The LEGO Technic theme releases an abundance of vehicles every single year but not many of them are tailored to be either on or underwater. Luckily, along with a range of supercars, trucks and another space-themed vehicle, a brand new water-themed vehicle is also releasing on the 1st of August 2024 under the set number 42174. The 18+ model will include a total of 962 pieces for a heavy retail price of $119.99. Current information is limited about 42174 apart from it being some form of 'water vehicle' such as a boat and other aquatic methods of transportation. Since the introduction of the LEGO Technic theme in 1977, there have been fewer than 20 boat-themed models so the LEGO Technic designers won't be short of ideas. Boats, hovercrafts and seaplanes have all appeared in this advanced brick-built form before and it wouldn't be a surprise to get them once again. LEGO may even include some other form of play feature in the Summer 2024 model such as the pullback line of sets, some form of LEGO control feature or a light setup due to fairly high price of $120 for only 962 pieces. 42174 *TBC Water Vehicle* Set Name - *TBC Water Vehicle* Set Number - 42174 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 962 Price - $119.99 Release Date - 1st August 2024 42174 *TBC Water Vehicle* releases on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 42174 in a few weeks time? What do you hope this mysterious Water Vehicle is? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.

It was only the other day we covered the first rumours for upcoming LEGO sets in 2025 but we now have further information thanks to a leak from LEGO themselves. Just a week ago the British version of LEGO shop@home revealed at least one revolutionary LEGO model which included brand-new interactive technology. The LEGO shop@home webpage is/was a platform where builders could sign up to test the brand-new LEGO technology. Reports claim a few families with children were also invited in preparation for a beta test very soon and a global launch on the 1st of March 2025. The Danish toy company commonly uses the British market for various beta tests including introducing different coloured versions of existing sets. These brand-new beta tests involve this new interactive, revolutionary technology of a special, interactive 'smart' LEGO brick. The smart LEGO brick which is currently its unofficial name is light blue along with some clear elements on its studed area. This allows the brick to respond directly to everything you do, such as the way you move it and how you build and rebuild sets with it. The element also reportedly interacts with special tile tags which have unique images on them, similar to the LEGO Super Mario theme. The smart LEGO brick is confirmed to be included in one of three LEGO City jungle-themed sets all releasing on the 1st of March 2025. In particular, this is the biggest of the three of 60691 Jungle Explorer Base Camp which includes a total of 1,019 pieces. This seems to be the main set of the interactive subtheme with the revolutionary brick interacting with the volcano, the three Minifigures included in 60691 and the two jungle-themed vehicles. The other two sets are much smaller of 60692 The Lost Crocodile Temple and 60693 Survivor Island Seaplane. Both of these 2025 models won't include the smart LEGO brick but will be compatible with similar features involving the Minifigures, vehicles and other brick-built scenery included in the 7+ LEGO City models. Across the three 2025 sets, a total of five Minifigures are included: Annie Quest, Max Danger, Doc, Trudy Skovry and Miles Waei. 60691 Jungle Explorer Base Camp Set Name - Jungle Explorer Base Camp Set Number - 60691 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 1,019 Price - TBC Release Date - 1st March 2025 60692 The Lost Crocodile Temple Set Name - The Lost Crocodile Temple Set Number - 60692 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 294 Price - TBC Release Date - 1st March 2025 60693 Survivor Island Seaplane Set Name - Survivor Island Seaplane Set Number - 60693 Age Range - 7+ Piece Count - 287 Price - TBC Release Date - 1st March 2025 The smart LEGO brick and these three interactive LEGO City Jungle sets all reportedly release on the 1st of March 2025 but what do you think? Every year a range of wild and wacky LEGO sets release and 2024 has been and will be no different. This is because a new mysterious set has been floating around the rumour mill of the LEGO Miscellaneous model of 41838 Family Travel Memories. The supposed Summer 2024 set will retail for $149.99 / €149.99 / £TBC with a total of 1,321 pieces once it releases on the 1st of August 2024. Apart from these details we've just outlined, everything else is guesswork. Usually, the LEGO Miscellaneous range of sets features smaller, random sets that don't fit into a specific theme but still deserve a place on the shelves. Furthermore, the theme usually produces much smaller, cheaper sets with a surprisingly higher-priced set of 40719 Traditional Chess Set being the most recent release for the theme. Therefore, the $150 model of 41838 Family Travel Memories could be absolutely anything. The name hints at a family-oriented set, focusing on adventures across the globe and the many happy memories made along the way. This suggests something similar to the LEGO Ideas model of 21346 Family Tree which allowed plenty of customization and personalisation for the whole family. But would it make sense for both sets to be on the market? So could this mysterious set belong to a brand new theme? We've already seen the likes of LEGO Animal Crossing and LEGO Despicable Me 4 release in 2024 with the likes of Fortnite and Wicked coming in just a few months time. Another brand-new theme, licensed or homegrown, would make for an incredible 2024 but this still seems unlikely. Maybe it's just some one-off set with a one-off license? 41838 Family Travel Memories Set Name - Family Travel Memories Set Number - 41838 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - 1,321 Price  - $149.99 / €149.99 / £TBC Release Date - 1st August 2024 The mysteries of 41838 Family Travel Memories will all be unravelled on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? Will you be purchasing 41838 in over a months time? What could this mysterious set be? Do you agree with our theories or do you have your own? Jaws is classic cinema and on the 3rd of August 2024, it is sure to become a classic LEGO set for the Ideas theme. 21350 Jaws will become the sixth LEGO Ideas set of 2024 and the second most expensive with a retail price of $159.99 / €159.99 / £139.99 for a total of 1,497 pieces. The 18+ model will be the first based on the 1975 movie directed by Steven Spielberg and the 1974 novel by Peter Benchley but many more brick-built recreations may come in the future. The original submission, simply entitled 'Jaws', was created by LEGO Ideas user Driving Faces and was officially approved just over a year ago. Since then the LEGO designers have been hard at work creating the perfect set based on the 1970s Jaws movie. Just like the original submission, three Minifigures are expected to be included of Martin Brody, Matt Hooper and Quint. These will be exclusive and likely extremely detailed and accurate to their movie counterparts. The main build of the 18+ set will be an accurate representation of the shark-hunting vessel named the ORCA. This boat will be mainly coloured red, white and black and includes a detailed interior with lots of sharking/fishing equipment as well as those famous yellow barrels. And of course, the set isn't complete without Bruce the Shark which the LEGO designers will likely have spent a long time designing and accurately recreating. 21350 Jaws Set Name - Jaws Set Number - 21350 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,497 Price - $159.99 / €159.99 / £139.99 Release Date - 3rd August 2024 21350 Jaws releases on the 3rd of August 2024 but what do you think? It's been two years since the LEGO Icons model 10302 Optimus Prime released but finally, the toy giants LEGO and Hasbro are once again partnering together. This time there making the bright yellow transformer Bumblebee in brick-built LEGO form under the set number 10338. The July 2024 model will retail for $89.99 with 950 pieces which is considerably less than 2022s brick built Optimus Prime which had 1,508 pieces for $169.99. The iconic brick-built Autobot has the same play feature as Optimus Prime where by it can transform into a car without removing or adding any pieces. The 2in1 Bumblebee model is based on its G1 appearance and therefore transforms into a yellow Volkswagen beetle. In its fully-fledged Transformers form, 10338 measures 24 cm tall which is just over 10 cm smaller than 10302 Optimus Prime, but still measures 16 cm wide. Like many 18+ LEGO Icons sets, 10338 doesn't include any stickers and therefore includes an exclusive 2x2 printed yellow tile with the Transformers logo in red. Unlike Optimus Prime, Bumblebee with a much lower piece count and price does not include a couple of brick-built accessories apart from the blaster in his hand. The brick-built Bumblebee Autobot will be the main and only build along with the usual 18+ black information plaque. 10338 Transformers: Bumblebee Set Name - Transformers: Bumblebee Set Number - 10338 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 950 Price - $89.99 / €89.99 / £79.99 Release Date - 1st July 2024 10338 Transformers Bumblebee releases on the 1st of July 2024 but what do you think? Just over a week ago, we got official images of a brand new LEGO Superheroes BrickHeadz and now LEGO has unveiled a second. Not only will 40669 Iron Man Mk5 BrickHeadz release on the 1st of July 2024 but so will the LEGO DC BrickHeadz of 40748 Batman 8in1 BrickHeadz. The 2024 model which has been officially revealed today includes a total of 325 pieces retailing for $19.99. As you can guess from the set name, this isn't just any old LEGO BrickHeadz as a total of eight different figures can be built using the 325 pieces included in 40748. Sadly only one can be built at a time but this still means we're basically getting eight different Batman suits in just one set for only $20. Each suit has exclusive prints and can easily be swapped out and combined to make your very own LEGO Batman BrickHeadz suit. The eight different LEGO Batman suits included in 40748 are: The classic blue and grey comic suit of Bronze Age Batman. 1966 Adam West suit. 1989 Michael Keaton suit. Batman The Animated Series suit. What an action-packed year of Speed Champions we've had so far: four sets in March, three sets in June and now two more LEGO Speed Champions models will release on the 1st of August 2024. This means 2024 will be a record-breaking year for the theme with the most vehicles ever released in just a single calendar year. 76934 Ferrari F40 Supercar and 76935 Nascar Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will round off another successful year for the theme as these sets are the two models racing onto shelves in August. The latter of these, 76935 Nascar Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 , we'll be covering in today's article as the Summer 2024 model will retail for $26.99 / €26.99 / £20.99 with a total of 328 pieces included. Our last LEGO Speed Champions Nascar set was 75891 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Race Car which was only six studs wide and featured a blue colour scheme. However, 76935 is based on the newer Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Nascar and will be, like all LEGO Speed Champions vehicles, eight studs wide. The Next Gen Chevrolet will also have a very vibrant colour scheme of blue, yellow and purple with a flame design along the side of the car. 76935 Nascar Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Set Name - Nascar Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Set Number - 76935 Age Range - 10+ Piece Count - 328 Price  - $26.99 / €26.99 / £20.99 Release Date - 1st August 2024 76935 Nascar Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will release on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? In previous years we've seen two LEGO 'tribute' Gift With Purchases with the most recent of these being the LEGO Ideas set of 40595 Tribute to Galileo Galilei. But in 2024 we're getting a brand new tribute promotional item of 40690 Tribute To Jules Verne's Books GWP. The 12+ model includes a total of 351 pieces with any purchases over $150 starting from the 21st of June 2024 for LEGO Insiders and the 24th of June 2024 for everyone else. The set pays homage to Jules Verne’s books with a small microscale diorama. This is in the form of, unsurprisingly, an open book with a brick-built bridge running across it that includes a mini black train. For those Jules Verne fans out there, you'll know this is also better known as the Jules Verne Train or the "Train Time Machine" or simply the "Time Train" which has a total of three carriages in this miniature brick-built LEGO form. Also in the microscale GWP is a brick-built hot air balloon and a golden Nautilus submarine. All of this references Jules Verne and adds to an Easter egg-heavy build for an incredible author from France. And of course, the 351 pieced build isn't complete without the man himself as Jules Verne is included as an exclusive Minifigure in 40690. He can be placed on the brick-built pages on either side of the open red book. 40690 Tribute To Jules Verne's Books GWP Set Name - Tribute To Jules Verne's Books GWP Set Number - 40690 Age Range - 12+ Piece Count - 351 Price - GWP over $150 Release Date - 21st/24th June 2024 to 30th June 2024 40690 Tribute To Jules Verne's Books GWP becomes available on the 21st of June 2024 for LEGO Insiders but what do you think? We've already had one LEGO Icons 18+ vehicle release in 2024 of 10330 McLaren F1 MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna and another one has now been officially revealed for a 4th of July 2024 release. The large brick-built 18+ vehicle is the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole coming under the set number 10337. The 1970s sports car in LEGO form includes a total of 1,506 pieces retailing for a high price of $179.99 / €179.99 / £159.99. We've already seen a Lamborghini Countach in LEGO form before back in 2022 with the LEGO Speed Champions theme. 76908 Lamborghini Countach had a white colour scheme and so does 2024s 18+ model of 10337 along with a red interior. Its unique but iconic shape is translated at an even bigger and more complex scale with obvious features such as its recognisable opening scissor doors and sleek rear spoiler all included. Similar to previous LEGO Icons vehicles, 10337 includes no Minifigures but it still has plenty of functions along with its natural display capabilities. The 22nd LEGO Icons brick-built vehicle can have both its rear hood and trunk be folded out. 2024 has already seen two LEGO Botanical Collection sets release but two more will launch on the 1st of August 2024 for the LEGO Icons subtheme. 10328 Bouquet of Roses and 10329 Tiny Plants have been available for a few months now but it won't be long until both 10368 Chrysanthemum and 10369 Plum Blossom also hit shelves. In today's article, we'll be covering the latter of these two 18+ models. LEGO Icons Botanical Collection set of 10369 Plum Blossom will retail for $29.99 with a total of 327 pieces included. Once it releases on the 1st of August 2024, it'll become the second smallest LEGO Botanical Collection set yet as it includes just under 50 pieces more than 10368 as LEGO continue to make this line of sets affordable for everyone. The Plum Blossom is a Chinese tree species which will be making its debut in brick-built LEGO form very soon. Just like 10368, the Plum Blossom comes in a small brick-built vase, this time a lovely light blue colour and a slightly different shape. The blossom tree contains thin brown branches which lead to some beautiful flowers coloured red, pink and yellow. A couple of the flowers aren't fully formed, showcasing the cycle of mother nature. 10369 Plum Blossom Set Name - Plum Blossom Set Number - 10369 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 327 Price - $29.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st August 2024 10369 Plum Blossom releases on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? Chrysanthemum plants are native to East Asia and northeastern Europe and will very soon be in brick-built form. The plant sits in a lime green vase sat on top of a small wooden stool. A lot of LEGO Technic parts are used to make the green stem of the plant which is also covered with some smaller and large leaves. This then leads to the main part of the plant itself which is yellow and orange with the biggest Chrysanthemum plant including plenty of Banana pieces. 10368 Chrysanthemum Set Name - Chrysanthemum Set Number - 10368 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 278 Price - $29.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st August 2024 10368 Chrysanthemum releases on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think? And we're finally at our last set covering the LEGO Star Wars rumoured August 2024 wave with it being the most mysterious and unknown set of the 10 releasing in just a few weeks time on the 1st of August 2024. In particular, this is 75399 Microscale Jedi Temple which has only been reported on by a few people in the LEGO community, such as exabrickslegogo and greekbricks both on Instagram. This suggests it's highly likely the set doesn't exist or, if it does, it's unknown exactly when it will release and whether or not it could possibly be a 2025 model. What we do know about 75399 is that it will retail for $159.99 with a currently unknown piece count. Reports also claim that 75399 Microscale Jedi Temple will release in either August or September but we wouldn't be surprised if 75399 doesn't release at all. But if a microscale version of the Jedi Temple in brick-built LEGO form does exist then we can imagine it being similar to LEGO Harry Potter's 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds. The interior of the temple will likely be open allowing plenty of access to the hidden details inside and those outside with an expansive exterior. It's also reported that if 75399 does exist and releases this summer then an exclusive Yaddle Minifigure is also included. 75399 Microscale Jedi Temple Set Name - Microscale Jedi Temple Set Number - 75399 Age Range - TBC Piece Count - TBC Price - $159.99 / €159.99 / £TBC Release Date - 1st August (or September) 2024 75399 Microscale Jedi Temple reportedly releases in either August or September 2024 but what do you think? Buildable characters are a very common type of set in LEGO and so it's no surprise to see the 25-year-old LEGO Star Wars theme also explore brick-built animals, people, droids and much more. We've already seen three buildable R2-D2's release, including this year's 75379 R2-D2, and Chewbacca with 2023s 75371 Chewbacca. But in 2024 LEGO will be making another one of our favourite droids in brick-built form: C-3PO. C-3PO has been a common character in the Star Wars franchise and that has carried over into LEGO form too so it's a surprise that its taken LEGO so long to create a brick-built version of the droid. But in just a few weeks time we'll finally be getting brick-built C-3PO on the 1st of August 2024 under the set number 75398. The 18+ model will retail for $139.99 with a total of 1,138 pieces included. Compared to the two buildable characters mentioned earlier, 75398 Buildable C-3PO will be in scale with May's R2-D2 which can also be reflected in a much smaller piece count compared to the 18+ Chewy that released in September last year. A fair amount of larger moulds and pieces and of course some exclusive prints are expected to be included in the LEGO version of C-3PO. We also expect it to include a mix of shiny elements and dark tan. Being an 18+ model, a small display stand along with an information plaque for the droid will also be included. This black display stand will also have room to display the single Minifigure included in 75398 of C-3PO himself. According to rumours, this is expected to be a reuse but we would love it to be an exclusive version of the droid, possibly a very small reference to one of the main Star Wars films he makes an appearance in. 75398 Buildable C-3PO Set Name - Buildable C-3PO Set Number - 75398 Age Range - 18+ Piece Count - 1,138 Price - $139.99 / €TBC / £TBC Release Date - 1st August 2024 75398 Buildable C-3PO releases on the 1st of August 2024 but what do you think?
