The LEGO Icons theme has expanded drastically in recent years from Modular buildings to brick-built flowers and now they'll be a brick-built console. In particular, it'll be a LEGO version of the Atari 2600 console that celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year which has already been rumoured for a while. But thanks to promobricks.de , we have further information about the retro console that will be available from 1st August 2022. Just like the original Atari, the LEGO model will be similar in size and will be mainly black with light brown panels to round off the look. The classic side controls will also be included along with a slot for the game cartridges at the top of the console. The top of the console can also be opened up to reveal a small vignette of a typical 80s kids' bedroom. In the bedroom, a Minifigure sits on the floor with a joystick in his hand whilst playing Asteroids on a TV. There is a small-built mini Atari in front of the TV with various posters hanging on the room wall around it. A ghetto blaster, an old-fashioned telephone and a white cat also being inside the small vignette. Furthermore, Atari 2600 console also comes with three game cartridges of the games Asteroids, Adventure and Centipede. Each one can be converted into mini 8x8 vignettes to match their game themes. Centipede is a build of an insect with a mushrooms background, Asteroids is of course a small spaceship that fights against asteroids and UFOs and Adventure is a yellow castle build. Altogether this makes for a pretty big set even if it's not the most colourful and play feature-friendly LEGO model ever. And because of the sheer amount of stuff included, 10306 will retail for $239.99 with a total of 2532 pieces once it releases on 1st August 2022 exclusively at LEGO stores and online. After an official tease yesterday, its finally here as LEGO have officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set for 2022. This is 21336 The Office which becomes the first set to be based on the American The Office comedy series. However, 21336 will be available in a few months from 1st October 2022 for $119.99 as another set, 21335 Motorized Lighthouse, is still rumoured for an earlier release for the LEGO Ideas theme. Another one of these shelves is located directly next to Phyllis Lapin Vance and Stanley Hudson who are also at their desks. Phyllis is knitting some muffins whilst Stanley is eating a pretzel as they both struggle through the day of working under their boss Michael Scott who is also included as a Minifigure. He includes his own green office which can be easily separated from the rest of the office. In his office, he's got all his pictures and awards on the wall along with his shelves and some of his toys. He's also got his mug for being 'The World's Best Boss' and his award. Across from his desk is a chair which is commonly taken by his favourite temp Ryan Howard. Kelly Kapoor is also included along with Darryl Philbin from the warehouse. Next to Michael's office is the conference room where many iconic scenes have taken place. In their theres the hierarchy drawn by Jim, many chairs for the employees to sit on and the TV screen for whatever weird stuff Michael shows the likes of Oscar Martinez, Kevin Malone, Meredith Palmer, Creed Bratton and Toby Flenderson. Another LEGO Icons set is coming this year and it's another brick-built realistic car. As was already previously rumoured, along with 10298 Vespa 125 and 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine, a brand new vehicle of 10304 Chevrolet Camero Z28 will be coming on 1st August 2022. This will be the classic American car version of the Chevrolet Camero Z28 from 1969. The base model of the classic Camero is black with grey racing stripes on both the hood and the rear. However, these racing stripes are made from LEGO bricks rather than prints or stickers so can be changed to a different colour so you have more customization options. The designers themselves have even included two more colours of red and white to go along with the original grey so you don't have to buy extra bricks. That also isn't the only customisable bit of the set as the roof can easily be removed to change the model from a coupe into a convertible. This means that basically six different versions of the same car can be made by changing the colours and the roof. Different license plates are also included: a yellow one with the inscription CHTY-69 and a black one with the inscription P4N-T3R. The doors, the tailgate and the bonnet, which has a detailed engine built underneath it, can all be opened up as functions of the set. Some of these functions reveal a detailed exterior which is decorated with dark red tones along with light red accents. All of this is included for $169.99 with 1456 pieces included. After the recent reveal of the LEGO Harry Potter Summer 2022 wave which includes seven brand new sets, it's inevitable that some older sets will soon retire. We now have more information about LEGO's retirement plan for the LEGO Harry Potter theme with our information going up to 2024 but as the year goes on we'll very soon have more information going up to 2025. This will almost definitely change as more sets are released this year and sales for the certain set either increase or decrease. However, we can say that most of the LEGO Harry Potter sets that were released in 2020 will definitely have retired at the end of 2024. Any LEGO Harry Potter D2C sets like 75978 Diagon Alley and the rumoured 74205 Hogwarts Express D2C, usually last quite a few years and always last longer than the smaller more widely available sets. However, we'd recommend getting any retiring D2Cs as soon as possible as these will quickly increase in price and go for a hefty amount of money in a few years.
