LEGO Star Wars 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack GWP Officially Revealed | 1st October 2025

Alongside the official presentation of LEGO's first $1,000 set of 75419 Death Star, the Danes have now also presented the 18+ models corresponding Gift With Purchase. This promotional item, in particular, is 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack, which is available from the 1st until the 7th of October 2025, but only with purchases of the brand new Ultimate Collectors Edition Death Star.

With only 236 pieces included, 40771 includes one of our smallest LEGO TIE Fighters yet, almost 200 pieces fewer than 2021's 75300 Imperial TIE Fighter, yet still larger than the Microfighter interpretation of the Galactic Empire starfighter. This is mainly because the GWP is fully compatible with 75419 Death Star and is built in the same scale as the Imperial shuttle, which can be found in the space station's brick-built hangar.

Regardless, the iconic Imperial TIE Fighter is technically still Minifigure scale, with space for a single LEGO Minifigure to be placed in the ship by detaching the front. The TIE Fighter and a rack, which is also included with 40771 can then be easily connected to the UCS Death Star. Three Minifigures of two Stormtroopers and a TIE Pilot are also included, along with a service cart with detachable brick-built equipment.
