LEGO Day of the Dead Set 40811 Altar of the Dead Rumoured For August 2025

Amongst the many sets releasing this summer, a brand new brick-built LEGO model will be launching to celebrate the vibrant and deeply meaningful traditions of Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos). In particular, 40811 Altar of the Dead will be releasing on the 1st of August 2025 to celebrate this year's widely observed Mexican holiday. The 9+ model includes a total of 231 pieces retailing for $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99.

The most recent LEGO set celebrating Day of the Dead is 2021's LEGO BrickHeadz model, 40492 La Catrina. In 2025, however, 40811 will likely recreate a small, decorative brick-built altar featuring some of the most recognisable and iconic Day of the Dead elements. These altars traditionally include candles, marigolds and offerings to honour loved ones who have passed.

The LEGO Altar of the Dead will likely be decorated with translucent flame pieces, vibrant flower elements and decorative printed tiles. Day of the Dead skulls, also known as Sugar Skulls, will likely feature heavily on this altar in multiple patterns, designs and colours to represent the souls of the departed. Hopefully, plenty of customisable options are also included, with over 200 pieces included for a fair recommended retail price of $15.
