As has been rumoured for a few months, a LEGO set based on Transformers will finally be coming in less than a month's time. Thanks to Promobricks.de we now have further information on the upcoming LEGO Creator Expert set going by the set number 10302. Current rumours suggest the set will be officially revealed on 12th May 2022, just one year before the next Transformers film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
The build itself will be a brick built figure of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, who will be able to change into his truck form without removing any pieces. He'll also include a jetpack, his Ion Blaster and his Energon Axe with the brick-built figure being easily bendable at his arms and legs to easily change forms whenever needed. This will all be included in the 1508 piece set retailing for $169.99 and the Optimus Prime figure measuring 35cm in height.
The exact version of Optimus Prime will be the iconic 80s G1 version which isn't based on any of the Michael Bay films. This will make it a great display set that will sit on one of those 18+ information plaques which include Top Trumps like stats. The set is also quite a historic one as once it's revealed on 12th May 2022 and available from 1st June 2022, it'll be the first time LEGO have teamed up with competitors Hasbro.
