LEGO Icons 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod GWP Rumoured For November 28th 2025

Every year, LEGO releases a brand new set to mark the start of the Christmas shopping season and typically the busiest shopping day of the year in many countries across the globe. 2025 is no different, with the release of 10356 Star Trek: USS Enterprise D on this year's Black Friday, the 28th of November 2025. Alongside this brand new LEGO Icons model will be a corresponding Gift With Purchase of 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod.

The rumoured 18+ model will recreate one of The Next Generation's most recognisable auxiliary craft of the Type-15 Shuttlepod in brick-built LEGO form. With 261 pieces included, we can expect a compact but detailed build, including plenty of details and references to the popular science fiction media franchise. Hopefully, it will be in the same scale as 10356 Star Trek: USS Enterprise D, which it will be available with starting from the 28th of November 2025.

The build itself will likely be in a light grey and dark grey colour scheme, with prints/stickers included for details such as the windows, the Starfleet insignia and shuttle markings. Plenty of small, sloped and curved elements will be utilised to recreate the shuttlepod's sleek, boxy silhouette, complete with its squared off nose and smooth sides. Hopefully, a small interior is also included with a Minifigure-friendly cockpit, including further details such as a simple control panel.

Current rumours suggest that an exclusive LEGO Minifigure will be included in 40768 to add to the further nine characters included in 10356. This figure in particular is Ensign Ro Laren, who first appears in the fifth season episode entitled "Ensign Ro". She will include the Starfleet duty uniform from seasons 5 to 7 of The Next Generation, along with an accessory such as a tricorder or a phaser.
