themed Spider-Man truck with four large blue wheels and a red Spidey-themed cockpit. Spidey and Miles "Spin" Morales are included as Minifigures along with Ghost-Spider as a pterodactyl and Rhino as a triceratops. Set Name - Team Spidey Dino Crawler Rescue Set Number - 11199 Age Range - 4+ Piece Count - 136 Price - $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 11200 Spidey and Gobby's Raptor Battle at Tree House HQ Last but not least we have 11200 Spidey and Gobby's Raptor Battle at Tree House HQ which retails for $54.99 / €54.99 / £49.99. Compared to the other two models, it does not have many more pieces at 143 but retails for a lot more. This is because the 4+ model includes three dinosaur moulds of Spidey-Rex, Gobby-Raptor and Dino-Spin along with two Minifigures of Trapster and Ghost-Spider. Together, all our characters battle it out in front of a small but simple treehouse build. Set Name - Spidey and Gobby's Raptor Battle at Tree House HQ Set Number - 11200 Age Range - 4+ Piece Count - 143 Price - $54.99 / €54.99 / £49.99 Release Date - 1st January 2025 All three of these LEGO Marvel Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets will be launching on the 1st of January 2025 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing any of these sets in a months time? What do you think of these Spidey and His Amazing Friends 4+ models? Are you a fan of the Disney Junior show?
