Sonic fans and retro gamers alike get ready to embrace your video game passion as the LEGO Group has officially revealed a brand new Gift With Purchase starting from next week: 40769 SEGA Genesis Controller. Once LEGO has finished celebrating Back to Hogwarts day, the latest LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog branded model will be available from the 8th to the 17th of September 2025 with any LEGO purchases over $130. With 260 pieces included, the GWP recreates the iconic three-button SEGA Genesis (also known as the SEGA Mega Drive in some parts of the world) in brick-built LEGO form. Just like previous LEGO consoles and controllers, including 72046 Game Boy, which releases in October, we are treated to an extremely detailed, display-worthy brick-built interpretation which measures over 3.5 inches (10 cm) high, 5.5 inches (15 cm) wide and 1 inch (3 cm) deep. The LEGO SEGA Mega Drive Controller includes the controller's main features such as the D-pad, its three circular buttons (A, B and C) and overall rounded shape. Being an 18+ model, a small red stand is included to display the controller along with interchangeable stickers letting fans choose between a full "SEGA Genesis" logo or a simpler "SEGA" branding. The coolest and most colourful feature of 40769, however, has to be the ability to open up the brick-built controller. Here, builders will be able to find a miniature Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone in a very similar fashion to 2022's 10306 Atari 2600. Even though LEGO were revealing plenty of Christmas-themed sets earlier this week, the festive season is still a few months away, and we have the spooky months of autumn to experience first. And to coincide with this year's Autumnal season and Halloween celebrations, the LEGO Group will be releasing a brand new Gift With Purchase of 40772 Celebration Series: 3. Luminous Ghost. The third Celebration Series set of the year includes 167 pieces and will be available with any LEGO purchases over $120 starting from the 28th of September 2025. This means that this year's Halloween promotional item has the same threshold as last year's 40697 Light Up Jack-o’-Lantern and will also be available for just over a week until the 7th of October 2025. Even if the threshold and promotional dates aren't the same, the two Halloween GWPs share similar builds. Whilst 2024's 40697 recreated a Jack-o'-Lantern complete with a light brick, 40772 includes another scary creature, which once again includes a LEGO light brick. In particular, the 8+ model recreates a luminous Ghost, completely white apart from grey chains attached to its thin arms and obviously its shining red eyes and mouth from the light brick. The brick-built ghost sits on some transparent elements attached to a grey base to create a hovering effect. The grey base also includes a brick-built pumpkin along with a black bat. The black bat is attached to the back of the luminous ghost with further transparent elements. Furthermore, the bat's wings can be moved to create a flapping movement, and so can the transparent rod for further display and play. 40772 Celebration Series: 3. The festive reveals just keep on coming as alongside 10361 Holiday Express Train , the LEGO Group have also officially presented 41843 Family Christmas Tree Decoration. The latest LEGO Family  set is the sixth and final LEGO Christmas-themed model releasing on the 1st of October 2025, but we can expect to see plenty of promotional items and GWPs even closer to the holiday season in the coming months... The officially revealed 9+ model is another very expensive set releasing this year with a total of 3,171 pieces retailing for $329.99 / €299.99 / £269.99. 41843 is easily the biggest brick-built Christmas Tree yet and is way, way larger than the most recent LEGO Christmas Tree of 2023's 40573 Christmas Tree. 2025's LEGO Family  set instead obviously focuses on all members of the family taking part in the build, collecting new and expressive Minifigures and being able to customise the model in multiple ways. The brick-built Christmas Tree unsupririsnlgy has a thick, reddish brown wooden base where a tiny LEGO train can be found. The train is only microscale but does include a small microscale track and scenery to create a miniature brick-built world in the base of the large tree. Here we can also find two knobs which can be turned to make the mini train move and change the time on the kitchen clock found further on in the October 2025 build. The rest of the tree is unsurprisingly extremely detailed and packed full of colourful features and accurate brick-built representations. Plenty of large new LEGO leaf pieces in dark green are utilised, which have baubles coloured red and orange connected to them. The tree can then be opened up from multiple angles to reveal a playful and Minifigure-scale interior. It's basically like a family home in a Christmas tree, complete with a kitchen, Santa's workshop, a canteen, and a relaxation area that altogether expands across two levels. Besides the Family Christmas Tree itself, 41843 also includes a small sleigh and reindeer along with seven LEGO Minifigures . These include Santa Claus, Mrs Claus and five unique elves, each with their own theme. One elf with a knight helmet and a new festive shield, another with a green space helmet, an air tank and a space logo sweater. With it being just under 10 years since our last Winter Village locomotive, the LEGO Group are releasing a brand new festive-themed LEGO train as 2025's LEGO Icons Winter Village model. In particular, this year's LEGO Winter Village set is 10361 Winter Village: Winter Express Train, which once again releases at the start of October. However, the Christmas build that awaits includes 956 pieces but retails for a much higher price than previous years at $129.99 / €TBC / £TBC. That $130 price tag is a 30% increase and a significant jump from the consistent $99.99 pricing seen in all LEGO Winter Village sets since 2018's 10263 Winter Village Fire Station. This even includes both 10325 Alpine Lodge  and 10339 Santa's Post Office , which included 1,517 and 1,440 pieces, respectively. This price increase suggests that not only will the Winter Express Train include a range of LEGO track pieces alongside the main build of the locomotive, but also possibly LEGO Powered Up elements and controls to operate a fully functional LEGO train. The Winter Village Winter Express Train itself, however, will likely be a charming, nostalgic steam locomotive, somewhat similar to 2016's 10254 Winter Holiday Train but more detailed and larger in size. We can expect a classic steam engine in Christmas-themed green and red with further gold detailing alongside a coal tender and two festive passenger carriages adorned with wreaths, garlands, and snowy roof elements, for example. Whilst 10254 Winter Holiday Train focused more on delivering a large Christmas tree and presents via railroad, 2025's 10361 is more likely to give our ever-festive Minifigures a ride through the winter snow. The LEGO Speed Champions theme has had a busy year, with March alone featuring the release of a total of 10 Formula 1-inspired sets. In 2026, however, the theme will move away from F1 and return to its usual mix of branded cars along with even more movie cars. As we get ever closer to the end of September we also get ever closer to a brand new month - the spookiest month of all 12, October. The latest Halloween set available for 2024s Halloween is a brand new spooky Gift With Purchase of 40697 Light Up Jack-o’-Lantern. The LEGO Creator branded GWP launches on the 1st of October 2024 and will most likely last for around two weeks in stores and online for any purchases over a rumoured $120 threshold. For many brick builders, 40697 Light Up Jack-o’-Lantern will seem like many LEGO Halloween GWPs from previous years but in fact, 40697 includes a light brick - a highly valued piece in any LEGO set but particularly a promotional item such as this one. The light brick will be included inside the brick-built orange pumpkin which has to be one of the most detailed and beautifully built LEGO pumpkins to date. The orange pumpkin complete with spooky and sinister eyes, mouth and nose sits on a patch of green grass. The grass isn't very detailed and is mainly made up of a couple of small plates. However, to the model's left sits some autumnal-coloured leaves alongside a simple yet terrifying brick-built white ghost. He, like the pumpkin, includes a sinister-looking face even though it's created using only a couple of simple pieces. Another great element of the set, along with our first-ever light-up LEGO pumpkin, is the ability to customize both the pumpkin and the ghost. The carved sinister face of the pumpkin can be easily swapped out for another, more friendly and less spooky-looking, brick-built face. Whilst recent rumours regarding 75419 UCS Death Star have taken on an interesting twist with only a half sphere build now included in the latest LEGO Star Wars UCS set, the 18+ set will, regardless, be getting an exclusive GWP. This promotional item, in particular, is 40771 TIE Fighter, which is available starting from the 1st of October 2025, but only with purchases of the $1,000 brick-built Death Star. With only 236 pieces included, 40771 will be one of our smallest LEGO TIE Fighters yet, almost 200 pieces fewer than 2021's 75300 Imperial TIE Fighter, yet still larger than the Microfighter interpretation of the Galactic Empire starfighter. This suggests the promotional item, similar to previous LEGO Star Wars GWPs, has nothing to do with the build or scale of 75419 UCS Death Star . Instead, 40771 is likely a micro- or midi-scale rendition of the iconic Imperial TIE Fighter, following on from previous LEGO Star Wars mid-scale ships we've seen in 2025. These models emphasise display over play, recreating some of the ship's most iconic features in a more compact form. What is confirmed, regardless of the build and scale of the TIE Fighter, is the inclusion of three Minifigures. The most iconic have been 2008's 10188 Death Star and 75159 Death Star which was released just under a decade ago in 2016. Both models were large playsets with around 4,000 pieces and over 20 new and returning Minifigures. However, 75419 represents a major step up. With over double the piece count and nearly twice the Minifigures, this October’s UCS set is the most ambitious Death Star LEGO has ever attempted, aimed exclusively at adults and collectors. This brand new 2025 model also captures a new diorama-like approach compared to the previous iterations, which were designed as “dollhouse-style” builds with open interiors. Exterior Build Unlike previous versions of the Death Star, this new UCS version is not a complete sphere. Instead, it is a large-scale diorama built in the shape of a half-sphere cross-section. This design allows the set to show both the exterior of the Death Star and the highly detailed and action-packed interior. The closed outer side features a textured grey surface and the station's iconic superlaser dish, while the open interior side will act as a cutaway diorama showcasing some of the major scenes from the original trilogy. With its long and narrow shape, the brick-built half sphere can sit flat against a wall or on a shelf, with one side showing the Death Star’s battle station exterior and the other side fully open to the Minifigure-friendly interior. All of these locations are likely laid out in layers/stacked sections, similar to a dollhouse and previous LEGO Death Star iterations such as 75159 Death Star. Each section, packed with details including control panels, weapons racks, railings, screens, and small brick-built props, are then built into the spherical structure of the giant brick-built Death Star. Since the 18+ model utilises this open cutaway design, we are also able to see each room without having to open or remove any panels. Overall, the model is expected to measure around 70 cm in height, 79 cm in length and 27 cm in width. The suggested long and narrow shape of the brick-built half sphere suggests that the set can sit flat against a wall or on a shelf, with one side showing the Death Star's battle station exterior and the other side fully open to the Minifigure-friendly interior. The interior itself is likely to include multiple iconic locations from both Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. These could include the Emperor's throne room, the detention block and prison cells where Leia was rescued, the trash compactor with its signature closing walls and the main control room. Here we'll likely find the laser firing system and large displays, and there may also be a small TIE Fighter bay to go alongside the rumoured TIE Fighter GWP for 75419 UCS Death Star. All of these locations are likely to be laid out in layers or stacked sections, similar to a dollhouse and previous LEGO Death Star iterations such as 75159 Death Star. Each section, packed with details, including control panels, weapons racks, railings, screens and small brick-built props, will then be built into the spherical structure of the giant brick-built Death Star. Since the 18+ model utilises this open cutaway design, we'll also likely be able to see each room without having to open or remove any panels. Another exciting aspect of 75419 UCS Death Star is its huge Minifigure lineup - the most figures to appear in a single LEGO set ever! A total of 38 characters are rumoured to be included, with three different versions of Luke Skywalker and two versions of Han Solo amongst these. There's also Chewbacca, Princess Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine and Grand Moff Tarkin. However, the UCS model not only includes characters from the original trilogy but also Orson Krennic and Galen Erso from Rogue One. 75419 also includes further, less well-known and more unique characters such as Wulff Yularen, Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Imperial Dignitary, a Stormtrooper, a Hot Tub Stormtrooper, Imperial Royal Guard, Imperial Shuttle Pilot, Imperial Crew Member, Death Star Gunner and 5D6-RA-7 (the silver protocol droid seen briefly on the Death Star). A further 13 Minifigures are still unknown and will make up the rest of the 18+ model, which includes a total of 9,019 pieces. We imagine a stand will be included alongside the main Death Star build to easily display all of the 38 characters. The LEGO Group has officially revealed the next entry to the fan-inspired LEGO Ideas theme, bringing an '80s cult classic to life in brick-built form. 21361 Gremlins: Gizmo releases on the 1st of October 2025 and includes a total of 1,135 pieces retailing for $109.99 / €99.99  / £89.99. This marks the eighth LEGO Ideas set of the year, following the likes of 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory , and celebrates one of cinema’s most lovable creatures. 21361 Gremlins: Gizmo is based on the winning entry of the LEGO Ideas “If We Could Turn Back Time” challenge, where fan designer terauma’s original creation took the top prize. While the original submission included around 400 pieces, LEGO’s design team has transformed the concept into a far more detailed 1,125-piece model. The result is a detailed display-worthy version of Gizmo that captures the playful charm of the Mogwai with clever techniques, play features and expressive details. The official build stands approximately 20 cm tall and showcases Gizmo’s most iconic features: oversized ears, expressive brick-built eyes, and an adorably oversized head that matches his on-screen proportions. The 18+ display set also includes movable features, with poseable arms and fingers, head rotation, and flexible ears. LEGO and geology fans may have a new gem to look forward to starting from the 1st of October 2025, with the release of the latest LEGO Ideas model. In particular, this is 21362 Minerals Display, which releases alongside the previously rumoured 18+ set of 21361 Gremlins: Gizmo . 21362 will be the cheapest set of 2025 for the theme, with 880 pieces retailing for just $59.99 / €59.99  / £54.99. Officially approved in November 2024, Minerals Display is essentially a refined, museum-style showcase featuring six entirely brick-built mineral specimens arranged on a dark brown modular shelving frame. The display is then divided into three vertical sections, each topped and accented with small golden corner plates to give further design elements and details to the structure. The shelves are open on all sides, allowing plenty of displayability to capture the unique mineral builds utilising multiple transparent and metallic elements. The modular display frame is the element of the original submission by DDF72 that will likely change the most in the final, official design. The LEGO designers will likely redesign the entire display unit, possibly getting rid of it altogether and placing the various minerals on a simple black display stand like those seen in the LEGO BrickHeadz theme. The six intricately designed mineral specimens will, however, likely remain in the final set, becoming the centrepiece of the 18+ model. These minerals include: Pyrite - A geometric cluster of metallic gold cubes. Amethyst Geode - An oval tan layer surrounding various transparent elements of white and purple to mimic sparkling crystal formations. Emerald - Built into a white and grey rock face with various transparent green pieces. Orange Quartz - A tall cluster of transparent orange columns emerging from a jagged white base. Rhodochrosite - Various-sized pink/red transparent cubes surrounding small white transparent elements on a simple black base. Another nostalgic treat is reportedly on the way for Sonic fans and retro gamers alike, as 40769 SEGA Mega Drive Controller is rumoured to be available as a Gift With Purchase starting from next month. Once LEGO has celebrated Back to Hogwarts day, the latest LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog branded model will be available from the 8th to the 17th of September 2025 with any LEGO purchases over $130. With 260 pieces included, the GWP recreates the iconic three-button SEGA Mega Drive (also known as the Genesis in North America) in brick-built LEGO form. Just like previous LEGO controllers, including 72046 Game Boy, which releases in October, we can expect an extremely detailed, display-worthy brick-built interpretation which reportedly measures around 15 x 10 cm. The LEGO SEGA Mega Drive Controller includes the controller's main features such as the D-pad, its three circular buttons (A, B and C) and overall rounded shape.
