LEGO Art 31213 Mona Lisa Rumoured For June 2024

Exotic animals, the never-ending depths of space and now historic real-world art make up LEGO Art's lineup of sets in 2024 according to the latest rumours. In particular, it's being reported that after 31212 The Milky Way Galaxy releases on the 14th of May 2024, 31213 Mona Lisa will be our third LEGO Art set of the year. It will release on the 1st of June 2024 retailing for $99.99 with a total of 1,503 pieces.

Unsurprisingly, the brick-built 18+ model will be a recreation of the renowned painting the Mona Lisa. Italian Artist Leonardo da Vinci was the one who painted the art all the way back in the 1500s. Today, the painting is celebrated for its enigmatic expression, meticulous detail, and the use of the sfumato technique, which creates soft transitions between colours and tones in an extremely detailed and artistic manner.

It'll be interesting to see exactly how LEGO recreates this iconic piece of art with the 18+ LEGO Art model of 31213 Mona Lisa. The price and piece count suggest it could be similar to other forms of real-life art recreated in brick-built form such as 31208 Hokusai - The Great Wave and 21333 Vincent Van Gogh - The Starry Night. If 31213 was lucky enough to have a Minifigure version of Leonardo da Vinci then it would surely be a best seller...
