LEGO Ideas 21359 Italian Riviera Officially Revealed | August 2025

It's summer and the best time of the year to go on holiday and enjoy the heat! Now your LEGO Minifigures can embrace the beautiful weather with the latest LEGO Ideas model, officially presented today, for a 7th of August 2025 release. In particular, this is the 67th branded LEGO Ideas set, and the sixth of 2025, of 21359 Italian Riviera. The 18+ model is the second largest and second most expensive Ideas set of the year, retailing for $299.99 / €279.99 / £249.99 with a total of 3,251 pieces included.

21359 Italian Riviera is based on the original design by Galaxy333 (Alex Sahil), which was approved just 12 months ago. The build itself recreates a beautiful and highly detailed coastal village inspired by the picturesque charm of Italy's famous Riviera. The display and play model is mainly made up of a collection of colourful, tightly packed buildings nestled along a waterfront, which the fan designer based heavily on the Cinque Terre region.

The core build of the original project, which has been heavily translated into the final, official model, includes three different coloured buildings corresponding to three vibrant brick-built shops. The light yellow building represents a diving equipment shop, the pastel pink building corresponds to a gelato shop, whilst a fishmonger's is located in the vibrant orange building, which, unlike the other two shops, is a three-storey LEGO building.

Each shop has plenty of details inside, from a full and flavoursome gelato counter to plenty of boxes of fresh fish and unique LEGO swimming and diving equipment suitable for your Minifigures. Above each of the corresponding shops, at the second level of each building (and third), are living spaces including some detailed kitchen areas, preparing a traditional Italian meal for the whole family.

The overall architecture of the buildings captures the Mediterranean style with colourful façades, textured stone walls, window shutters, sloped roofs, and narrow balconies, typical of Italy's beautiful coastal towns. The model isn't complete without a cobblestone town square, filled with further details including seats for the gelato shop, printed and stickered signs, and a small coastal/beach section complete with sharp rock edges and a classic LEGO sailboat in light aqua for the first time.

All of this and more are included in the latest LEGO 18+ model, which releases as early as the 7th of August 2025 for LEGO Insiders. We've mentioned how Minifigure-friendly the overall build is, and the LEGO Group have included a total of 10 Minifigures to bask in the beauty of the Italian Riviera. These include the likes of a fishmonger, the gelato shop owner, a tourist (based on the set’s fan designer) and a scooter driver, along with two kitten figures.
