Along with six sets reportedly releasing in January, the LEGO Technic line will also be releasing another five models just two months later, on the 1st of March 2025. Just like the themes' first wave of 2026, its second wave will once again include a broad mix of sets, catering to all ages. There's another entry-level model of 42225 Yellow Motorcycle, along with two sets retailing at a much higher price point, branded for the oldest of builders...


42223 1966 Ford GT40 MKII Race Car

The first of two LEGO Technic 18+ sets on this list is 42223 1966 Ford GT40 MKII Race Car. Retailing for $74.99 / €74.99 / £64.99, the model recreates the classic 1966 Ford GT40 MKII race car in brick-built form, featuring a low aerodynamic body with smooth lines and racing decals. The endurance race car will include a total of 793 pieces featuring plenty of authentic Technic mechanisms to create a realistic display piece.

Another race car is taking centre stage in this March 2026 wave, this time focusing on a modern touring car of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. The 9+ model, coming under the set number 42225, includes a total of 747 pieces retailing for $64.99 / €64.99 / £59.99. The build will likely include moving wheels, functional steering and plenty of realistic details like aerodynamic parts and sponsor logos on the BMW vehicle.

Compared to 42223 1966 Ford GT40 MKII Race Car, it is much larger in terms of pieces, with 1,675 included, and retails for a substantially higher price of $229.99 / €229.99 / £199.99.
