LEGO Icons 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender Teased For Official Reveal SOON | April 2023

The LEGO Icons theme has many subthemes and one of the most popular amongst adult LEGO fans is the brick-built vehicles subtheme. This range of sets will be expanding even further as the long-rumoured 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender is set to be available as soon as 1st April 2023. And thanks to a tease from LEGO on their social media, it seems like the 18+ set will either be revealed tomorrow or Thursday.

Following on from the most recent set in the subtheme 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, the Land Rover will be based on past versions rather than the most recent 2020 version. The somewhat angular construction of the original model should translate well in LEGO form in this more modern version. It has already been done before: in 2019 42210 Land Rover Defender was released under the LEGO Technic theme.

10317 Land Rover Classic Defender will instead be yellow just like the one that appears in the tease. However, with a fairly large piece count for sets of this subtheme, 2,336 pieces, it's likely to be very detailed and may have a fair amount of interior space along with other functions like moveable doors and customizable features. It'll also retail for a relatively high price of $239.99 once it releases in a few weeks on 1st April 2023.
