LEGO Dragon Ball Sets Rumoured to be Coming in 2026

Hold onto your Power Poles, LEGO fans, as current rumours suggest that the most famous building bricks and the legendary world of Dragon Ball are coming in 2026. This comes from multiple sources, such as Instagram users maniac67_ and brick_clicker, who report that following the success of recent anime themes such as LEGO ONE PIECE and 2026s launch of LEGO Pokémon, a Dragon Ball-branded LEGO set is expected later this year.

The original Dragon Ball anime first hit screens back in February 1986, meaning that Akira Toriyama's iconic franchise is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026. The anime series followed the adventures of a super-strong, monkey-tailed boy named Goku and was quickly followed by a sequel series, Dragon Ball Z, from April 1989 through to January 1966.

The previously mentioned sources state that just a single LEGO Dragon Ball set is expected so far, currently scheduled for a 1st of November 2026 release. The model in particular will be a display set and therefore branded as an 18+ set under the ever-expanding and detailed LEGO Icons theme. LEGO Dragon Ball will likely get a similar treatment to LEGO The Legend of Zelda: releasing only one or two sets annually, but recreating some of the series most iconic locations and characters.

While the rumour is very fresh and the exact build remains under wraps, here's what we think this LEGO Dragon Ball display set could be:

  • Kame House - It makes the most sense for the series' most iconic location to be recreated in brick-built LEGO form. A highly detailed island build would be recreated, possibly featuring exclusive LEGO Minifigures such as Master Roshi, Krillin, and Goku.

  • Buildable Shenron - A large, ultimate collectors series like brick-built version of the Eternal Dragon Shenron. The dragon's tail may end up winding around an 18+ style display stand and base, which could also potentially include all seven Dragon Balls.

  • Cell Games Arena - A diorama-style set focusing on the climax of the Android Saga, perfect for recreating an iconic scene and including multiple Minifigures similar to this month's 77093 Ocarina of Time - The Final Battle.

Further credibility can be added to this rumour as a LEGO Goku Minifigure was discovered in LEGO Fortnite files back in July 2024. The figure is still yet to appear in the game and therefore may be delayed to coincide with the release of the rumoured display set and Dragon Ball's anniversary celebrations. Either way, Japanese IP is quickly growing in popularity in the brick-built world of LEGO, and I'm sure we can expect even more LEGO Japanese licenses in 2027 and beyond...

A LEGO Dragon Ball display set is rumoured to be releasing in November 2026, but what do you think? How much do you believe in this rumour? Are you a fan of the Dragon Ball anime series?
