First Leaked Images of LEGO Harry Potter 76460 Hogwarts Castle: Sorting Hat Ceremony | January 2026

ree

On the 1st of January 2026, a total of eight brand new LEGO Harry Potter sets will be releasing, including two with the exact same piece count. These are 76459 Hagrid & Harry's Privet Drive Escape and the focus of today's article, 76460 Hogwarts Castle: Sorting Hat Ceremony. The 7+ model, which has leaked online thanks to images found on Reddit, includes 124 pieces retailing for $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99.

76460 isn't directly another expansion to the biggest and greatest LEGO Hogwarts Modular system yet, but it does recreate a key event from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: the sorting hat ceremony. The set includes the iconic sorting hat, which can be placed on each student, alongside a sorting wheel to further help organise each pupil into their corresponding house. The brick-built wheel can be spun around and land on one of four 2x2 tiles representing each of the four houses.

Along with the sorting hat and sorting wheel, there's a small chair for the students to sit on whilst being sorted, along with a dinner table and a house points counter. 76460 pays tribute to the first-ever LEGO Harry Potter set of 4701 The Sorting Hat and includes one of the 25th anniversary collectable Patronuses: Professor McGonagall's Cat Patronus. The transfiguration professor is included as a Minifigure alongside Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy.
