2 LEGO Chinese New Year 2023 Sets Officially Revealed | 80110 + 80111


As 2022 starts to come to an end for the LEGO company, the focus is now on 2023 as two brand new Chinese New Year sets will be coming to celebrate the year of the rabbit. The GWP for this special celebration has already been leaked thanks to stonewars.de pictures of 40575 Year of the Rabbit. But the other two sets for the new year have now finally been officially revealed of 80110 and 80111 after this year's Chinese International Import Expo.


80111 Lunar New Year Parade is the bigger of the two retailing for $129.99 with 1653 pieces. This is the usual Minifigure scale Chinese New Year set with an exclusive year of the Rabbit Minifigure and a giant brick-built rabbit. When the float is moved, the rabbit comes to life with some movement and functionality. The other floats contain a massive drum and a collection of people dressed as popular LEGO characters over the years.


Meanwhile, 80110 Lunar New Year Display is only slightly smaller with a retail price of $89.99 and a piece count of 872. As the name suggests, this is more of a display set with no Minifigures included but does have some interesting building techniques and prints. They also feature many iconic Chinese traditional symbols associated with the new year and the set allows two people to build it at once with separate instructions.

Both sets will be available from 25th December 2022 in China and parts of Europe but will become more widely for places like North America on 10th January 2023. The GWP of 40575 Year of The Rabbit will also be available near to these dates and throughout January 2023.
