- LEGO NINJAGO 71867 X-1 Ninja Charger 15th Anniversary Officially Revealed | June 2026
We are well into LEGO NINJAGO's 15th anniversary celebrations, but the LEGO Group have revealed the final set directly tied to this incredible milestone for the unlicensed LEGO theme, along with the final exclusive anniversary LEGO Minifigure. In particular, 71867 X-1 Ninja Charger 15th Anniversary has been officially presented ahead of its release on the 1st of June 2026. The 14+ model includes a total of 691 pieces retailing for $89.99 / €79.99 / £69.99. The build remakes the original version of the X-1 Ninja Charger belonging to the ninja Kai, based on 70727 X-1 Ninja Charger, which was released back in 2014. The 2026 model includes almost 200 more pieces to recreate the vehicle in a classic Kai red colour scheme, along with hints of black and stickers with fire decals. Compared to both the 2014 version and more recently 2021's 71737 X-1 Ninja Charger, the redesign takes a bold approach more similar to the likes of Formula 1 cars seen in the LEGO Speed Champions theme, with a large, racey rear wing and exposed wheels. The X-1 Ninja Charger also includes an enclosed cockpit alongside the classic motorcycle launching feature. A total of three LEGO Minifigures are included in the 14+ model: Kai, the villainous General Cryptor and, for the first time, the Elemental Master of Shadow on a stand with a celebration coin. Each of the LEGO NINJAGO characters comes with a sword accessory, while the ninja Kai has an extra sword that can be attached to the car and the motorcycle, which also comes in a mainly red colour scheme. 71867 X-1 Ninja Charger 15th Anniversary Set Name - X-1 Ninja Charger 15th Anniversary Set Number - 71867 Age Range - 14+ Piece Count - 691 Price - $89.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 Release Date - 1st June 2026 71867 X-1 Ninja Charger 15th Anniversary releases on the 1st of June 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO NINJAGO 71861 The Old Town 15th Anniversary Officially Revealed | January 2026
The final LEGO NINJAGO set for January 2026 has been officially revealed, and it's well worth the wait, as the biggest and most expensive model of the year for the theme. In particular, this is 71861 The Old Town 15th Anniversary, which is unsurprisingly heavily celebrating 15 years of the ninja-themed line of LEGO sets. The 14+ model includes a total of 4,851 pieces retailing for an incredible price of just $309.99 / €309.99 / £279.99. The Old Town appears as a comprehensive city model that incorporates various elements from the LEGO NINJAGO animated TV series, including some of the older iconic episodes and the more recent Dragon Rising series. The town is basically an almost circular, enclosed city wall which includes four module sections. Each section includes numerous buildings and several play features and smaller details. The stone structure of the build is reminiscent of early monasteries, with sloped roofs, heavy wooden beams and layered stonework forming the majority of its architecture. Cherry blossom trees grow around the exterior, along with small structures around the main town wall, such as a tea cart and a woodshop. The four previously mentioned modules include a front gate, a post office and workshop, a three-story tower and a lookout. Across these sections, there are even further builds and play features, including a working crane, a zipline, a collapsible wall and several secret rooms which only become visible during construction. All four modules can be displayed in a circle, in a line or completely separate. The Minifigure lineup is extremely substantial, covering characters from across NINJAGO history. The set includes 23 Minifigures altogether: Young Wu, Young Garmadon, and The First Spinjitzu Master (all celebrating the 15th anniversary); Faith, Mystake, Krux, Acronix, Garmadon, Ed, Wu, Dr. Julien, Harumi, Jay, Zane, Nya, Cole, Lloyd, and Kai. The 14+ model also includes a postman, a travel agent from the administration, a thief and two Loyalists, including their leader. Several LEGO Minifigures include unique design notes: the First Spinjitzu Master has silver robe detailing, a dark yellow belt, and a face based on The Spinjitzu Brothers book. Zane uses a yellow head, not a titanium one, and includes a falcon designed in the style of the classic LEGO parrot mould. Lloyd has gold armour components, and Jay includes a glider and helmet as additional accessories. Altogether, 71861 The Old Town is the perfect tribute to the heritage of NINJAGO. It's an ancient, stone-built, peaceful settlement packed with cherry blossom scenery and smaller traditional shops, alongside a remarkably diverse cast of characters spanning multiple eras of the story. The set is available from the 1st of January, along with 10 more LEGO NINJAGO sets, which you can read about here: https://www.bricksup.co.uk/post/lego-ninjago-january-2026-sets-officially-revealed 71861 The Old Town 15th Anniversary Set Name - The Old Town 15th Anniversary Set Number - 71861 Age Range - 14+ Piece Count - 4,851 Price - $299.99 / €299.99 / £269.99 Release Date - 1st January 2026 71861 The Old Town 15th Anniversary releases on the 1st of January 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO Ideas 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse Officially Revealed | June 2026
A third LEGO Ideas reveal in just as many weeks as the LEGO Group have officially presented the latest model for the fan-inspired theme, which introduces Snoopy into the brick-built LEGO world for the very first time. In particular, 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse marks the first Peanuts-branded LEGO set once it releases on the 1st of June 2026 for $89.99 / €79.99 / £69.99. This 964-piece model is the perfect tribute to Charles M. Schulz's iconic Peanuts comic strip, recreating brick-built versions of Snoopy and Woodstock hanging out on Snoopy's iconic red doghouse. The brick-built LEGO Snoopy has been built to perfection, featuring his minimalist yet still highly expressive face. The roundness of the face has been captured incredibly well alongside his simple black nose, ears and printed eyes. The rest of the build of Snoopy continues this simple yet perfect design with the comic strip dog being coloured almost entirely white apart from the previously mentioned details on the figure's face. LEGO Snoopy is also a 3-in-1 model as he comes with two alternative leg builds that can be easily swapped in and out to have him standing, lying down or sitting upright. Snoopy's much smaller and more colourful sidekick, Woodstock, is also included, appropriately built much smaller than the white and black dog. Both characters can be used to recreate two iconic scenes from the comic strip's 75-year history. The first is Snoopy and Woodstock lying on top of Snoopy's red doghouse stargazing, while the other is the two brick-built figures toasting marshmallows together on an open campfire under a starry sky. The two scenes take place on a simple comic book-like green grass base and make the perfect display and play scene for fans of LEGO and Snoopy. 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse Set Name - Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse Set Number - 21368 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 964 Price - $89.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 Release Date - 1st June 2026 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse releases on the 1st of June 2026, but what do you think? - Mattel Brick Shop Announces Hot Wheels '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 | Summer 2026
Following the massive news from the Nuremberg International Toy Fair last month, Mattel has officially revealed the first model as part of its expanded product line with three well-known automotive brands of Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Toyota. In particular, the Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheel Elite Series Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is set to race onto shelves as early as this summer, bringing one of modern GT racing's most iconic machines to brick-built form. As we've seen with previous Mattel Brick Shop releases, this isn't just a standard plastic construction set. Mattel is doubling down on its "model kit" philosophy to differentiate itself from the brick-built cars seen in the LEGO Speed Champions and LEGO Technic line of sets. By incorporating real metal parts into the 793-piece build, Mattel is providing a more authentic weight and texture for the vehicle that standard LEGO bricks struggle to replicate. The Vantage GT3 is designed at a 1:16 scale, much smaller than the Technic 1:8 supercars such as 2024's 42172 McLaren P1 , yet also more detailed and larger to display than the eight-stud-wide LEGO Speed Champions models. The 2026 set also stays true to Mattel Brick Shop's focus on modding and customisation as builders can choose between a clean factory configuration or a track-ready setup featuring aggressive splitters, diffusers and an oversized rear spoiler. The LEGO Group have worked with the Aston Martin brand many times before. In fact, the Danes have already recreated the Vantage GT3 back in 2022 with 76910 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 . LEGO opted for a grey and electric green livery for the Aston, unlike Mattel Brick Shop , which has chosen the classic British racing green. This colour has often been a sticking point for LEGO, with a good example of this miscolouring being 77245 Aston Martin Aramco F1 AMR24 Race Car . Another exciting feature, alongside the brick-built racing car with a working steering wheel and opening doors, is the inclusion of an exclusive 1:64 scale Hot Wheels die-cast of the Vantage GT3. Mattel are once again leaning heavily into its Hot Wheels heritage and making the Aston Martin-branded building set a collector's item. A signature metal display set also completes the 10+ model, which retails for $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99. Hot Wheels '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Building Set Set Name - Hot Wheels '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Building Set Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 780 Price - $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 Release Date - Summer 2026 (exact release date TBC) Another new model is coming to the Mattel Brick Shop as part of its aggressive strategy to target some of LEGO's many loyal fans, but what do you think? Will you be purchasing the Hot Wheels '24 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Building Set this summer? Does the inclusion of metal parts make you more likely to switch? How do you feel about the $49.99 price point for a 793-piece set? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
- Mattel Brick Shop Expands Hot Wheels Line with Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Toyota
Mattel has officially announced a major expansion to its Mattel Brick Shop lineup, adding three well-known automotive brands of Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Toyota to its growing collection of brick-built Hot Wheels vehicles. Announced at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair, the expansion signifies Mattel's intent to capture the "Kidult" market that LEGO has continued to dominate for years. Unlike standard plastic-only builds, Mattel is leaning into its Hot Wheels heritage to offer some distinctive features which LEGO currently doesn't. For example, Mattel Brick Shop incorporates real metal parts into its sets for a more authentic automotive feel. The Brick Shop also heavily focuses on customisability and modding stock cars into custom builds so that each vehicle is a showcase-worthy model. "Mattel Brick Shop was created to provide adult collectors and automotive enthusiasts a unique way to engage with their favourite vehicles through immersive, hands-on building and collecting", said Ted Wu, Global Head of Vehicles and Building Sets at Mattel. "With Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Toyota joining the lineup, we’re continuing to expand the Mattel Brick Shop garage to include some of the most iconic names in automotive design and history in a tailored and reimagined way." Previous collaborations have included models from Audi , Mercedes-Benz , Chevrolet and Honda , with three more automakers with unique heritage, identity and design language now joining the lineup in 2026. While specific models and pricing have not yet been revealed, the sets will be available globally through major retailers such as Amazon , Smyths, The Entertainer and directly via Mattel Creations . This move feels like a direct response to LEGO's selection of brick-built licensed cars in both the LEGO Speed Champions and LEGO Technic themes. By integrating metal parts and the Hot Wheels branding, Mattel is betting that adult fans want something that feels less like a "toy" and more like a "model kit". Overall, Mattel securing these licenses for more brick-based products suggests much more aggressive competition for shelf space in 2026. Mattel Brick Shop expands its product line in 2026 with Hot Wheels vehicles inspired by Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Toyota, but what do you think? Will these three iconic brands further increase the popularity of Mattel Brick Shop ? Do you own any of the previous Mattel Brick Shop sets? What other Hot Wheels models would you like to see in 2026 and beyond? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

- LEGO 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel Officially Revealed | March 2026
While the LEGO Group may take the top spot as Denmark's most well-known business, another global organisation has continued to make waves ever since its establishment in 1904. In particular, this is the Copenhagen-based firm Maersk, which returns to brick-built LEGO form after a 12-year hiatus. 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel releases on the 1st of March 2026, including a total of 1,516 pieces retailing for $149.99 / €149.99 / £139.99. Maersk is the world's largest shipping container and logistics company, transporting nearly one in five of the world's seaborne containers. Being such a large and globally known business, it's no surprise the two Danes are reuniting for the first time since 2014's LEGO Creator 3-in-1 10241 Maersk Line Triple-E . 2026's model recreates the pioneering Ane Maersk in brick-built LEGO form as the perfect display model. A ship known for leading the charge for sustainable shipping is recreated in microscale, measuring over 7 inches (18 cm) high, 23.5 inches (60 cm) long and 4.5 inches (12 cm) wide. The mainly light blue, burgandy and white vessel sits in a standard black display stand with a printed name and information plate for the Maersk LEGO ship. 40955 may be a very repetitive build with plenty of brick-built grey ship containers with Maersk printing, but it is still packed with details and functions. For example, the container ship has an opening bridge section with crew quarters and transparent engine-room windows. There are also slide-out gangways on each side to bring the first-ever low-emissions, dual-fuel vessel to brick-built life. 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel Set Name - Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel Set Number - 40955 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - 1,516 Price - $149.99 / €149.99 / £139.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel releases on the 1st of March 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure Officially Revealed | March 2026
Following a handful of releases last year, the LEGO Up-Scaled Minifigure line of sets returns in 2026 with a giant leap for brick-built characters. The LEGO Group have officially revealed the latest addition to the collection, taking us back to the golden age of LEGO Space with 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure, launching on the 1st of March 2026. Retailing for $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99, the 793 - piece model is a natural successor to the limited Gift With Purchase of 2025's 40767 Up-Scaled Baby Astronaut . Just like the previous Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure builds, 40921 measures around 27 cm high, accurately capturing the legs, torso, arms and head of regular Minifigures but at this larger scale. This time, however, it is the iconic Classic Space Blue Astronaut who's recreated as an Up-Scaled Minifigure. The figure is obviously almost completely blue from the legs to the torso and the signature space helmet around the yellow brick-built Minifigure head with the standard Minifigure smile. A printed Classic Space logo will be found on the figure's torso, similar to last year's 40819 Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure . However, the biggest difference between 40921 and all the previous LEGO Up-Scaled Minifigures is the inclusion of the iconic twin oxygen tank attached to the brick-built character's back. The helmet can also be opened to reveal a small interior designed like a cockpit where a Minifigure-scale brick-built robot can be placed. 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure Set Name - Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure Set Number - 40921 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 793 Price - $59.99 / €59.99 / £54.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 40921 Up-Scaled Blue Astronaut Minifigure releases on the 1st of March 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO, LEGO Foundation & TED Launch Play@TED Global Initiative
The LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation have partnered with TED to launch Play@TED, a new global initiative designed to reshape how people of all ages think about play. The collaboration aims to spark a worldwide movement that places creative play at the centre of learning, innovation and community. The partnership between LEGO and TED is supported by a grant from the LEGO Foundation in support of the United Nations International Day of Play on the 11th of June 2026. The LEGO Group often celebrate this occasion, releasing a range of International Day of Play Gift With Purchases and highlighting how the international toy brand supports play and the development of young minds through everything they do. And 2026 will be no different as the Danes collaborate with the nonprofit, nonpartisan organisation TED. Having begun in 1984, TED is dedicated to discovering, debating and spreading ideas that spark conversation, deepen understanding and drive meaningful change. The organisation is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge - exactly what LEGO encourage with every single child that engages with a LEGO brick. At the heart of the initiative between the two organisations is a major live event named Play@TED. This in-person event will be held at the TED World Theatre in New York City on the 14th of May 2026, aimed at parents, educators and policy-makers, discussing the role and impact of creative play. The day will be centred on the transformative power of play, play as a mindset for all ages and how imagination can unlock new possibilities. Confirmed speakers include Katina Bajaj, Creative Health Scientist and co-founder of Daydreamers, Randi Williams, an AI and education researcher at the MIT Media Lab's Personal Robots group, and Maxwell Pearce of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. Each speaker will bring a different and unique perspective on how play supports creativity, confidence and collaboration, both in childhood and beyond. In the lead-up to the live event, more than 300 students aged 8 to 18 from 27 countries participated in a virtual Connect Week hosted by TED Ed, the LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation. During this week, students reflected on playful experiences that helped develop real-world skills like problem-solving, teamwork and resilience. Their contributions will shape the Play@TED conversation and highlight the importance of play in the growth of young people. And following the event, TED Ed will launch an Action Hub on its education platform to help parents, policy-makers, and communities turn ideas into action. A dedicated Learning Lab will provide educators with resources, discussion points, quizzes and curricula aimed to make it easier for schools to embed playful learning into existing teaching frameworks. - LEGO Art 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies Officially Revealed | March 2026
In a flurry of reveals, the LEGO Group have officially presented the second LEGO Art-branded set of 2026, following on from the already available 31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape . In particular, on the 1st of March 2026, 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies will be available for LEGO Insiders, followed by a general release on the 4th of March. The latest LEGO 18+ model will retail for $249.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 with a total of 3,179 pieces included. Designed in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York , 31220 recreates Claude Monet's Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies painting, part of the Water Lilies series, which consists of about 250 impressionist paintings. It joins the likes of 31213 Mona Lisa and 31215 Vincent van Gogh - Sunflowers , which recreate some of the most iconic pieces of artwork ever seen in brick-built LEGO form. 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies will even be on display and readily available from the The Metropolitan Museum of Art itself from the 1st of March 2026. Here, art and brick enthusiasts will be able to get a glimpse of the extremely detailed and unique LEGO display piece, which focuses on capturing the soft, impressionistic colours seen in the original painting by the French artist. A variety of blues, greens, purples and pinks were originally used to represent the water, lily pads and subtle reflections, and these bright and unique colours return in the brick-built LEGO version revealed today. However, the clever LEGO designers have captured these colours, and the unique details of the original painting, using LEGO butterfly, flower and fruit elements to reflect Monet's love of the natural world. The bridge is arguably the main focal point of the LEGO Art set and is captured in a range of blue tones. But even more clever uses of the brick can be found elsewhere, as the diagonal stroke of light, which is so prominent in the original painting, has been carefully recreated using lighter elements running from the top right to the bottom left. LEGO have further stayed true to the original by placing more lilies on the right than on the left, referencing Monet's embrace of nature's irregularities. 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies Set Name - Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies Set Number - 31220 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,179 Price - $249.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 31220 Claude Monet – Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies releases on the 1st March 2026, but what do you think? - LEGO Art 31220 Monet's Water Lilies Rumoured For March 2026
The LEGO Art theme recreates another classic and iconic piece of artwork in 2026, following on from the likes of 31213 Mona Lisa and 31215 Vincent van Gogh - Sunflowers . In particular, on the 1st of March 2026, 31220 Monet's Water Lilies will be our second LEGO Art set of 2026 after this month's 31218 Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape . The 18+ model includes a total of 3,179 pieces with a reported price tag of $249.99 / €199.99 / £179.99. The set itself will be based on Claude Monet's Water Lilies series, which consists of about 250 impressionist paintings. Exactly which painting will be replicated in brick-built form is unknown, but the abstract artwork will likely use LEGO Art 's familiar mosaic style system, where small tiles and studs cover a large baseplate that can be hung up to be displayed like an exact replicate of Claude Monet's work. 31220 will likely focus on capturing the soft, impressionistic colours seen in the original series by the French artist. A variety of blues, greens, purples and pinks were originally used to represent the water, lily pads and subtle reflections, and these bright and unique colours should return in the brick-built LEGO version. The mix of colours and lighter and darker tones to create reflections will be of particular interest in this LEGO Art set once it's revealed in the coming weeks and eventually released on the 1st of March 2026. 31220 Monet's Water Lilies Set Name - Monet's Water Lilies Set Number - 31220 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 3,179 Price - $249.99 / €199.99 / £179.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 31220 Monet's Water Lilies releases on the 1st March 2026, but what do you think? - First Leaked Images of LEGO Technic 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car | March 2026
While this week has been packed with March LEGO reveals, the LEGO Group have also accidentally shown us our first look at another March 2026 set ahead of its official presentation very soon. In particular, the first leaked images of 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car have been found as the Danish toy manufacturers mixed up set images of 2025's 77251 McLaren F1 Team MCL38 Race Car with this year's LEGO Technic model. Just like previous LEGO Technic Formula 1 sets, 42228 recreates the McLaren F1 team's car in a brick-built 1:8 scale, retailing for $229.99 / €229.99 / £199.99 and includes 1,675 pieces. Last year saw the release of both 42207 Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car and 42206 Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car , but 42228 returns to the papaya coloured McLaren Formula 1 team ahead of another regulation cycle. The 1st of March 2026 model focuses on last year's World Drivers and Constructors Championship-winning car: the MCL39. It cleverly captures the aerodynamic body of Formula 1 cars in brick-built LEGO form, including a sculpted nose, front and rear wings, sidepods and a detailed engine cover. Underneath the engine cover, builders will be able to find a Mercedes V6 engine complete with moving pistons and a two-speed gearbox. The iconic papaya colour associated with McLaren features heavily on the car, along with plenty of black to complement the primary colour and the constructors' champions' many sponsors such as Google Chrome, Mastercard and OKX. The build is also complete with Pirelli-branded hard tyres, functional steering using a knob on top of the steering wheel in the detailed cockpit area and an adjustable flap on the rear wing for DRS. 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car Set Name - McLaren MCL39 F1 Car Set Number - 42228 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,675 Price - $229.99 / €229.99 / £199.99 Release Date - 1st March 2026 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car releases on the 1st of March 2026, but what do you think?
