R2-D2 has been one of the most loveable and popular droids in the Star Wars franchise, appearing in plenty of films and shows, and LEGO sets. Not only has R2-D2 been a Minifigure plenty of times, but he's also been a giant brick-built character in many UCS-style 18+ sets. However, on 1st March 2024 the droid will be returning to his brick-built character form but this time at a more child-friendly and playable scale. This set will be coming under the set number 75379 and will be unsurprisingly just named R2-D2. Retailing for $99.99 with 1,050 pieces, the set will be aimed more at children rather than adults which can be reflected through its 9+ branding. This means R2-D2 should be a much less complicated build than previous versions and will be similar to LEGO Harry Potter's 76421 Dobby the House Elf from summer 2023. The brick-built version of R2 measures 24cm high, 7 cm less than the last buildable R2-D2 of 75308 which released almost 3 years ago. 75379s build of R2-D2 includes a moveable head, R2's third leg which can also be moved and adjusted, a periscope and many different tools that appear throughout the films. He sits on an information plaque alongside a Minifigure version of himself and a 25th Anniversary Minifigure of Darth Malak. 75379 R2-D2 Set Name - R2-D2 Set Number - 75379 Age Range - 9+ Piece Count - 1,050 Price - $99.99 Release Date - 1st March 2024

We finally have our first look at one of the brand new LEGO Star Wars sets releasing on 1st March 2024 for the LEGO theme's 25th Anniversary. In particular, this is the previously rumoured 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV which is one of two sets based on the iconic Tantive IV spaceship from Star Wars: A New Hope. 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV is a rare non-18+ set making it much more play-friendly and similar to the popular 75324 Dark Trooper Attack. However, 75387 is slightly bigger including 502 pieces for a fair retail price of $54.99. The hallway scene based on the iconic scene from A New Hope measures 22cm high with the possibility of multiple copies of the set being attached to create a full interior of the ship. The hallway is mainly made up of white or lighter-shaded bricks with a couple of smaller details here or there. Features of the $55 set include levers to blast open doors just like Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers did in the actual film. There's also a couple of play features to topple characters as if they've just been blasted. And the fun doesn't stop there as Minifigures of Darth Vader, two Stormtroopers, Captain Antilles, two Rebel Fleet Troopers and a special 25th Anniversary ARC Trooper Fives are included in 75387. The 25th Anniversary branding can be seen on the box art of the set and will most likely feature on plenty more LEGO Star Wars sets which also release in a months time on the 1st of March 2024. 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV Set Name - Boarding the Tantive IV Set Number - 75387 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 502 Price - $54.99 Release Date - 1st March 2024

We already know that a midi scale version of the ship Tantive IV will be coming in LEGO form in March 2024 but so will a play scale set based on the iconic ship. In particular, this is the previously rumoured 75387 Boarding the Tantive IV which has now been confirmed to be an 8+ set rather than branded under 18+. After an action-packed January wave, the LEGO Creator 3in1 theme will see its second wave of sets release in just over a months time. This wave will be available beginning 1st March 2024 and includes only two brand-new sets. One of these is 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox which includes 667 pieces for a currently unknown price. Like all LEGO Creator 3in1 models, the 667 pieces included in 31154 will be used to create three different builds. One of these will be a brick-built Red Fox whilst the other two are likely to be more forest animals. As they use the same pieces, these will be based on the same colour scheme as the Red Fox so we could see the likes of a red panda or some exotic bird as the other builds included in 31154. 31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox Set Name - Forest Animals: Red Fox Set Number - 31154 Age Range - 8+ Piece Count - 667 Price - TBC Release Date - 1st March 2024

And our last leak from the Chinese LEGO page, found by Brick Clicker on YouTube is a brand new LEGO DREAMZzz set. The latest of LEGOs in house theme willhave a brand new wave releasing on 1st January 2024 with a total of five brand-new sets. One of these is 71476 Zoey and Zian the Cat Owl which we now have a leaked image of. We've known for a couple of months now that 71476 will be the second most expensive set of the wave in January as it will retail for $49.99. For that $50 price tag though, we'll be getting 437 pieces and characters of Zoey, Cooper, Sneak, Grimspawn Snivel, Knight Hunter and Zian the Cat Owl. Four of these characters, Zoey, Cooper, Grimspawn Snivel and Knight Hunter, will be Minifigures which have already featured in past sets. But Sneak and Zian the Cat Owl will be exclusive to this $50 set. Sneak in particular is likely to be a brand new mould due to him being a four-legged elf-like Grimspawn as already seen in the show. As the leaked image shows, Zian the Cat Owl is the beautiful brick-built model taking up most of the 437 pieces included. Zian is a mix of blue, green and white with the Cat Owl's wings, arms, legs and tail all being moveable. Like all the LEGO DREAMZzz sets released so far, 71476 can also be built into an alternative model of a beautifully sculptured peacock using the exact same pieces and colours. 71476 Zoey and Zian the Cat Owl Set Name - Zoey and Zian the Cat Owl Set Number - 71476 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 437 Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st January 2024

Only two LEGO Technic sets releasing on 1st March 2024 haven't been officially revealed yet with both of these being Mercedes-based. The first of these we've already of covered 42171 Mercedes Formula 1 Race Car but the other is a fairly recent listing. In particular, this is 42165 Mercedes Pullback Race Car, retailing for a much lower price compared to 42171 at $26.99 for a total of 240 pieces. We've already seen a brand new Pullback vehicle from the LEGO Technic theme in 2024 of 42166 NEOM McLaren Extreme E Race Car. This too retailed for $26.99 but we don't expect 42165 to be an Extreme E Race Car. Instead, the 7+ rated set is likely to be a generic race car from the German car brand of Mercedes. Alternatively, LEGO could delve into other racing categories such as Touring Cars which Mercedes compete in. 42165 Mercedes Pullback Race Car Set Name - Mercedes Pullback Race Car Set Number - 42165 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 240 Price - $26.99 Release Date - 1st March 2024

These five sets covering the set numbers 77046 to 77050 have been rumoured for a 1st March 2024 release but more LEGO Animal Crossing sets are coming. This is because, thanks to Brick Clicker, the theme will also be getting two LEGO Animal Crossing themed LEGO Brickheadz. This is similar to the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog theme which had five set release on 1st August 2023 and will have two LEGO Brickheaz release on 1st September 2023. The two LEGO Animal Crossing Brickheadz will release with the rest of the LEGO Animal Crossing sets on 1st March 2024. However, apart from the set numbers of 40666 and 40667, we don't have any more information about the brick-built LEGO sets. We don't even know if the sets are single packs, double packs or even bigger packs which LEGO seem to be delving into more as they head into the new year of 2024. 40666 *LEGO Animal Crossing Brickheadz* Set Name - *LEGO Animal Crossing Brickheadz* Set Number - 40666 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC Release Date - 1st March 2024 40667 *LEGO Animal Crossing Brickheadz* Set Name - *LEGO Animal Crossing Brickheadz* Set Number - 40667 Ages - 10+ Piece Count - TBC Price - TBC Release Date - 1st March 2024 Featured Image: LEGO Animal Crossing moc by CM4Sci

And even though it's the biggest of the March releases, it's sadly the one we know the least amount. As the name suggests, we expect this $120 set to be a brand-new brick-built temple based on the recent Dragons Rising series of LEGO NINJAGO. The rest of the build remains a complete mystery but we luckily do have information about 71819s Minifigure line. LEGO have continued to push the LEGO Brickheadz theme over recent years, introducing bigger sets than just the usual single or double pack. These even include licenses such as EGO Harry Potter which saw a LEGO Brickheadz 4 pack all the way back in 2022 with 40560 Professors of Hogwarts. And now in 2024 the theme will be seeing another larger selection of LEGO Brickheadz. 40677 will be a 5-pack of LEGO Harry Potter Brickheadz retailing for $49.99 making each Brickheadz build worth $10. The exact piece count and brick-built characters included are unknown but we expect them to either all have something in common or based on a particular film or movie. Quite a niche yet possibly popular example could be five members of the order of the Phoenix. Either way, 40677 will be releasing in just less than two months time beginning on 1st March 2024. Similar to previous LEGO Brickheadz sets, we can expect a reveal at the start of February 2024 alongside a couple of LEGO Brickheadz based on LEGO Animal Crossing. 40677 *LEGO Harry Potter Brickheadz 5 Pack* Set Name - *LEGO Harry Potter Brickheadz 5 Pack* Set Number - 40677 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - TBC Price - $49.99 Release Date - 1st March 2024

Amongst these is 71810 Riyu The Baby Dragon which will retail for $14.99 with 132 pieces once its available from the 1st of March 2024. The LEGO Creator 3in1 theme is still going strong with at least seven more sets releasing in 2024. The set which can be built into a further two models using the exact same pieces retails for $9.99 with 149 pieces included once it releases on 1st January 2024. The leaked image sadly only shows the main build of the Red Dragon itself meaning that the other two which use the 149 pieces are still a mystery. But the Red Dragon looks to be a very funny, cartoony build with big eyes and moveable parts including its mouth, arms, legs and tail. Some hints of bright yellow are also included on the dragon's belly and tail along with some light blue tiles on its small but cute wings. 31145 The Red Dragon Set Name - The Red Dragon Set Number - 31145 Age Range - 6+ Piece Count - 149 Price - $9.99 Release Date - 1st January 2024

Yet another Formula 1 LEGO set has been rumoured for a 2024 release, this time being from the LEGO Technic theme. The high-tech theme aimed for older children and adults has already had one Formula 1 based set released back in 2022. In particular, the LEGO Technic F1 based set was 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car which featured 2021's livery but with the brand new car model for the 2022 season. But in 2024 we'll be seeing the Mercedes car manufacturer in its Formula 1 form under the set 42171 Mercedes Formula 1 Race Car. The brick-built F1 car will feature a total of 1,642 pieces for a retail price of $219.99.
