LEGO Ideas 21360 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Rumoured For September 2025

LEGO's two 18+ themes of Icons and Ideas have brought us a plethora of licenses in recent years, and in less than two months, another brand-new license will be introduced to the brick-built LEGO world. In particular, the LEGO Ideas theme will be releasing a set directly based on British author Roald Dahl's ever-popular Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book.

Set 21360 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will release on the 15th of September 2025, including 2,026 pieces retailing for $219.99 / €219.99 / £189.99. The original project by 2PPL was only confirmed as an official set last summer but the LEGO Ideas team have been very busy in recent months. The 68th branded LEGO Ideas set, and the seventh of 2025, will be the first of hopeuflly many future LEGO sets paying to trbiute to the famous children's author.

The original submission recreated the Chocolate Room in brick-built LEGO form - an iconic and central part of the factory tour featuring a large chocolate waterfall that flows into a river. Both of these elements will likely be main parts of the final design, hopefully stilll including the working and motoraziable waterfall that 2PPL originally created.

Surrounding the chocolate brown colour river will be a vibrant, dreamlike brick-built world of candy themed terrain. We can expect plenty of colourful and wacky builds to creature sugary details, oversized mushrooms and lollipop-like trees. The brick-built sugary scene also included a large and colourful bridge, stretching across the river and terrain allowing the Minifigures included in 21360 to admire the flowing chocolate river and waterfall.

Talking about Minifigures, Instagram user swi9383 reports that a total of 10 Minifigures will be included in the final design - two more than the original submission. The original projects eighter Minifigures were Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee, and two Oompa-Loompas. These characters will almost definitely be in the final September 2025 model along with possibly Charlie's parent, Mr. and Mrs. Bucket, who also play a crucial role in the book and film.
