LEGO remaking past sets is not uncommon but LEGO remaking San Diego Comic Con exclusive sets is a very rare occurrence. But that doesn't matter as LEGO will be remaking 2014s SDCC with 76278 Rocket Raccoon's Warbird which will release on 1st January 2024 as LEGO returns to the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
The half remake which has been gaining much hype is definitely much bigger than the SDCC exclusive from 2014 as it includes 290 pieces for $34.99. The ship piloted by Rocket Raccoon obviously includes Rocket himself but this time in his Ravager outfit. We're also getting at least one other Minifigure for $35 with it this time being Ronan the Accuser who uses the new hood piece used with Palpatine from the LEGO Star Wars theme.
