One of the biggest LEGO Star Wars sets of the year is here as 75371 Chewbacca Buildable Figure has leaked online thanks to a retailer. The 18+ set is a giant brick built version of our favourite wookie Chewie. A total of 2,319 pieces are included to make the large LEGO Chewbacca which will retail for $199.99. The set releases on 1st September but with this leaked image already showing up we expect an official reveal very soon...
The LEGO Star Wars D2C of Buildable Chewbacca is an entire model of Chewbacca made entirely of LEGO bricks. Unlike the poorly received 76215 Black Panther, it is not a bust and instead includes the whole of Chewie's body from his hairy legs to his cute quite scary-looking brick-built face. This does mean that a lot of reddish-brown and dark-brown pieces are included in different forms.
Chewie also comes with his iconic ammunition belt constructed of numerous joints and wrapped around his torso. The crossbow is also included in this brick built model, which has a detailed sight and the black bullets at the ends. This is the only real striking element of the set with the rest of the build being that brown to make up Chewie's very furry body.
All of this brick-built version of Chewbacca sits on a stand similar to 71411 Mighty Bowser from the LEGO Super Mario theme. The stand is an octagonal black base which is five studs high and partially tiled. This makes the set, which includes a single Minifigure of Chewbaac himself, stand at 46 cm tall along with the black base and the nameplate included on this base.
