LEGO City Rumoured January 2026 Sets

The rumour mill for 2026 is in full flow as we have information and reports that a total of 21 sets will be released on the 1st of January 2026 for one of LEGO's most action-packed and play-friendly themes: LEGO City. This year, the theme celebrated 20 years of existence with a winter and summer wave of sets, including the second-ever biggest LEGO City and the first Direct to Consumer model for the brand of 60473 The City Tower.

The Winter 2026 wave consists of the usual range of City-based models from construction and utility to Police and Emergency services. However, this wave of brand-new models also sees the return of the Coast Guard subtheme with 60503 Coast Guard Helicopter and 60504 Coast Guard Rescue Boat & Helicopter. The latter of the two sets is the joint most expensive of the wave, alongside 60502 Airport with Aeroplane, which will likely include the most expansive and detailed LEGO City airport to date.

60478 Cement Mixer

A classic LEGO City Cement Mixer is the first set in this rumoured list, retailing for $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99. The multi-wheeled cement mixer truck will likely be in classic blue, white or orange LEGO City colour scheme and include a rotating drum and tilting mechanism to simulate pouring cement.

And don't forget plenty of LEGO fries accessories!

The 7+ model will likely include multiple firefighter Minifigures, hopefully in some unique fire/airport overalls.

We already saw the release of 60440 Yellow Delivery Truck, and in 2026, LEGO will be releasing a much smaller LEGO-themed van. Retailing for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, we expect the van to be entirely yellow with plenty of LEGO branding and LEGO-branded torsos for the two Minifigures likely included in the 6+ model.

The accompanying airport is likely to be much smaller but hopefully still includes a small terminal, control tower and check-in desk.
