LEGO Speed Champions 77257 McLaren W1 Rumoured For January 2026

Last year, McLaren released the W1 - the manufacturer's latest hypercar celebrating 50 years since McLaren's first Formula 1 World Championship. With another F1 Championship secured this year, LEGO are now releasing a completely brick-built version of the McLaren W1 under the ever-growing and popular LEGO Speed Champions theme.

The real car's extreme performance and racing heritage are recreated in brick-built LEGO form with 287 pieces retailing for $27.99 / €27.99 / £22.99. The LEGO W1 focuses on the car's low, aerodynamic front end, featuring wedge plates and curved slopes to recreate the sharply angled nose and hood. The model's air intake ducts are sculptured along the sides and bonnet, along with its aggressive headlights and further subtle ridges.

The cockpit includes a removable roof, a detailed interior with an infotainment display and space for a single LEGO Minifigure. The figure in question includes a McLaren racing suit, helmet, hairpiece and a wrench accessory. The 9+ set is complete with the final details of the real car, including the rear engine and a sporty rear wing which can be adjusted for either road or track driving.
